Sushi No!! Seriously though, if you want a "fast food" type sushi that takes the same amount of time as a regular restaurant... by all means. Have at it. The fish was descent. The staff was very nice. The atmosphere, small and restricted. But I was not impressed by the food. I ordered Tuna Tataki, as I do everywhere it's served, and visually was put off. The sauce was thick and reminded me of sweet and sour sauce... definitely not was I was expecting, nor did I enjoy it. Set that aside. I also ordered the Cry Baby. This might have been a descent dish had I already not been put off by the Tuna Tataki... it was definitely spicy, the tuna seemed fresh, but I couldn't press through. There was a mushiness behind it. Sushi Go? More like Sushi Slow! We arrived at 6:35 tonight and ordered two rolls after trying to call in our order, only to be connected to an answering machine each time. We sat and waited for 50 minutes before we got our rolls and left. When we got home, we discovered that both rolls we ordered weren't even the right ones! We called the restaurant only to be told that they didn't make them wrong and argued on the phone about the entire order. The owner/chef did not offer to make them over for us or to even deliver the correct ones. And the employees don't really understand English very well and don't comprehend instructions when you make a request. We will not be returning to this establishment. read more

I will say I was impressed by how nice the employees were. The place is in a strip mall area and no one was eating in when I stopped by to order to go. I ordered the shrimp roll which was good but not earth shattering. The price was pretty much in line with other sushi places for a roll similar to this. I would not make it a point to drive out my way for it but it was good. But, they went down hill with the ahi tower. The guy who takes the order brags and brags about the quality of his food and how much bigger the portions are. Now let me say, I really am spoiled by the Blue Fish ahi tower but do also enjoy it at places such as Sushi Fugu. He opened my to go container to show me the tower and before he opened it I knew it was not gonna be okay. Most sushi places have a taller to go container so that you can take a tower to go in tact. What he did was repulsive. He spread a ginormous portion of rice in a styro container like a full meal size portion, then layered imitation crab, tuna and put avocado in the corner of the container. I tried to give it a chance but first of all he rice is too sweet and second.... it is not real crabmeat which was a first for me with a ahi tower. I ended up throwing it away. He was so proud of the portion size that he is not realizing how bad imitation crab meat is in that dish. I don't need to go back with so many other options around. read more

The sushi tastes really gross, and the workers are super overworked. I came there once and the employees looked so tired and messed up my order on accident. I don't think they were trained well. After reading the reviews, we were excited to try out this local restaurant. It was a complete fail. Many of the sushi rolls are variations of krab (aritifical crab) rolls. This should have been enough to leave. But alas, we ordered anyway hoping for the best. After waiting a very long time, the food finally arrived. The fresh fish rolls we ordered were mediocre at best. We also ordered the Ahi Tower which was barely edible. Instead of the fish listed under it's description it consisted mostly of small bay shrimp, fake crab and a couple of pieces of fish in a heavy sauce. Upon ordering, the cashier explained that they were able to offer the same high quality sushi as a full-service restaurant, but at a lesser cost because of lower over head. Not true. The bill was more than what we would have paid had we gone to anyone of a number of local sushi restaurants since everything is a la carte. read more

I read reviews before going to this 'new' sushi place. Frankly I believe maybe all the owner's friends must have given 5 stars . I think they were either not big sushi eaters or just sort of not telling the truth. The one thing I will agree on is that the staff welcomed me warmly and were very hospital. I give them 5 stars for this! I had looked at the menu online before going there and had picked out the items I wanted to try. I ordered the pork gyoza and asked how long it would take the 'hot dumplings' to cook - 3 minutes they said. I found that odd since they normally take at least 10 minutes in most places. Then I saw why. They took them out of frozen food bag and stuck them in microwave. yuck one! I had miso soup - which was not seasoned well, but it had a lot of seaweed in it (which I like). I would give that a 3 out of 5. I ordered the Angry Wife. It was tuna, salmon, white tuna, snapper and jalapeno. I did not see any snapper in it. It was a 'huge' roll - and I watched the fellow making it - I don't think he knew how to make a roll and it turned out with too much rice and very small amount of fish. The seafood was FRESH and TASTY so I would give a 10, but the rice overpowered, and they put sirachi and some brown sauce on it which overpowered the whole thing. I ate only the seafood in it. I think a 3 out of 5 is fair. Then I had the Squid Salad. THIS WAS A DEFINITE 10! It was excellent - tender squid, seasoned perfectly. I would sure order that again and again! I really liked the friendliness of the staff, and will go back again, but will certainly not order the dumplings (I have those same ones bought at the HMart sitting in my freezer). I can get fresh sashimi from the HMart as well, so I would probably go back for that delicious squid salad. I will have to try something different for the roll next time! I say 3 out of 5 stars pretty fair. read more
