The sliced beef was an appropriate thickness and had an appropriate amount of fat. I've had this dish multiple times at other restaurants and unfortunately some of them have thick cuts of meat that are very lean. The consistency of the udon was al dente, and the curry broth was not too thick either. I got the nikutama soba this time around and the egg was perfect and flavorful! He got the 10 piece course, and there wasn't anything he thought was bad or mediocre. I asked for his favorite and he mentioned both tuna options that he received, including one with truffle. It was also his first time trying caviar. When asked what could be improved, he cited that when he had his omakase in Japan, it was more than just nigiri options. He liked the little appetizers, hand rolls, and more that he had gotten there. He said that while this 10 piece course was great, he wished for a bit more variety.
