This is definitely not a place you want to go to. Review begins that I did not have sushi here. However, for any institution worth its weight, the non-seafood options should reflect similarly to its expertise. Sushi Itto had a good amount of non-seafood options on its menu so I considered this review fair game. My friend and I ordered two different ramen bowls, two types of tonkatsu ramen. The presentation is way off from most ramen places around the area. The broth is incredibly bad. It tasted as if they used some type of paste and it was incredibly salty and MSG filled. The noodles itself should be aimed for a certain type of cook... similar to al-dente. This institution definitely did not deliver on this front. The noodles were very much over cooked! The egg that is served on the side was also lacking, where the yolk was definitely over cooked into a solid, rather than the more gelatinous type we come to expect. The protein cut was incredibly flavorless. It tasted very meaty and was more room temperature than the rest of the bowl when it was served. There are way better institutions to go to for Japanese food, such as Jinya Ramen or Circle Sushi. In these places, ramen bowls go for similar prices and are way better in quality, execution, and taste. Bottom line: definitely don't come here! read more

We visited for lunch on a Saturday and the restaurant was practically empty when we arrived, but somehow our service was still a bit slow... Sushi Itto has a large menu to choose from, but some options are a little strange. Don't get me wrong, I like an interesting sushi roll, but I'm also a big fan of the classics. I was in the mood for a basic yellowtail roll but their only option has hot sauce on it, which covered up the flavor of the fish? I'm just not sure what to make of this place. Visited the last Saturday in January and I was pleasantly surprised. We decided to get sushi after a spa morning. We are new to the area and just did a Yelp search the place is located inside a shopping mall area. Nothing special about the outside it just had the name on top. We arrived late afternoon we were happy because there wasn't many people in the restaurant. The waiter Lane came and took out order he said he was new but he was the sweetest, and very accommodating. It was my sisters birthday and he even sang her and another customer happy birthday it was really cool. He took our orders mixing mine up but i took it anyway. Everything was unbelievably delicious everything !!!!!! We will be going back there at least once a month to meet up with our new birthday friends. Sushi Itto is located in the Briarcliff LaVista Shopping Center along with Red Pepper Taqueria and Thai Chili. I ordered takeout sushi from here, and it was just ok. The Smokey Mountain roll that i ordered came with shrimp tempura, crab stick, avocado, and cucumber topped with smoked salmon and cream cheese. The roll came out to be 15 bucks, and I don't think the food quality was up to par with that price point. The restaurant itself has a casual dining atmosphere, and the staff was friendly enough. My only interaction was with the woman at the takeout counter and she was pleasant. So overall, this isn't a terrible place, but there isn't much correlation between the quality of their sushi and those prices. I don't see myself returning. read more

This is a really special place for many reasons. First, the service is exceptional. On my visits, I have felt welcomes by Annie with her lovely smile and cheerful disposition and Ploy with her polite efficiency. Both remember me and my preferences. The place is sweetly decorated with hand-painted cherry blossoms. The rolls are excellent. My favorites from their menu: the misso sauce with soft tofu, are Tuna Heaven Roll, Narodo Roll, and Black Roll. Both times we have eaten here it has been in the mid to late afternoon, so there haven't been too many other diners. I came to the restaurant today because I really missed sushi and I was hoping this restaurant would be taking all the proper measures to ensure safety and proper hygiene. Upon entering I will make the acknowledgement that they are not allowing customers to dine in (good), they had hand sanitizer for customers upon entrance (good). However, the chef had on no mask (not good) and neither did the hostess. Because he is handling sushi and that is a raw food, this is very disconcerting to me. Above all else, people need to be even more aware of viruses and the possible contamination with sushi. It can't be warmed up. It's eaten straight. So I decided to not eat here. They are cautious of who enters. However they need to be cautious of not possibly infecting their customers. I came here with babe for date night on a Friday. I liked this place because it was very intimate and cozy and not overdoing it like most trendy sushi places nowadays. I saw the prices were a little higher than most but luckily babe had a gift certificate that brought our price down. This enabled us to try several different sushi rolls that we enjoyed. I'm updating my review after having ordered from here several times after my first visit. I tried 2 different sushi rolls both of which had the ingredients listed on the website. Upon picking up my food I noticed one of my rolls did not have any scallops in them although the roll was advertised to contain scallops and the second time the crab meat was missing out of my roll. I was charged full price and was not informed about the missing ingredients. I will no longer be patronizing this restaurant as I feel they took advantage of me. I came here for a quick lunch stop to order take out. It was easy to find and they were very welcoming. The place itself is well put together with lovely music playing quietly for your enjoyment. Found this place on yelp, and it was a jackpot. We had fried calamari, beef teriyaki dinner, and sashimi plate. The calamari appetizer came with two different kinds of sauce, both were delicious. Both teriyaki dinner and sashimi plate were served with soup and salad. Beef teriyaki had a nice char but still medium rare, came with a side of veggies, the teriyaki sauce was flavorful but not too sweet. Everything that was on the sashimi plate was beautifully assemabled, super fresh and tasty, worth every penny. Inside was Clean and cozy, the booth was really comfortable. Service was great, the girl was very attentive even they then later have a lot more tables. The bill came up to $75 with tip, which isn't bad consider the quilaty of the fish, and the amount you are getting. We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and whole experience. Be wary though; some of the sushi rolls sound delicious (and are, don't get me wrong) but the amount of food that comes to the table (for a staggering $14) is minuscule. Just don't forget to ask. My husband and I have been looking for a new sushi restaurant and we were very happy to find Sushi Itto. The ambience is very clean. The colors are lovely. I really enjoyed the way the back wall is one continuous booth. It's classy, and it allowed for my husband and me to comfortably sit next to each other. The food was delicious. We tried the miso soup and found it delightful. I had an order of California rolls without roe on the outside and an order of asparagus rolls. Both rolls were fresh and delightful. I also tried an order of vegetable tempura and I was thrilled that it contained a mushroom. My husband tried the fried chicken box (I think that is the name of it. Admittedly, I can't recall exactly.) It also came with tempura and he traded his mushroom for my broccoli. Before I end this, I have to mention the sweet tea.
