The sushi in this restaurant is incredible! The ingredients are fresh and their specialty rolls are very unique and tasty as well! Our personal favorite was the Valentine Roll, as it had the best taste and had a memorable appearance as well, as it was pink! The staff were very efficient and the service was so quick! I highly recommend this restaurant! Also important to note, the rolls are usually between $5-10 for the regular rolls and $12-$15 for the specialty rolls, which makes their sushi quite affordable. They also have an " all you can eat" sushi for $36, but as we didn't eat more than one or two rolls per person, that didn't seem worth it to us.

I've been to Sushi Masa probably 6 times in the last year since they opened and what started as an amazing deal for good sushi has sadly fallen off hard. I understand that buffets need to be profitable but this is the first time I've had the leftover extra charge actually used as a threat **while still eating my meal** not to mention that the fish quality has suffered. During my last visit I noticed that they redesigned the menu with new restrictions, specifically on sashimi. There is now a 20 piece per fish type restriction for each order. Which is fair since you can just order more on the next round (no more 60 salmon sashimi orders for me lolol). But what leaves a bad taste is that even when we ordered within their restrictions, we received less than what we ordered. At a table of 10 adults at two tables, and we were told that the restriction was per table, so we could order two times (so 40 pieces). We did that and received less than 20. Again not the worst since it's all you can eat. I give it a pass since we still got most of our order. We then ordered a large plate of nigiri, which we gladly began eating. The server then brings out another identical plate which we respond by saying we are already currently eating it and didn't order a second one, literally pointing to the plate on our table. After talking to the manager the server says we have to eat it or get charged. Next, we ordered a large order of hand rolls. First round was great, delicious. Decided to order the exact same thing again, but the spider hand roll that came with cucumbers the first time didn't the second. Plus the rice to fish ratio was obviously changed so there was more rice now. We could tell the manager was unhappy with us and was trying to limit the food brought to our table. It's a buffet, par for the course that we will put in big orders. Don't reciprocate with a poor attitude that begrudgingly gives us portions of food smaller than what we ordered. If we are going to waste food we'll pay for it gladly. But we actually know our limits and while we order big, we eat big and finish what we order. I want to brush this off as a one time bad experience but I doubt I'll be back after this. Disappointed that a restaurant I liked so much has changed for the worse. I still give it 3 stars since the food was okay not great, but the attitude from the manager is what dragged this experience way down.

Been here a few times when they opened and loved all my experiences. They had great service, great food, and most importantly, they had a fairly decent price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here for dinner two nights ago and although the restaurant itself looks the same, a lot of things were different. I'm not sure if they changed management recently, but I was pretty disappointed with my visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Changes: -Their dinner menu is ONLY AYCE when before, you have the option of getting an entree or roll if you're not that hungry -Menu is also more condensed; they took out some of the food items and added a hibachi section -Drinks are not included, when before they were. (We did not know of this change.. soda is $2.50 and soda water is $1.50 just fyi) -Price changed from $34.95 to $36.95 (adult) -Pepper Tuna used to be very moist and good, but it was dry and lacked flavor -[[HIGHLIGHT]]There is now a limit of 2 hour seating when before there were none[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -For Sashimi, there is now a 20 piece max for each item, when before there were none -There is also a fee now for wasting food (not sure how much though) We had our usual and ordered their seafood boil, which is a limited option. Sashimi was great, no issues there. Edamame wasn't steamed all the way, not sure how you can mess that up. They took out their stir-fry noodles, which was one of my favorites so that was disappointing. They had a tom yum soup, but turns out it was a typo(?). Onto their seafood boil. They have 3 different flavors of cajun, garlic butter, and something else. Our mistake was getting their cajun. The boil consisted of 4 shrimps, 4 crawfish, 2 mussels, and 1 potato. The only great thing was the crawfish and potato. Shrimp was overcooked. Now let me talk about their cajun seasoning or sauce....What recipe did they use??? Cause that sauce was TERRIBLE. It was NOT cajun. It was more like a thick salad dressing sauce and it was NOT GOOD. They should maybe use a different kind of cajun recipe or maybe not sell something cajun-y cause they are a sashimi/sushi place, NOT a seafood boil place. Our boil was also lukewarm, if not warm and lowkey seemed like it was left out and not fresh.. We finished it not because we wanted to, but more so because we didn't want to get charged for wasting food so that's pretty sad. You are better off going to kickin crab for a much better and tastier experience. They also sell cocktails now for $10. Overall, this place used to be great and we would always recommend other people to come here, but after our most recent visit, we will probably go to other ayce sushi places around the area. For 2 people, you can easily spend over $100+ just on their new prices and drinks..

Walked into Sushi Masa in Plano for the first time and grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and outgoing , which made me feel right at home. There was a chatty couple sitting next to me, we all starting talking, it's was such a fun vibe. The bartender gave us some recommendations on what to order. Every dish was tasty, and I loved most of the portions was small, perfect for trying a little bit of everything. The biggest surprise, the Sashimi was included in all you can eat MENU ! Didn't expect that and it totally made my night . Definitely coming back for more good food and good company!

First time here...and Sidney made sure it was a five star visit. She was very attentive to our table and made sure we were satisfied. Food was excellent. Sashimi pieces were somewhat sliced smaller than what I'm used to. The LSU roll was great and I had to reorder it to enjoy it again. It's a nice big restaurant that seems well maintained. Definitely worth the price!

My new favorite AYCE sushi near home! Took the family here on a Wednesday night and surprisingly a decent dinner crowd. Short 15min wait for table for 4. Wait was worth it. Service was quick with taking orders and food coming out. Food came out less than 10min after placing our order. Decent selection for appetizers, cooked entrees, sushi, sushi rolls, and sashimi. AYCE dinner comes with free fountain drinks and dessert! Highlights had to be yellow tail sashimi. Melt in your mouth delicious. Rolls were good but caution because ordering can get you full quick! Lastly, try the fried rice! I think they put butter in the fried rice!

For the price, I would come back. The quality is good enough for an AYCE. If you're really into omakase and top tier sushi, maybe skip this spot but if you want to indulge in some seafood/ craving salmon, it's a great spot.

Personally for me, this place is a wonderful place if you want decent all-you-can-eat sushi for a reasonable price. If you do the all-you-can-eat, you do get a complimentary drink (1 alcoholic drink or soda). There's really not a limit to how many pieces you want to order but you do get charged if you waste food. I'd say the only thing I'm not a fan of here is the noodles. The tuna and salmon are sublime.

PSA: They no longer do lunch AYCE prices on the weekends starting this month. Today I took my friend to sushi masa because last time I went they still had lunch AYCE pricing on the weekends which was around $21.95 per person. They must've quietly changed it because every table that got sat around us had the same question for the servers. The waiter informed me that they stopped doing it starting this month which was a bummer because it was such a great deal. Now on the weekends the AYCE price for lunch and dinner time is $34.95. We ended up still doing the AYCE option because their sushi is pretty great quality. I feel like we ate our money's worth despite the price increase and left satisfied. Their salmon is so buttery, I love it! We went on Sunday at noon and there was no wait. The restaurant itself is spacious and started filling up a bit closer to 1pm. There is also a lot of parking here.

My family loves sushi, but going with 4 people, including 2 teenage boys, to an a la carte place quickly becomes unaffordable. So what do you do? You find a good AYCE place, that's what. Now that's easier said than done, but with Sushi Masa, we found one. First, this isn't a buffet. Everything is made fresh when you order it, which greatly improves freshness, which is vital for good sushi. Good ingredients are important, too, which it seems they use. The sashimi was definitely the best AYCE we've had. The salmon, scallops, and yellowtail were delicious! The warm food was good, too. From the teriyaki steak to the katsu chicken and the tempura (shrimp, mushrooms, sweet potatoes), it was all tasty. Leave some room for the fried cheesecake, though, because it was YUMMY! The first drink or unlimited sodas are included in the price, too. So, for $35 per person for dinner, it's a pretty good price. Finally, staff was nice and attentive. We never really ran out of food or drink, so we had an all-around excellent experience. read more

I will preface this by saying that I am a fairly regular customer--we bring all of our out-of-town guests and also celebrate birthdays and stuff here regularly. I maybe come in every other month and was last here exactly 2 months ago for my son's birthday. We normally love this place--food is normally very good, service is normally very good. Other clues I got from this outing was that the physical menu had changed and they stopped including beverages in the AYCE price and the prices had gone up a little bit. I'm not sure if it was a change in management or ownership, or something else. Anyway, last night was easily my worst experience by a long shot. We made a reservation for a party of 15 (including kids)--fine and everything was great. I am used to there being a HUGE line and the dining room being full. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I noticed that the place was about 50% full and they even closed off the section next to us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat down and ordered our food and drinks like normal. Our table was long and what ended up happening was that one side of our table got most (not all) of their food, while the other side got one or two dishes at a time. My side of the table ended up only getting 1/2 of the sushi order that we made when we sat down. We ordered some more food (both kitchen and sushi bar) that never made it and eventually ended up canceling most of it after ONE AND A HALF HOURS or waiting. We checked in with the waitress multiple times AND the manager once. The waitress kept checking in to see if "everything was fine" but no we still did not get our food. She kept assuming everything was coming out. The manager said he would check on our order but never followed up with us. The only interaction we had with him after was a "Thank you!" as we were walking out. The rest of our party ended up leaving before we got our food because the kids got restless. We stayed another 1/2 hour in hopes of getting the food we ordered, and just ended up canceling out of frustration. I don't know what it was about this outing. The restaurant wasn't nearly as busy as it normally is, so it's not a busyness problem. The lack of communication between kitchen/sushi bar and wait staff is an issue. The manager seemed to ignore us after hearing we had been waiting a really long time also rubbed us the wrong way. Food was great (when we did receive it) so that's the only reason I'm giving more than 1 star. I was hoping that this is a one-time miss. But after reading a few other recent reviews, it looks like my situations like mine (previously having great experiences, but being extremely disappointed) are not unique. It's a shame--I absolutely LOVED this place. There are many similar AYCE sushi concepts opening up around the area, but I've remained loyal to this place because I've had so many good experiences here. But after last night, I am ready to try the other places. read more

I would first like to comment on how absolutely reasonable the pricing is. If you are really hungry and are craving sushi, but know that sushi will not fill you up: this is absolutely the place to go. I will say the quality of fish is not the best but you kind of have to expect that with all you can eat place. Also, the miso soup was kind of watery. That being said the Gyoza was absolutely fantastic and I really enjoyed the avocado rolls. I had no idea it was an all-you-can-eat place before I went in so I didn't really get to eat that much but I will be coming back and trying way more food with my boyfriend and I will definitely post an update as to the quality and other rolls! read more

We loved our time here! The food was delicious and the portion size was great (4-6pc apps, 8pc rolls). They allow you to order as much as you want at a time, which is great at an AYCE sushi place. $35, no time limit, and includes soft drinks with refills or 1 alcohol + desserts. Kitchen closes at 9:15 so come early! I loved the ambient lighting and comfy booths. A nice change of pace from other restaurants like this that sometimes skimp on the vibe. The sushi was fresh and tasty and our server Kai was attentive and made great recommendations. Given the time of day we came (7:30pm), service and food to table times were quick! read more

We were craving some AYCE sushi, so we came to sushi masa for dinner. Currently, it's at $34.95 before tax, and it includes a drink (even an alcoholic one). Monday was still busy, but we didn't need a reservation The sashimi was so good and fresh. We pretty much got all of them. They were very nice and well presented. The main important thing was that it wasted fresh, which it was. The salmon was probably my favorite! We got the tuna tataki, tuna tartar, salmon tartar, Takoyaki, bubba Gump roll, crazy yellowtail, jolly roll, mango salmon, tuna Tataki, shumai, baby tiger, I-10, yummy roll, and all of the desserts. All of it was super delicious. Our server, Abhik, was really cool. It was our first time at Sushi Masa, and he explained the menu very well. Plus, he smelled good and his bartending skills were on point. The AYCE option also has a complimentary soft drink, domestic beer, small house sake, or house wine with the AYCE. You can upgrade as well for an upcharge. My woman said it was slightly cold in there, maybe around 70 degrees. We were sat in the bar area, and they were playing some nice jams. Sushi Masa offers all you can eat sushi during the lunch and dinner hours. The prices are very reasonable and you have plenty of items to choose from. Our server was incredibly nice and we got great service but we did have to remind them a couple of times on items we hadn't received yet. Other than that the restaurant is really nice decorated really well and all very modern and up to date. Definitely a spot I would go back to again for affordable sushi. read more

I've been to Sushi Masa a couple of times for the AYCE and the dinner menu is absolutely worth it. Service is overall good but can be a little bit slower if you choose to do the dinner menu during lunch time so keep that in mind. It's fantastic that that's even an option though. Because the focus seems to be AYCE it seems better for families or for a casual date. The quality of the sushi is fantastic. The fish is super high quality and fresh and the best part of the dinner menu is that you can order sashimi! I thought that the salmon and the yellowtail sushi and sashimi were really good here. The rice in the sushi was cooked perfectly and was seasoned great. Appetizers were fine too but nothing special in particular. I'll keep coming back if the fish quality remains high! read more

Lunch AYCE special is sooo worth! Sushi is good quality, although some of the rolls flavors were a bit questionable so we mostly stuck to nigiri. Service was okay... I've never been to a sushi place where you have to ask for wasabi and ginger, and the sushi sometimes took a while to come out even though it was pretty empty, but besides that I would be back again! read more

First off, we were greeted by several employees and were promptly seated. Kate was our server and she was amazing. We mainly ordered sashimi and hand rolls--we greatly appreciated that these were options because we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the meal as much with the nigiri style only. Solid option for those craving sushi without the expensive sushi price. $35 AYCE dinner including unlimited fountain drinks or first domestic beer is a great price. Went here to celebrate my brother's birthday and was super happy we made a reservation a head of time. They are super busy during the weekends but luckily we didn't have to wait. Service was great and the food was decent. The sealing deal for me was no caps on the amount of sushi or sashimi each round. Other AYCE sushi places will cap a number of sushi/sashimi per round but not here! Only room for improvement was sometimes the kitchen does get backed up so our dessert ended up coming before our appetizers which made for a weird food experience but we managed to stuff it all down. Would come back but definitely make an resevation a head of time :) read more

We came here and ordered a la carte, but I definitely want to come here for their AYCE next time. Both rolls were DELISH and the presentation made it all the better. The crazy yellowtail roll was my favorite, I've never had anything with that combination of flavors. Just a note that their spicy tuna is chopped super finely - I didn't love the texture but that is just my personal preference. The inside of the restraunt is huge and definitley accomodates big and small parties - it seems like they have a very efficient flow. Our server was very attentive. We enjoyed our visit to Sushi Masa. I had the sushi AYCE and my husband had hibachi chicken. They have a sliding scale for kids on the AYCE option which is cool. I love that not everyone at our table had to get the menu; this is great for parties with people who don't like sushi. Best of both worlds. The AYCE options was good but I wish they brought smaller portions so you can try more things. I didn't want to waste food so I was only able to fry two rolls. Both were good but I wanted more variety. The tempura was fresh and a nice variety of veggies. We went midday on a Saturday. The waitress only had one table in our section but she was attentive. The place is set up with cool trees and a beautiful entrance. They covered the fireplace from When it was the steakhouse but didn't clean or paint the brick so that's a little weird. Paying attention to some minor details, like replacing the broken tiles in the ladies bathroom, would go a long way. read more

This has the absolute worst service I've experienced by far because of the 4 girl hosts standing at the front. They were incredibly rude and did not even acknowledge us when we walked up to the hostess stand. When we were speaking to them, they snapped back at us along with cutting us off. They were on their phones the whole time instead of speaking to us when we first walked up to the stand. The attitude and entitlement was appalling to see considering our past experience here was fine. After we told them how many people we were here for (which was 9) the girl rolled her eyes and snapped at us again. We waited 20 minutes until someone from my party asked if our table was ready because we noticed an empty table. They nodded their head towards the direction. This is disappointing that Sushi Masa does not train their hostesses on how to be decent human beings who have any sense of respect for their customers. We left extremely dissatisfied with our experience here due to these rude sassy immature employees. It was overall slightly above average? I come from Las Vegas, and we have some really good stuff over there. This is decent, minus some classic iterations I'm used too, but service was great, friendly, and attentive The restaurant was very open and I feel like it was hard to have a conversation with my partner across the table but I feel like I could loudly hear everyone else talking. Price for dinner is a bit steep in my opinion, but for what you get, it's decent Decent, I'd go back. read more

We tried this newly opened Japanese Fusion, Sushi and Hibachi that just opened about a month ago (Memorial Day) in Plano, TX. Stopped by to try Planos newest AYCE and it was great! Giving this place 5 stars because their service is amazing. Obviously they're a little new so a few kinks to work out but I have to mention that we had Raymond who was amazing and helped our server out when she was busy with other tables and even brought us something that was not on the menu that we asked about. Everyone was super pleasant and accommodating. I do like that they do not make everyone at the table participate in AYCE and have other options on the menu. The AYCE is a pretty good deal, $34.99 and they have free alcohol offered with it. We ordered a small bottle of sake per person, which was well worth it, in my opinion. Since we both like sashimi more than sushi, we opted for the eat all you can dinner menu so that we can just eat the fish and not to have to hide the rice ;) We got appetizers, mango salmon and yellowtail jalapeño. These were yummy! Thanks to Peter for recommending these. The sashimi has limited selection, but for the price they are charging, it is already worth it. It was fresh. We had a great time at Sushi Masa. We ordered a number of foods from their AYCE menu and we were not disappointed, every single dish was delicious and enjoyable. I really liked their cucumber roll and Sushi Masa has the option to order rolls made without rice for a small upcharge. This was impressive because that's difficult to make and I love seeing low-carb options as I have a low carb diet. We visited Saturday night and unfortunately service was extremely slow and the server seemed frazzled. Some of the dishes we ordered got forgotten about. I came here for the first time this evening and had such a wonderful experience. The restaurant itself is pretty big and busy. They mix modern interior with traditional decor to provide a welcoming environment. They offer AYCE sushi and or a la carte sushi along with other kitchen items such as hibachi, rice bowls, and noodle soups. The hostess in the front greeted me upon arrival, they did their best to accommodate my requests which I'm very thankful for! My server was Tony and he was very friendly and attentive! I met the managers, Tim and Andy, and they were both very kind and generous people! I loved that everyone helps out one another here, they have a great flow of team work. The other servers were kind enough to assist in clearing my tables as well as serving the plates. The food was great as well. The sushi was fresh and not the frozen discolored fish you see at other AYCE sushi restaurants. The sushi chefs worked quickly and efficiently, and plated beautiful pieces. Let me just say this ACYE sushi spot is pretty good. It's not anything crazy but for an AYCE spot I'd definitely recommend. The quality of the fish honestly exceeded my expectations. The salmon skin is crazy good and on top of that the seared salmon is my favorite! I thought the service was okay. Today is my mom's actual 70th birthday. We wanted to take her to try the all-you-can-eat sushi buffet. Thanks for the friend recommendation - I wasn't disappointed at all! It was great food and great service. I was pleasantly surprised that their rice wasn't stacked up like other buffet restaurants. Great value for great food. Most buffets are limited to three rounds, but this place has no limit; however, if you don't finish, they will charge you for the leftovers! We tried almost everything on the menu. Great! My Family and I always come here and the last 3-4 times we have requested Olivia because she is absolutely AMAZING!! She will take the time to chat and build rapport with you. Probably one of the best AYCE sushi spots I've been to in the Plano area! Sushi Masa will probably be my go-to restaurant if I'm ever needing an AYCE sushi night. Came on a weeknight and it was still pretty packed, can't imagine what it's like on the weekends. AYCE is about $38(?) pp, with a variety of sushi, rolls, appetizers (yakitori, sides, katsu, tempura, salads, etc) to choose from. Cool thing was each of us got a complimentary alcoholic drink for the first round which was awesome! Favorite of the night would be yellowtail, salmon and escolar. The yellowtail was one of the best I've had in a while! Rolls were okay and not super spectacular - will probably skip out on that next time (I know, why did we order rolls at AYCE sushi, we were curious lol). Sushi orders came out fast, but the rest came out a bit slow so just a heads up! Dessert also took an extra minute but wasn't a super long wait. Will definitely be back next time! read more

Food is an excellent value as the fish to rice ratio is unbeatably good. Plus, there are plenty of no rich options such as tuna tataki, pepper tuna and cucumber wrap. The all you can eat lunch is a great value because it even includes any non-alcoholic drink with free refills (sodas or ice tea: sweet or unsweetened). Most of their servers are very attentive. The place is very clean and the music is modern light rock in English, not some Asian music in another language. Their servers intermittently came to check in on us to see what we needed and ask how our meal was, took our drink order at the beginning, refiled our drinks without us asking when our drinks were getting low, took down our orders correctly and answered our questions regarding various dishes on the menu. While visiting our daughter in Plano, we searched for dinner on Yelp and found a few sushi spots. Browsing through the menu we noticed this spot offers AYCE sushi and more, so we headed over. It's located near a shopping mall with plenty of parking. We got on the waitlist and were seated within 15 mins. Large space, with beautiful stone walls and wood beams provide a comfortable setting that didn't feel crowded although they had a steady waitlist. The AYCE includes bottomless non-alcoholic beverages or a single wine/beer selection , appetizers and dessert for $34.95 ($21.95 at lunch). The rolls were fabulous and large. Everything we ordered was good. We filled up after two rounds and didn't get to try more dishes. We'll have to return for more another time. read more

I absolutely love the scallops here, it's my fav thing!! You can either get it as sashimi or nigiri. The sushi here is very fresh and not fishy. The restaurant vibe is chill and the servers are super friendly and nice. This is my go-to spot for sashimis and appetizers. My wife, I, and friend of ours went to Sushi Masa on a Saturday night. I gotta say Sushi Masa has one of the best sushi i ever tasted in awhile. Coming from California where the Sushi is pretty top notch there. Sushi Masa is in my top five. I had the all you can eat sushi that was very good. My wife and friend had a Bento Box and they said that good also. But their dessert are very good. I would highly recommend the Tempura Cheesecake. All i can say when i took my first bite of the Cheesecake was OMG . Very very tasty and delicious. They had Deep Fried Oreos. I'll try that next time. The service was good. Food The change in ownership lead to a change in the menu. It is not a good change. A lot of items have been removed. You no longer get a free drink with the all you can eat. The short ribs are just fatty pieces and no meat. The sashimi was not melt in your mouth fresh tasting like before. It was more chewy and definitely not fresh. Service Multiple times we got orders brought out to us that we did not order. Some items that we did order never came out. Normally on a weekend night they are packed and there is a wait but now with the new menu changes it was very slow with zero wait. They increased their prices by a lot especially for kids. Came back twice already. First time service was ok (maybe because we had a big gathering with 2 long tables) but one server per table. Second time we came back and our server was over and beyond. My kids love it he all you can eat there and asked to come back for his birthday again. Food is always good. Not every server is the same so I would never leave a bad review cuz of one server. I would highly recommend this place if you like sushi and all you can eat. You order, they make it and bring it to your table. No one gets to cough or sneeze or even touch and put back the sushi. So in my opinion, it's a whole lot more sanitized that way. read more

We recently visited Sushi Masa to try their all-you-can-eat option, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant itself is pretty nice, with a clean and comfortable atmosphere. I'd recommend making reservations because it tends to get busy. We were initially skeptical since our past experiences with all-you-can-eat sushi places haven't been great. However, Sushi Masa was different. There's no buffet line with pre-made items sitting out. Instead, they give you a menu, and you can order as much as you like, round after round. There's no limit, though they do ask that you avoid wasting food, as leftover items are charged at à la carte prices. This wasn't an issue for us. Since you're ordering directly from the menu, everything is freshly prepared. We never felt like any dish had been sitting out or was being reused, which made a noticeable difference in quality. We paced ourselves, ordering small portions each round until we were full. The kids enjoyed it too, even trying sashimi for the first time. The quality of the food was much better than expected! Fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. When we ordered, the staff didn't flinch or make us feel like we were overdoing it. Service was decent, they cleared plates quickly, and we never felt rushed. If you go with the buffet, you get free refills on regular drinks or one alcoholic beverage. We opted for the hot sake, which was a nice touch. Prices are on the higher side ($50 minimum, or $65 to add options like wagyu ribeye and lobster), so make sure you bring a large appetite. I stuck with the Gold tier, which still includes a stacked lineup: Wagyu Beef Belly, Wagyu Brisket, Chuck Roll, Skirt Steak, Top Blade, and Rib Meat. Every single meat option was delicious. The grills get super hot, and the staff is quick to bring fresh grills whenever needed. For appetizers and sushi, I started with the squid salad, kimchi, and seaweed salad from the salad bar, all fresh and tasty. I also ordered the Wagyu Tartare, Scallop Sashimi, and the Yellowtail Crudo (basically a Hama Chili). The Yellowtail Crudo was easily my favorite sushi item. Finished everything off with a waffle cone and matcha ice cream. Service was perfect from start to finish. The vibes are great, and since it is brand new, everything feels fresh. I do like the tags of how long to cook the meat. Lobster tail was alright, but a little rubbery for me, but it did take some quite some time to cook. Service was great and I over tipped since it was great. I would come back for sure. But this is only on special occassions.

By the end of our dinner, we regretted every life choice that led us to cheat on our favorite sushi restaurant literally located across the street! First, the Ahi Tuna Tower. Tiny portion, overpriced, and drowned in teriyaki sauce (see my pics). If you need to smother raw fish in sauce, it's probably not fresh. Red flag #1. Next, the Orange Blossom Roll. Small sad bite sized pieces (see pic), the tuna was nearly black, smelled fishy, and it was chewy. We sent it back. To their credit, they took it off the bill. But at that point, we abandoned the Tuna Tower altogether because... why gamble getting sick? The Dragon Roll followed. Also small in size for the price, didn't match the picture on the menu but was somewhat edible. I feel like Kroger sushi would have been a better option. The wait staff stayed polite even though our disappointment was practically radiating across the room. When asked, "How was your dinner?" we gave the safest answer possible: "It was okay." Oddly, no manager showed up to our table .. on a Friday night. On a positive note, they allow BYOB--which honestly feels like part of the business model.
