AAAHH! I love T. Anthony's so much I can't stand it. Coming from NY, it's the best pizza I've had since Gino's on LI circa '93. It's just the right taste and consistency. I really don't get those people that are all "Ooh, deep dish," or "OMG, Upper Crust!" Give me a plain cheese pizza from T. Anthony's any day and I will be completely happy. Solid slice of cheese pizza, I must say. Not a slice I would go out of my way for, and not a slice I would pay full price for, but solid nonetheless. It's that floppy, salty cheesiness that really hits you at first. To top it off, it doesn't even need condiments or toppings - as is is just dandy. Awww, what fun memories I have of this place from my many sickeningly hungover mornings during college. I am so sad (about 5% of the time) that I no longer live close to T Anthonys. For my roommate and I, this was our spot (well, one of about 20 in the Brookline/Brighton area). Sadly (or awesomely, depending on how you look at it) the guys behind the counter got to know us so well that they never even had to ask what we wanted. We just strolled/stumbled in, said hi/made some sort of indistinguishable groaning noise, got a booth and they'd bring us our order - two ham and cheese omelets, side of fries (not home fries - FRENCH fries), one sweetened iced tea and one non-sweetened iced tea. As a former BU undergrad, T's was always the place to go after a night out, but even nowadays (sober and older) I actually really like their pizza. Not too thick, flavorful, and full of cheese, their plain hits the spot for me and it's probably my favorite in the area and my default go-to on the rare occasions I'm in a pizza mood (Naked Pizza is probably my other, newer option). If you're beyond college, try to stick to delivery, especially late at night (drunk college kids = annoying). read more

T. Anthony's is a Commonwealth/BU landmark. The food is decent and cheap and is a nice change from dining hall food. It's a great place to go late at night since it's open later than most places. My biggest complaint with the place is its horrible sense in picking delivery drivers. Some of them are really rude. read more

Wow! I have ordered the grilled chicken dinner with rice several times, and it is among one of the best grilled chicken dinners that I have ever had. The italian-dressing marinaded chicken is so flavorful, and the rice was absolutely delicious. Every time I order from T Anthony's, either from Foodler.com or Grubhub.com it comes piping hot and very fast. It usually comes with a bulkie roll/pita wrap and a few pads of butter, and the portions is very generous. It has become my go-to takeout place. I love the panino sandwich. In fact I didn't want to write a review simply because that means I'll be craving one for tomorrow. Fresh motz, tomatoes marinated in delicious olive oil and crispy Italian bread. Simple but truly incredible. The pizza is obviously really popular too. I always hated the clientele who hung out at T Anthony's (meathead BU jocks), and the workers there always seemed full of typical Bostonian chip-on-the-shoulder attitude, but the food was pretty good. And just absolutely awful for you! Everything is deep fried, smothered in cheese...and hella yummy! The chicken parmesan sub and hot wings were always one of my default orders. read more

Cool spot right on Comm ave to grab a couple slices or a delicious chicken parm dinner. Came here a few years ago (more than a few) when I checked out BU and have started going there on the reg since I moved into the area. Reasonable prices, delivery, and a short walk are all reasons why I'd give this place 4 stars. Nice guys that work there and talk about football so you know its a good spot. I've been a regular here for four years. Over time the cracks really begin to show. Consistently had experiences like the one tonight. Received a completely wrong, cold order an hour late after someone from the shop called me up to tell me that I didn't order it online the right way (how does one state what toppings they want incorrectly?). Good pizza, great location for drunk BU kids on their way home to the dorms- what's not to love? I used to get take out chicken parm from here as well and it wasn't too shabby. Surprisingly, it has breakfast- and it is cheap and GREAT. Cheap, good food, right by campus. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, don't be surprised to see college kids singing or climbing on the tables. They redid this place recently, so now it even looks kind of classy. read more

This is one of the only places open late around Boston, until 3am. It has really good pizza and great for an after bar drunk eating adventure, but their other menu items are sub par. I had their Greek salad one time and their ravioli the next. If you're looking for some good pizza this is the place to go, but as for a good Italian restaurant, try another. read more

I can't say enough positive things about T Anthony's. I'm from New Jersey and obviously a little cocky about pizza, but T Anthony's does not disappoint. The crust is so thin, the sauce is so sweet, and the cheese is so thick. Beyond the pizza, which is always perfectly crispy, the steak tip dinner is phenomenal w delectable little steak tips in a light teriyaki sauce w veggies and rice. Absolutely terrible. I ordered 1 lrg pizza from here recently. It came 45 min late and the delivery guys had the worst attitude about having to bring it up to my apt. They claimed they were parked in the middle of the street (they weren't, I could see them) and couldn't just leave the car. Isn't that why there is 2 of you...? When I met them in the lobby they both started screaming & swearing at me. I called immediately and spoke to the owner and he essentially said "it was a busy night so these things happen". I'm a paying customer, it's absolutely unacceptable. Very poor business model if you can't manage to deliver food calmly, hot and relatively on time just because it's busy. I used to order from here pretty often but will never go back. Order at your own risk. read more

Located right near all of the parties hosted at BU, and right by the T, T Anthony's is a cheap, convenient place to grap some pizze before or after a party. With late, late night hours on weekends, you are bound to run into some drunken friends, or just meet some new ones. Do not, however, expect to go and not wait in line. With such great pizza and in a busy location, there is usually a wait, but it is well worth it. read more

I only come here for the steak tips and rice. The tips aren't salty and more on the sweet side. Good with the hot sauce.

I used to get sub's from them all the time when I lived down the street. Their pizza is good, but I loved their subs. It's a very nice place. When there is nice weather they open up their huge glass windows to let in the air. Come lunch time, there can be a waiting line for order, but it's worth it. read more

I love the food here. The staff is friendly if you are friendly. If you are impersonal and direct, they are too. If you are rude, they are too. The place is usually busy around dinner time, which is the worst time to go. The best time go is in the morning/afternoon, when they pay extra special attention to the customers and food, and when Carmella is cooking in the back (she created the menu and recipes). Bottom line, go with the chicken parmesan, the steak tip dinner, or the beef lasagna, these are the best meals here. Don't get raviolis, they are hard and watery at the same time. They fly through food too, so everything is always fresh. Food is fairly cheap - T's fed me through college. read more

These guys have the best cheese pizza I've had. The pepperoni is also great! Very classical, nothing too fancy but absolutely delicious. The only problem I've had is that they don't deliver to Cambridge at all as far as I can tell. Definitely recommended. read more
