This is my favorite T% out of all the other locations I've tried! The interior is spacious with a lot of tables to sit down and study on, unlike the other locations. My favorite drinks are their yogurt series and the jasmine matcha cloud. The workers are always welcoming and friendly. read more

I recently visited T% Coffee & Tea with friends, and it was such a cozy and delicious experience. Their matcha coconut drinks were super refreshing -- not too sweet. I also got free hot roasted rice milk tea. It was very good and warm. We also ordered popcorn chicken and taro cake. This was arguably the worst matcha I've ever had in my life, I've been to Asia/SoCal/NorCal and tried matcha all over, I've even made my own which was better than this one. I ordered a strawberry matcha that was extremely grainy and not sifted well enough. I went back later to return it without taking maybe more than two sips because it was just a waste of money to me ($8.25+) When I got there the guy working apologized and was very nice about it, i just said no worries and I requested a refund. He pulled a female manager from the back who then asked what the problem was with the drink. I said that it was just incredibly gritty and not made well at all. She then denied the request for a refund stating that Matcha is the exclusion of any other drink she would refund? When I asked why she simply said because matcha is so expensive now. That is understandable, but at the same time, why would someone not have taken more than a sip and come back to return it two hours later? I explained to her with all due respect this is the least appealing matcha I've ever had and she just kept asking what was wrong with it. I had to repeat my case multiple times and she kept denying the refund and said could we just make you another drink? At this point I said with all due respect, no thank you and I just want the refund. She then asked me why it wasn't good again and I just said it's powdery, chalky and very grainy. I said it's as if someone didn't whisk the matcha well and then that's when she admittedly said that a machine does it. I said oh? Why isn't it just hand made? She just said the machine makes it and that nobody has complained before. After denying another drink she finally said that she can do it and apologized. It's unfortunate because it was my first time here and I wouldn't come back or recommend it, she even went as far as saying maybe it's because I requested 0% sugar but that wasn't it at all - the problem was the matcha drink isn't hand made completely, they use a machine for the matcha which is not how you traditionally make it at all. It was a lot of time having to explain myself multiple times and essentially state my case for a refund of something that I didn't even drink. Though I appreciate the refund, I genuinely think it doesn't make sense, even the sign in the store says "if you are dissatisfied with the drink, we can remake it" So yes, it's true they will honor that but I'm a bit confused as to why they would refund anything else besides the matcha - considering it's made with the machine, I do believe anyone who's had real hand made matcha wouldn't enjoy it - if it's that powdery. read more

The wait time is about 10-15 minutes for food and drinks due to there being 4-5 people working. The service is pretty quick regardless as they served us the popcorn chicken and lobster balls first. The popcorn chicken was crispy and had the basil flavor other popcorn chickens lack. The lobster ball was flavorful and crispy. I had a mango green tea with lychee jelly with 80% sugar. You are able to tell the tea was brewed not powered due to strong green tea flavor. The space had a lot of tables and the Ac was refreshing. I wish any small business owner the best. I Just went there for matcha latte and popcorn chicken. Matcha was not very flavorful. I tried the fish balls too - was okay; nothing noteworthy. The popcorn chicken has a five spice flavor and was crunchy but a bit oily. While I was there, the staff at the counter accidentally gave me a to go bag meant for a positive reviewer on Yelp and got scolded by a man who I assumed was an owner. My daughters and I went today to grab a drink and snack after the movies. Ordering was easy and staff were friendly right when we came in. My oldest daughter ordered a mango yogurt drink and she actually preferred more of a smoothie drink. I told the staff that we enjoyed our drinks but I think they noticed that my daughter wasn't really drinking hers. I rarely go to soft openings in Elk Grove because I know the wait will take a while and T% was no exception. This location has been very anticipated and I now know why: aside from the smooth aesthetic T% offers over boba tea their offerings are pretty good. We ordered two drinks (I got the tiger brown sugar milk tea with boba & my husband got the strawberry green tea with boba) and a selection of snacks. The chocolate mousse cake was alright but the strawberry chocolate croffle was even better. The popcorn chicken was the star however and quite tasty; there's a reason almost every person ordered it! I think we'll be back once the hubbub dies down since getting in line and leaving with our food it took at least an hour, so be prepared! read more
