Penne with Sausage & Broccoli Rane

For those missing their Nonna's cooking, or old school NY/NJ Italian cooking, Frank & Kevin will make you feel like home! Small, unpretentious with Godfather & Sopranos posters on the wall, this place has everything I miss about NY/NJ American-Italian. Kevin and Frank are both lovely conversationalist with deep ties to 80/90's NY Italian food. With large portilns, tThe Penne with Sausage and broccoli rabe was as good as my homemade, the carbonara was creamy & decadent, the chicken franchese was tender & flavorful! This is not fancy Italian, this is I came home to Nonna & Nonno's house for soul soothing Italian food and welcome home good feels!

Talia's is one of the most authentic and most casual Italian ambiance's I have experienced here in South Florida. Great service- very quick. From the owner, Frankie, and manager, Kevin, to all of the memorabilia all over the joint, and of course their food, make this place a local hit! My favorite thing to order is their Greek salad, best in Boca (no joke!), cheese pizza (New York style, so dang good and crisp) and occasionally we mix it up with Penne a la Vodka! Don't miss out on this hidden local gem! If you're lucky, you might even get a few jokes out of Frankie and some good stories from Kevin too.

THE MICHAELANGELO! Delicious. Get it on the ciabatta bread. It will blow your mind!

Sometimes the food is good, and other times the food is horrible. They will not make your order well, and they will not accommodate your needs. Beware of this company. Also, the owner literally chased me out of there years ago because they didn't give me the sandwich with the correct ingredients. Never order from them.

Everyone at our wedding had to know who catered it! My guest were raving about how delicious the food tasted! When Frankie says , "you ordered too much food , " listen to him! We enjoyed a ton of leftovers as well! Thank you for making our day extra special!

    Greek Salad???
    Britt Z.

Sometimes after just one experience, you know there wont be a round two, sorta like dating, right? Stopped in to grab a salad. I asked what ingredients were in the Greek and was surprised when he told me roasted peppers and artichokes are in it. For those of you who don't know me, I am very picky. And I know what I like and I have to be assured there will be no surprises in my food. I peeked at the salad when it was brought out to me & to my surprise there was a balsamic drizzle on top. Balsamic on a Greek salad? I'm not a fan but I was in a rush & thought I could pick around the drizzle. Was again surprised that the Greek dressing also had balsamic. I have my own dressing at work so I didn't swap it out. The small restaurant is not the cleanest and there is no counter to place orders. I stood in the middle of the room and told the owner what I wanted. When I paid him I handed him cash while standing up in the middle of the dining room and he gave me change from his pocket. The entire situation was just so bizarre. He kindly told me to grab a drink from the refrigerated case. That kind gesture was appreciated. I have to give credit where credit is due. When I told him about the balsamic issue he immediately offered to make me a new salad. I declined because I had to get back to my office. As I started picking at my salad I quickly realized that it wasn't exactly fresh. The lettuce was turning brown and the feta cheese was quite sour. I gave him a call to let him know and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong because he just opened a new bag of lettuce and a new package of feta. He also said maybe it was just me because I don't care for balsamic. He offered me a full refund when I come back. That was very nice of him but I won't be back. I didn't like the food at all & it wasn't exactly the cleanest place in town. I didn't feel comfortable placing and paying for my order in the middle of the dining room & the fact he implied I was wrong just completely irritated me. This should be a two star review but I added the third because he tried to make it right and I didn't have time. And also I am giving him the benefit of the doubt because maybe the balsamic did put me off. I know people who love this place, maybe it's just me.

This is my parents favorite place but not mine The place feels dirty. The owner Frankie is really nice but he is all over the place We ordered food and a few dishes we ordered, he gave us something else and but we let it slide The bread soaked in olive oil with garlic was the best thing here The pizza could have been excellent but it was over ricotta cheesed! We had a white clam and bacon pizza but they used pancetta and ricotta. Still tasty but too much The chicken saltimbocca was not good. The sauce tasted like thick canned chicken soup mix Linguine and clams were ok We ordered shrimp with lemon sauce but they sent out snapped with lemon sauce. Good. But not what we wanted When we asked for the bill- he thought about and just said " give me 95 bucks". Unreal Nice guy. But needs to clean this place up

I gotta Talia, this place is the real deal. We are so in love with Talia's, we've come for dinner five times in the past few weeks. My husband says the pasta fagioli is the best he's ever had. He loves the risotto too, and has sampled several of them. My Mom's favorite dish is the eggplant parmigiana. My brother and sister-in-law loved the chicken dishes. Frankie is great. Makes us feel like family and his wife Olga is one great cook!

Hidden gem! Guys who work there are super awesome and kind. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants i've tried in South Florida!!! Penne a la vodka is DELICIOUS 10/10

This review is for Chef Baba's cooking class. He did an Italian cooking class at Tunies. A group of us went for the fun of cooking with an awesome chef. We had a great girls night out and cooked some amazing food and he shared some of his personal home made vino. . Definitely a great way to spend an evening. See the photos of some of the food we all made together. He is very well organized and makes cooking fun and he managed to get the whole group involved in making each step of the meal. I know this is not easy to do.

Turns out this establishment is owned by a fellow Brooklynite. I was sitting outside when these amazing crunchy looking heros came out for the next table. I had the best Greek salad that I've had in a very long time. It was huge. Lettuce banana peppers olives artichoke hearts onion delicious tomatoes feta cheese and a fantastic dressing. I also had a Margarita pizza. It was ok but that's Florida. Just can't get NY pizza anywhere !!!!!! Oh yea also crunchy tasty side of garlic bread with the salad.

I Enjoyed the price fix special available between 5-6 only starting with eggplant rollatini in a delicious marinara sauce followed by pappadelli in meat sauce which was fantastic with a lot of meat ; both dishes were good size portions. But the star of the dinner was the chocolate soufflé . It was perfectly served with fresh crème and garnished with a few berries. Melting chocolate but not too dense. I will be comparing any in the future to Tramonti's. We sat on the enclosed outdoor patio and enjoyed being outside without having people leering at our food. Service was brisk and attentive. The maître d' was welcoming and seated us promptly. It was pricy but definitely worth it.

At the end of our meal, my husband and I waved for nearly five minutes just trying to get someone to bring us the bill. The restaurant was not busy, so there was really no excuse. Our waitress seemed uninterested in being there and completely disappeared when we needed her most. Very disappointing experience overall. We will not be returning. Bread was too hard, rice balls bland and too much cheese. So many more options in Atlantic watch out Tramonti.

Happy hour runs from 3-6 PM and is possibly one of the best deals offered on the Ave. For drinks, I tried their version of an espresso martini, which was excellent, along with the strawberry martini that was sweet, refreshing, and easy to enjoy. For food, we ordered two pizzas: the La Vodka and the Margherita. Both were delicious, flavorful, and very filling. My only complaint was related to another group of customers rather than the restaurant itself. A couple meeting up with a friend brought an infant and stroller and attempted to sit directly at the bar. While they were trying to maneuver into the corner, I was repeatedly bumped and kicked in the back by the child. I completely understand people wanting to enjoy themselves, but if bringing children to a bar area, it's important to be mindful of the limited space, other guests around you and realize it's inappropriate to have minors at the bar.

Unfortunately, this is the third time we've experienced the same issue. When the Delray location is busy, our order appears to be sent from the Palm Beach location instead, resulting in significantly longer delivery times. On this occasion, our order took over an hour to arrive. Considering the premium prices they charge, we expect a higher level of service and better communication. Repeated delays like this are frustrating, especially for customers who have consistently supported the restaurant over the years. We enjoy the food, but the delivery experience has become increasingly disappointing.

The Classics: You cannot go wrong with the scratch-made pasta. The Short Rib Pappardelle is a standout, hearty choice. Small Plates & Unique Twists: The Steak Tartare is excellent, and the Eggplant Lasagna is a creative, delicious spin on a traditional Parmesan. And after this last visit, I will be passing on any future visits. We had a 6:30 pm reservation for 5 on a recent Saturday Night. That afternoon we asked if we can add one more person (so 6 in total) and were told we'd need to arrive at 6:15 pm. Logistically, that makes zero sense. The extra table seat wouldn't be a problem, and adding 15 minutes for the kitchen for 1 extra meal? But, ok. We arrived to a nearly empty restaurant at 6:15. We are catching up, looking at the menus and within 10 minutes the owner is hovering over us asking for our orders. We ask for another few minutes -- we hadn't even gotten our drinks. He tells us we have 2 hours so we have to hurry. Look, I live down the block from Le Sorrelle. I pass it night after night, and yes, it's has its nights where it is party central. People love to host family events there. But most of the time, this place is sorely wanting for business. And while perhaps Le Sorrelle did fill up after we left, there was plenty of seating when we did slip out, well in advance of our 2-hour limit. As for the food -- I can only speak to what I ordered. A Caesar salad and Pizza Margherita. Both were awful. And I'm really not just saying that because of the restaurant experience that night. I previously had pizza at Le Sorrelle (albeit, years ago now) and it was quite good. Perhaps the cheese pizza would have been. As for a good Caesar salad, run, don't walk to Segreto Italia. Actually, just go to Segreto Italia, because Chris, Joey and Chip will treat you like gold and you'll have an overall outstanding experience.

We chose the outdoor patio which is nice, but it sits right next to the train tracks. The trains seemed to be passing every 10-15 minutes and they were extremely loud, making conversation nearly impossible until they passed. It wasn't the restaurants fault, but it did make it hard to have a nice meal and catch up with family. Regardless, it was still better than dining inside which was unbearably loud. The penne with a hearty bolognese sauce, and the bread with olive oil and balsamic was incredible. The skirt steak and Caesar salad also looked delicious. A couple of small things: there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table, and my uncles water glass had a small crack, but it was quickly replaced by our server.
