There is a good smell of Kiwi because I like my boba fruity. They also threw in some jello bits which is a good addition to my drink. Normally I would have to pay extra for that stuff or go without it but the staff there was nice enough to add it. The lady who served me was very professional. Looks like the place must family owned. I frequent this place often and I really enjoy their milk tea lovers drink. When I first came here I was overwhelmed because of all the options but once I found my favorite drink there was no going back. I usually order the mango black milk tea lover. Their mango syrup is house made and it has a great flavor. I find with fruity drinks adjusting the sweetness level is fine because of the sweetness of the fruit. I think I've found my new favorite boba shop!! We happened to stumble in here Friday afternoon after eating at La Cueva and my dad wanted to get a quick hair cut at Happy Cuts. It's a cute little hidden boba shop. Apparently the first and only TaoTaoTea. They sell a bunch of different products including skincare, packaged snacks, and cute keychains(which they designed themselves!). My sister and I bought the blue astronaut bear and lollipop boba bear keychain. For the drinks, we ordered Kiwi Wonderland (100% sugar), I Belong to You (100% sugar), Cloudy Watermelon (75% sugar). The Kiwi drink was definitely my favorite! It is complimented well by the cheese foam, kiwi, and lychee jelly bits. I Belong to You was alright, low key tasted like a mooncake and not sure if I care for the mochi or taro as much. Cloudy Watermelon tasted fresh, but I probably would've liked it better if it was 100% sweetness. The ordering system is self service through the iPad in the front and corner. You can order both the drinks and merchandise on here. Service was fast as they made our drinks immediately. They were also very friendly and nice. I apparently selected the wrong keychain which was $12, but they let me take the $16 keychain anyway. After ordering, we attempted to play on the claw machine which had cute stuffed animals. There was boba, Pokémon, spiderman, and shiba plushies. We tried 6 times at a $1 each, but failed each time as the claw is one of those random strength ones. Came with family and ordered a Sexy Pink Lychee, White Peach Oolong Milk Tea, Beauty & the Beast, and Royal Milk Tea w Boba online. Service was excellent; went we went to pick up our drinks, the staff took time to hand us a punch card. The (large) White Peach Oolong Milk Tea came in a cup with a cute bear-eared lid. The tapioca pearls were chewy but not especially flavorful. The Osmanthus and Peach jellies come in large blocks (similar to most ai-yu) and were smooth and silky. The Royal Milk Tea was more milky and not as heavy on the tea taste. The White Peach Oolong Milk Tea came with some peach bits and was overall very fragrant. Often times, I find that fruit milk tea is a hit or miss because the acidity of the fruit can clash with the milk, but that was not the case here--the milk and the white peach oolong tea complemented each other well, and the fresh fruit bits were very tasty. My sister really enjoyed the Sexy Pink Lychee; she said the lychee flavor was very prominent in the tea, and the cheese foam wasn't as cheesy as at some other places. TaoTaoTea also features some interesting/unique toppings (such as White Peach Jelly, Osmanthus Jelly, Jasmine Tea Jelly, and Cherry Crystal Boba; we tried the first two of these during this visit). My husband got kiwi wonderland with kiwi and lychee in it (idk what else), which he loved and I agree was pretty good. Fun fact: pay cash for the kiwi wonderland this month, and it's only $5 (+tax). It is one of those places that charge different-than-normal ice levels. Interestingly, they didn't charge me for less ice but I think it's because my drink already has a lot of toppings in it. (Or was a typo??) Anyways, my husband's drink would have cost more for less ice so he just got "normal" which was fine because they also aren't one of those places that overdo ice in the first place based on how his drink came out. +1 star only because this is a small, non-chain store. Love seeing that. No wait on a weekend afternoon, on a hot day. The drink in question was the Royal Milk Tea w/ Boba. On first sip, the tea flavor was good, and the creamer used was also decent. Maybe a little watery. However, the boba was amongst the worst I've had - they don't seem to add honey or brown sugar to the boba, so they had nearly no flavor to them, just a faint tapioca taste. In addition, they were cooked unevenly - some were complete mush, absolutely obliterated, while others were so-so, overcooked but at least they didn't disintegrate in the mouth. Shop has fun decor, and offers a lot of bottle upgrades if you like different shapes and designs. However, the drink was particularly mediocre, leaning towards dismal, and I wouldn't return when this area has better options. I would suggest avoiding the boba here. read more

I know they're known for their fresh fruit drinks, so my friend ordered a grapefruit drink which I got to taste a sip of and it was super delicious and refreshing! I ordered the Tiger Boba Milk Tea which was truly the best brown sugar/tiger milk tea I've tried in the Bay Area. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess, and the boba also had the perfect amount of chewiness and softness. It was AMAZING and I would definitely recommend trying it! So good! Aside from the amazing drinks which I'll definitely be back to try more of, I really appreciated the service, which was truly outstanding. Everyone was very welcoming, kind, and genuinely caring. This place was honestly so cute and pleasant, but I think I unfortunately ordered the wrong drink for myself! Otherwise, I would have had a more enjoyable experience. For my sister, I ordered the peach oolong milk tea, which I had a sip of, and it was fragrant and refreshing with the perfect blend of milk and tea and peach chunks. It was in a convenient cup, too. For myself, I ordered the Peach Fairy, which was a kind of cream and peach syrupy drink. The first sip was good, but then it got too sweet for me. Even at half sweetness, it was overly sweet and I had to go home and dilute it with a lot of milk to make it taste slightly less sweeter. I'm not sure if the order was just made incorrectly without taking into account my half sweetness modification or if it's supposed to be a sweet drink like that. If I am ever here again, I would stick to the milk teas which seem like a better and more promising fit for me. The plushies and merch they had here were also so cute. I had higher expectations for this place. When you go in, there is a kiosk that you use to order your drink. It is quite entertaining - all of the tea names. For example: playboy Matcha, or sexy pink. Curious to know who named these drinks lol. I can see how the kiosk might create a bottleneck affect, especially since there's so many options to choose from. Personally, I would prefer to talk to a human about what kind of drink I should get, rather than scrolling through all the options. I ended up ordering the milk tea with the soy bean cheese foam, 25% sweet. I think next time I would even do 0%, because it was quite sweet! The cheese foam did not seem to really add to the flavor of the tea, but then again, it was my first time having soy bean cheese foam. While drinking that Boba drink, my throat hurt a little bit, so I'm not sure if it was because of the artificial sweetener? It went away after I finish the drink. To no surpise the Creme brulee tasted like the dessert with little bits of caramelized sugar at the bottom. I'm always trying to find new boba places in the area so when I found this on Yelp I was so excited to try! It's located in a small quiet plaza and there is typically plenty of parking available. It's a super cute store with pink walls so it would be a nice place to take pictures. They also have a pretty pink wall with a wing mural. They have a self ordering machine in the right corner when you walk in but you can also just order at the register. We ordered the Sexy Pink Lychee and the I Belong to You. Both drinks were pretty good! The Sexy Pink Lychee was a slushie with cheese foam at the top and crystal boba. The cheese foam was super good when mixed in with the drink. It was super refreshing and perfect for a hot day! The I Belong To You is Milk tea with boba and taro. It was really good and the taro was a great with the drink. Simple and delicious. They have some seating inside so you can sit while you wait for your drink or hang out with a friend. They also had some tables outside. My first time trying Tao Tao tea and it was great! I ordered online through their website and I really appreciated how each drink had a picture and description so it helped with choosing a drink. I also like how they include their top drinks to help narrow down my choices. I ended up getting the tiger boba milk tea, 50% sugar, less ice, brown sugar boba, and I really liked it! It was a little sweet at first but I think it's because I didn't mix it fully, but as I continued to drink it the sweetness wasn't as overwhelming, so 50% was a good choice for me! I had heard great things about the fruit teas so I had to try. They also have a super cute wing wall for pictures. I'm not sure how he knew I wanted it 25% sweet because he didn't ask and when they came out I went shoot I didn't adjust the sweetness. BUT he said don't worry I did 25% and it was PERFECT! So here's what I got. I belong to you (boba milk tea with taro and mochi) A top pick in our house! I thought the kids would love the fruit ones better but they all liked this one! The taro is a paste and was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet or chunky and just right. Also the mochi was amazing! It was chewy but more like a pillowy cloud. I should've mixed it around more before drinking because at the end I felt like only the boba milk tea was left and it felt a little boring after all the goodness I had until then!! I admit I was happy then sad when I realized I got a big mochi chunk in a sip but that I had taken most of it in one big sip. What a passion (passion fruit and watermelon) with peach jelly Fresh watermelon and a passion fruit with tea. It was actually a surprising combo for me and while at first I was a little uncertain, I grew to love it! I love that all fruits are fresh and there are no artificial syrups or powders used! I'm all for natural!! I had to try the peach jelly because it was unique and not offered elsewhere. It was a subtle peachy ness and quite delightful! There are crunches from the various seeds of the fresh fruit so if that's not your thing, be aware. I liked the surprise crunch, jelly chew, watermelon bits, and fruit drink! I only intended to get two but got another as an extra because I am a sucker for rose teas and forgot I wanted that one : Rose Blossom (rose jam tea) They use a rose JAM from roses in their garden. You see the petals and the bud which is lovely! Well, I guess it depends who you ask because my kid loves the flavor but not the petals. I enjoyed it! Next time I'd add a boba or jelly or something to also chew. The citrus is a great addition! A few minor things i think you should keep in mind: The parking is small and exits to a one way so choose parking accordingly. One of my favorite tea spots lately. WHY? It's one of the only places where I don't have to worry about consuming dairy. All their drinks are dairy free. Staff is so friendly! They even complimented my hair lol You order via a machine and wait for them to call your number. I love that they offer soybean cheese foam. Something new and it's delicious! The very kind owner told me it was black tea, but that they also had 大红袍, my FAVORITE tea. I've never found another boba spot that made 大红袍 milk tea. TaoTaoTea totally delivered. As other reviewers have said, it's quite pricey, but it is absolutely worth it. I wish I took some pictures of the interior because it is just so cute and atmospheric. The owners are lovely and full of hospitality as well. It's clear how much they love their craft and how much they want to make their customers happy. The What A 'Passion drink is phenomenal, perfectly balanced between watermelon and passion fruit. If you like milk tea, the Oreo Brûlée Milk Tea is delicious and creamy without being too sweet, like you'd expect it to be. The Super Grapefruit is one of the best grapefruit drinks I've ever had, not bitter at all and very refreshing. Right away, I noticed there was many fruit teas that looked really refreshing, but I'm more of a milk tea drinker so I order their popular milk tea with soybean foam. Since they're soft opening for now, I hope they come out with more milk teas later! :) I first took a sip of the foam, it was heavenly! It's definitely one of those type of foam that I didn't taste anywhere else in the area. The milk tea itself wasn't that sweet and strong in tea flavor which I love and you can definitely taste the soy which compliments the whole drink. My only complaint is that this place is too far from my house for me to drive lol but regardless do check it out if you're in the area! I'll definitely come back when I get the chance :) read more

Such a cute shop! It's tucked away in a plaza near Westgate. It's quite far from where I live, but it's always worth a visit whenever I'm in the area! Not many shops carry Soybean Cremas, but I really adore it. Tea Hut in San Francisco carries it, but that's quite a drive from SJ! TaoTao Tea's soybean crema definitely holds up. The top is nice and creamy, and there's also a nutty powder they add on top which complements the drink really well. The black tea on the bottom is great. It takes like what you'd expect. Also, the furnishing is super cute! The bear chairs are adorable. read more

Checked out this boba tea shop since I was in the area. I usually compare shops to default ones such as TP Tea for prices and quality. I ordered a Soybean cheese top + Milk Tea. It was really good, so I'd recommend it if willing to try. My main reason for giving this 3/5 are prices and the surcharges. So it's about $5.25 (as of 6/2022) just for a small milk tea. If you want adjustments such as less ice, they will surcharge you. I mean -- it's already pushing a price for a small milk tea, and then there is additional fees for add one. If they were to fix this business model, then maybe I'll come back. But there are pretty good shops in Cupertino, so the drive here isn't worth it to me for the price they are offering. read more

Got the matcha and the milk tea while I was in plaza getting a hair cut. I was just here in December and they weren't here. I ordered at the kiosk and paid. Got a text with many different status alerts. Waited about 5 minutes and my drinks were ready. Delicious. The boba itself was a bit well done and on the softer side but otherwise good. Would return when come back for my next hair appt but probably won't go out of the way to come here. read more
