The small enclosed smoking zone that is Tap-A Gastro Pub.
    Christopher H.

Summary: *This is an enclosed smoking area!* Overview: While Google and Yelp searches bring up delightful pictures of this establishment's big-brother location in the city of Atlanta, complete with intriguing fusion dishes and good beer, there's nothing that mentions this is an enclosed smoking stop with a few beers on tap. After walking the entire length of the A Terminal to get here, we were extremely disappointed. My personal opinion as someone who studies the global gastronomic experience, it's not only a sucker punch but poor taste to put the word "Gastro" in your title when "Plexiglass Smoking Zone" is what you really should be branding it as. Disclaimer: I did not order any food or drink from here. And I don't smoke. This review merely points out the failure of both Hartfeild-Jackson International Airport and search results to specify this as a smoking environment. If you smoke with your pub food and beer, knock yourself out; it's probably a welcome stop for you.

Very small, quaint old school pub at the end of concourse A - the atmosphere really makes you forget you're at an airport. Simple menu, good music ('80s), good beer, and good food at reasonable prices (especially for an airport) - perfect place to stop for a bite and a beer during a layover. Aundrea was a lively and polite bartender who provided great service and conversation with all of the patrons. Definitely recommend stopping by.

I was thoroughly disappointed with this bar and I am a huge dive bar connoisseur. Having to travel for work I have stopped at many bars and by far this was one of the most disrespectful places I have been to. I will give it one thing, I get it... we want a bar atmosphere where people are off their phones and interacting with other guests... Buttttt... also take into consideration you are a bar at an airport and it was a Friday... I had been gone from my bf for the week and happened to be with our mutual roommate so we FaceTimed him to say hi from the bar after a long week... Right away the bartender (I believe her name was Rachel) started yelling "You should snap my sign! Get a video of my sign!".. I thought she was being funny so I did pan the phone to look and to my surprise it was a sign that stated "limited cell phone use FaceTime/speaker" and right away I felt bad and sorry and turned my phone off on my bf... but it didn't stop there... she continued to go on a huge rant with everyone seated at the bar explaining the importance as to why you don't FaceTime or talk on the phone at the bar... which again, I get.. but it was just a bit "above and beyond"... I get you made it clear what the rules were I obliged and yet you still had to put on a show?.. anyways I ordered a second drink and asked what the wells/house vodka was and the other lady bartender told me it was Tito's so I ordered another Tito's vodka soda tall... my tab ended up being 27 something for 2 drinks... The way it was displayed on the bill was Tito's- 10.50 Rocks- 2.00... Riddle me this... was my drink 12.50 for ordering a tall?!? Do they charge 2 more dollars for friggin ice?! When I asked... and I asked nicely just because I was honestly curious as to why it said Rocks- 2.00... The blonde (possibly Rachel) in a condescending attitude said it's because we pour an ounce and a quarter.. which I responded with "ok I just wasn't sure.. I've just never seen anything like this where it lists the drink and 2 more dollars for the rocks?"... I ended up paying 30 dollars for 2 wells vodka soda single talls... Huge disappointment

If you need a smoke and a craft beer while in terminal A skip Gordon Birsch and head to tap by gate A3. Addie is the best bar tender in ATL!

My friends and I had a great time and loved our quirky and knowledgeable server. It's clear that the beer list is expertly crafted, and the cocktails are balanced without being too sweet. I had the grapefruit rosemary margarita while one of my friends tried the special open cask offering. Now, lets get into the food...specifically the FRIES. The apps and entrees we ordered were so good, yet nothing holds a candle to those super crispy fries and the Belgian aioli that comes alongside. Literally, everything was good (shoutout to the beef tartare, goat cheese fritters, tuna melt, smash burger, and crispy chicken sandwich) but I doubled back to get an extra order of fries to go. They are that good. Great experience!

The next time in 2024 when I was in the area, they were closed for a remodel. Today was the day. The beer selection was fantastic and so was the food. I got the pork sandwich with greens on top. It was delicious, but it could've not had juices leaking so much? Maybe cheese below and above the meat to try to keep some of the juices off the bun or maybe more bun toasting? The fries were amazing and I should've gotten the aolie initially, but didn't get it until I saw another table with an order. It was delicious. The service was very good. The server had good knowledge of the beers, food, and was friendly. This is one of the best beer bars in the US. The Atlanta area is fortunate to have two killer beer bars, the other being the Brick Store Pub in Decatur.

Holeman and Finch is known for its burger, and deservedly so, but I can't stress enough how good the other food and drink are here. Looking at the current list of Atlanta restaurants in the Michelin Guide, I think Holeman and Finch deserves to be included. I wonder why they got snubbed. Holeman and Finch relocated to Colony Square in Midtown in February 2023. The restaurant validates parking in the Colony Square garage for two hours. We stayed just over two hours and ended up paying $6. I like to enter and exit the garage via Peachtree St NE. There's also an entrance/exit on 14th St NE, next to The Starling hotel. We used to go to the original location in Brookwood/South Buckhead circa 2010 when only 24 burgers were made per night and released at 10pm. Holeman and Finch existed in that location from 2008 to 2020. It was quite the Yelp hot spot: https://www.yelp.com/biz/holeman-and-finch-atlanta-2 This new location at Colony Square is way more spacious and looks great. There's indoor and outdoor (covered and uncovered) seating. The atmosphere is that of a modern, upscale pub. It's nice. Reservations can be booked on OpenTable, so get those dining points. Our server said the brunch menu was served until 4pm. Here's what my wife and I had: Drinks: * H&F Bloody Mary ($14) * Iced Tea - half sweet, half unsweet ($5) Graze: * Naturally Served Oysters ($5 each) - cocktail sauce, mignonette, buttered saltines, horseradish - Lowcountry Cups - Charleston, SC - Dukes of Topsail - Topsail Sound, NC - Dixon Point - New Brunswick, Canada * Deviled Egg Trio ($9) - classic, country ham, and Pickapeppa mayo * Hand Chopped Sirloin Steak Tartare ($20) - capers, horseradish, egg yolk, chips * Simple Lettuces ($15) - citrus vinaigrette, crisp shallots, fromage blanc, pecans Sandwiches: * H+F Cheeseburger ($28) - certified Angus and Hereford beef, onions, Kraft, fries Plates: * Housemade Scottish Gravlax ($18) - toasted brioche, fried Pantelleria capers, lemon dill clabber * Holeman + Finch Vegetable Plate ($32) - "all that is best from our Southern farms" Dessert: * Sticky Toffee Pudding ($14) - vanilla ice cream Everything, down to the sweet tea, was fantastic. The Bloody Mary was strong and so delicious that I gulped it down. All of the dishes were beautifully plated and finished. The oysters were fresh, superb quality, and cleanly shucked. They forgot the crackers, but that's okay. I highly recommend the deviled eggs. They were perhaps the best we've ever had anywhere. If you're unfamiliar with Pickapeppa, it's a sweet and savory Jamaican brown sauce that is used to make the mayo for this dish. There was nothing "simple" about the Simple Lettuces salad. It was pretty much a perfect, tasty, and refreshing salad. As for the H+F Cheeseburger, it's a classic and continues to be one of the best burgers around. Every bite is just so good, and the ketchup and mustard remain distinct. If you've never had the burger before, get it here or at H&F Burger at Ponce City Market. The Truist Park version isn't the same and I've never tried the Mercedes-Benz Stadium version (the old Turner Field version was legit, though). If you like gravlax, wow - the gravlax here is amazing and really well made. The Vegetable Plate was terrific as well. It featured potatoes, okra, beans, succotash, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and more with a fried onion ring on top. It's a great dish to share. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was top-notch - exceptional texture and flavor, and perfectly paired with a scoop of dense vanilla ice cream. Our server was Jonathan R. He was friendly and took great care of us. A manager checked on us too.

I usually drench everything in sauce, but this meal honestly didn't need it. I also ordered a sweet tea nothing fancy, just a classic sweet tea that hit the spot. My waitress was lovely, and I really enjoyed spending a relaxing afternoon here. My only complaint is the price. While the food was good, I'm not sure the meal was worth the $28 price tag. Other than that, I had a great experience and would definitely consider coming back.

Got a text back saying they don't take reservations, it's first come, first serve, but they would do what they could to accomodate us. 4 of us were seated and we had 2 more coming before we wanted to order. The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes). As time got closer to the festival to start, it did get crowded, but the staff handled the influx of people and people were seated relatively quickly. This was a nice destination as most of the group live a drive from Decatur. Lovely afternoon visit!
