I was so happy to see that this location is open 24/7, so I took full advantage of it, by going to the drive-thru very early one morning. Nothing quenches the late night munchies than really good Mexican food. There were a fair amount of folks at the drive-thru, but the line moved quickly, service was friendly and fast. My son and I ordered 2 Carne Asada Tacos, 2 Carnitas Tacos, 1 Carnitas Burrito and a Pollo Burrito. The tacos were really good, had very good flavor and had a nice hint of heat. The burritos were fat and filled with a lot of ingredients. The Carnitas and Pollo were both delicious, tender and tasted so good. Also, everything tasted fresh. This might have been the best Carnitas I've had. Prices were really reasonable and the menu offered all the typical items of a taqueria. I have this bookmarked and am looking forward to going back to enjoy more items off their menu. read more

If I had to use two words to describe this place it would be consistent and CLEAN. I love that I can expect to walk in here and get consistently good food. The meat is always flavorful! It's the perfect place to swing by for a quick convenient meal, and it always delivers on flavor. The gentlemen working here are always working hard to keep the inside spotless clean too. I ordered a quesadilla de cabeza for myself and a cheese quesadilla for my son through the drive thru. Got home about 30 minutes later after picking my son up and getting drinks at 7-11 when I realized they had only given me my quesadilla and my son's was missing so I called to let them know. The guy on the phone "Lalo" insisted so many times that he gave it to me even though I'm telling him I don't have it. I asked if he thinks I'm lying and he said no, but that it seems like I'm calling him a liar too. I told him I don't think that at all, I just think that maybe they accidentally gave it to someone else or put it in a different bag and only gave me one and he said that he didn't. He said "idk, but I know I gave it to you so idk what u did with it." Rude af. It's completely possible that he accidentally gave my order to someone else. What is NOT possible is for the quesadilla to grow legs and walk out of my car on my way home. I got frustrated because the last thing I was going to do today was feed my son and put him to sleep. I don't have time to prepare anything for him anymore and I can't give him mine because he doesn't like cabeza, so now all he has time to eat is cereal. Lalo told me that if I want a refund, to call corporate. I didn't want a refund, just an effing apology, but I didn't even get that. To top it off, my quesadilla was in desperate need of salt, but they didn't give me any salt packets and it had a tiny piece of aluminum paper in it. A major strike out on todays visit I ordered around 1 pm, it was very slow, 1 car in the drive through and no more than 2 in the whole lot. Simple order: an al pastor burrito no onions and 4 carne asada tacos no onions. I received my order, but didn't check it until I pulled out of the driveway. I was missing my burrito. Went back and the cashier told the person in charge of the orders that they missed my burrito. I returned my bag as well as the order slip. The cashier was nice and gave me a drink to make up for the inconvenience. I dropped the food off to my boyfriend only to find out that the burrito was made incorrectly. Horrible customer service. I ordered via doordash and my two chips and guac were not included. I paid 4 dollars for both chips and guac. When the food arrived, the guac was not included. I called and was rudely answered. I tried asking where my guac was and the person who answered said "Oh" and proceeded to hang up. I then called 10 more times, for a total of 11 calls. They are unprofessional and not about the customers at all. They abruptly closed the door around 10:30pm even though there were people waiting to get in. And they saw people waiting outside and continued to ignore everyone and not even inform them they closed. The sign right up front says open 24 hours. When someone tried getting in through the side, the manager Enrique came to close the door on everyone's faces without so much of an explanation. After an intense spin class, we decided we needed tacos to celebrate both Taco Tuesday and Cinco De Mayo. Mexican food is always a top choice after a sweat session, right? Tacos are $1.45 each and we both got four. I got two asada and two chicken and they pack the meat into the small, double stacked tortillas before garnishing them with your choice of green or red sauce, cilantro and onions. Be warned, the green is super spicy and my nose was running pretty profusely after two. The red was definitely the mild of the choices... just in case you weren't good with spice. Not only are they cheap, they're really good, too! The restaurant also offers burritos and quesadillas which seemed to be popular. They were both stuffed like the tacos and looked like they required a lot of napkins and two hands to eat. Probably a good idea to come in with a huge appetite if you want to take one of those one. I know I will on my next visit. I didn't know there was a 24hr Taqueria De Anda in Fullerton and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't packed on this day of celebration. I was wrong. As soon as we sat down to grub on our bounty of food, a huge line began to form as the crowds began to get hungry before a night of drinking. They also offer drive-thru service if you don't want to get out of you car. For less than $14, we ate a good amount of tacos and enjoyed some lemon water (don't know the translation is) that tasted like a sweet lemonade. I really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and the lines moved quick. Going here on Craig F.'s invite! Had a good time hanging out with Minerva T. and Craig F. So we went to the Fullerton location. First off the parking lot is a bit cramped and their drive through line seemed packed, which is a good sign. The ordering area reminds me of Chipotle where you order and see the guys prepping your food right in front of you as you move down the line. It's nice to see your food being prepared right in front of you. Craig suggested the all meat burrito with carne asada as the meat. So this version of burrito doesn't have the rice or beans... just meat and its seasoning. You can see the pics I uploaded to see what I mean. It's a massive burrito of just MEAT. And for their carne asada meat I was impressed. Not ground beef but actual steak chopped and diced. You could definitely taste the high quality on the first bite. Then you pour a little of their green salsa sauce plus some baby limes. This just added a nice citrus-y heat to the already delicious burrito. Where was this burrito during my college years?!? I could definitely see this as a victory party meal or a hang-over recovery meal. For me personally, I'm fine with this being breakfast, lunch and dinner... I'm flexible. We also go 3 tacos: beef steak (carne asada), BBQ pork (alpastor) and beef tongue (lengua). All 3 were very good in their own right but honestly the all meat burrito had most of my attention. I would recommend you guys to try it out. Bring a friend to split it in half if you don't think you could finish it all. Also got to try the tamarindo drink which was pleasant. Hole in the wall? Yes. Pretty good? Yes. Authentic? Yes. A lot of folks come down here from Downtown Fullerton after a night of partying and drinking. They seek the soul of authentic Mexican food here, and it does not seek to disappoint in filling your belly with meat, tortillas, and the Mexican staples comparable to Tito's Taco's, King Taco, and Albertaco's. Here you can find homemade, from scratch, tortillas. That is the big plus. You will feel special after finding this hidden place, and it also seems to provide a good way to get out of DTF if you're avoiding the masses going down Harbor Boulevard. I think if you're looking for that late night drop by after hitting up DTF, or some down to earth Mexican food, then this place will hit the spot. I recommend the carne asada or chicken tacos. Also the horchata is super sweet, perhaps too sweet for some to have. Another warning is to avoid the hot sauce if you can't handle some super burn-your-mouth goodness. Nothing beats the greasy goodness at 3 am after a DTF bar hop. Lengua: good unless it get cold and then its just really chewy. Carne Asada: so greasy my tortilla turned orange but damn good. Was looking forward to eating here for a while, and was finally in the neighborhood to do so. I really enjoyed the three tacos I ordered, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Carnitas. But that experience was ruined by my facing the kitchen and watching a couple employees prepare the food. Although the person putting together the tacos, etc, was very entertaining with how he flipped up the small ladle full of chili sauce in the air and caught it in the tacos, he used his gloved hands later to open and get things out from a small refrigerator and also touched other dirty surfaces--without changing gloves when he went back to putting together food orders. I also noticed a similar lapse by another employee who switched from doing food prep to emptying the garbage to refilling an empty salsa container without cleaning his hands in between tasks. I want my food to be tasty, and to be prepared in a clean and sanitary fashion so I don't get sick or otherwise unnecessarily risk my health. I take no solace from the OC Health Department passing grade posted at the entrance, and wish they provided a letter grade and more information for customers--and that they and other health agencies made their visits unannounced. read more

The moment I walk in to Anda my first impressions are dim lighting, uncleared tables, loud Ranchero music and a strong stale meat smell. This could only mean one thing - AUTHENTICITY. I am in for a taco treat. I was a bit confused with the stainless steel crowd control bars at first - am I ordering tacos or getting on a ride? It does create a highly efficient ordering system. The moment you tell the guy what you want, he takes the tortilla, puts it into the meat pile, scoops out a huge wad, then cilantro, then onions, then salsa - SLAP, SLAP, SLAP - all in three quick motions. They made all 6 of my tacos just a little bit faster than the time it takes me to have sex - 23 seconds - pretty impressive (the tacos, not the sex). The tacos here are simple - meat, cilantro, onions, salsa (red or green). Your basic taco need no more than this. The flavor of the meat itself should thus come through only accentuated by the salsa. They use the smaller tortillas, but pack it with meat. The carne asada is chopped to a fine consistency. Al pastor is tender and flavorful marked by the characteristic smoky sweetness. Carnitas are tender and go well with the salsa verde. They do not have a salsa bar like some of the other taquerias, but make up for it by having these nicely roasted whole peppers than you can ask for as well as extra salsa on the side. Get the pura carne burrito if you need a meat fix. It gets pretty crowded late at night and they are not in any rush to clear and wipe the tables. There's none of the foo foo stuff you find at "Ameri-Mexican" restaurants these days. It's as simple as street tacos and burritos. Period. You throw some carne, alpastor, chicken, carnitas, lengua or cabeza and a few other ingredients (beans, rice, cilantro and onions) into your burrito or tacos, order a drink to go with it and then take a seat and enjoy some good ol' Mexican food. Tacos were $1.00 then and $1.25 now but they're just as good, if not better than it was 16-17 yrs ago. The Mexican Magic is alive and well! Always have been a huge fan of real Mexican tacos. Give me a place to eat them when I can listen to Norteno music, fresh meat (the real meat, not 19 year old girls), fast prep, and a good staff, and I'm sold. I've been going to the Anaheim location off of Broadway and Magnolia since I was in High School, and the Orange location for as long as I can remember as well... but the Fullerton one off of Valencia was excellent last night. We walked in at about 2:30am and the place was jumping with every kind of partygoer you could imagine. Well, not every, but a bunch of kind ones. Everyone grubbing, minding their own business, laughing away and digging on the good foods. Favorites: Lengua Tacos (tongue) cannot be beat. Carne Asada (of course) and last night I also had the stomach ones (forgot what they are called) It was all DELICIOUS. and the place was a sit down joint, no tips necessary, with a full staff, restroom (to remove excess beer and whiskey), and was very clean. While back in the day, this corner was a hotspot for two of Fullerton's most notorious street gangs, today, the place is a haven for young college kids, happy foodies, and drinkers who need a good taco or ten in their tummy before they go on home. There isn't really anything special about it; it's your usual street taco: tortilla, meat, onion-cilantro, and sauce. The use the salsa verde (green), but have the red hot sauce if you ask for it. Also, they have the tiny key limes instead of the big limes. Usually I get taken to taco joints that use lower quality, fatty meat to get the extra flavor (which is cool), but I just prefer a less greasy and less sinewy meat.
