Every time i visit Tatte, i like it a little more. Lots of seating spaces, it's packed during lunch times due to offices nearby. I have had many meals here. This time i got a cappuccino with oat milk and a GF avocado tartine. The quality, quantity, taste are all top notch. Love it! read more

I was in town for work and was staying at the nearby Marriott hotel. This Tatte was literally a 5 minute walk, so I ended up grabbing a quick breakfast here every morning. The first morning, we did a grab and go. The next two mornings, we dined in. Things that I ended up having: - Smoked Salmon, Avocado, and Egg sandwich - Haloumi Sunny-side Breakfast Sandwich - Croque Madame The smoked salmon sandwich was my favorite out of the three items that I tried. I had an iced coffee and an oat latte on two separate occasions and would recommend the coffee. Service was always nice at the counter and we always got our food very quickly. read more

Came here for lunch on a work trip. Since it was about 1230, the place was packed with customers. Even though the line was pretty long, the wait to order was quick, and the wait to get your food was even quicker. I ordered the BALT which was good. The one down fall was that the bread was getting soggy and eventually started falling apart because of the tomato juice. I also ordered the hazelnut praline latte, which i highly recommend! Absolutely in love with Tatte. I came in here on the way to my first day of my new job in the Riverside building and have kept coming back ever since. Over 3 weeks I've tried a pistachio croissant, a plain croissant, a Nutella shortbread cookie, a pear tart, a soy cappuccino, a petit almond nut box, an apricot pistachio croissant, and a plum croissant. Everything was absolutely fantastic. I am just so impressed by the high quality of EVERYTHING. While the bakery is definitely pricey, I would say that Tatte is one of those few places where you really do get what you pay for in quality. Something to note though is that after 3 or 4 o'clock in the afternoon, they have a $2 sale on what is left in the clear shelf to the left when you first walk in. The newest Tatte location is my favorite. Food and desserts are as fabulous and slightly overpriced as the other locations, but it's atmosphere is quieter and brighter than others. They're also going to offer baking classes there soon, which sounds like fun. The service is great. Whenever I call the 3rd St location, it's always too loud and somehow the person on the other end of the line is surprised to hear that I'd like to call in an order and even more surprised that he/she can't hear me clearly over the music and overcrowded dining area. Everyone at Main St is courteous, calling ahead is as effortless as it should be (as long as you call before noon or after 1, which is I think a new policy for them), and I never have to wait too long for my order. Most of this is likely because it opened so recently, but this will definitely be my location of choice from now on regardless. read more

Popular cafe for breakfast, lunch, and meetings for students and workers in the neighborhood. It can be a bit of a wait during eating "rush hour" but the line moves super fast. They use the freshest products and I always leave full but light and satisfied. For breakfast, I love the muesli, croissant sandwich, avocado tartine, and freshly squeezed orange juice. For lunch, my go-to is turkey with avocado sandwich. I've also done massive to-go orders before and they make it super ready - call in a few hours beforehand with the exact order and credit card info, and they'll have the bag ready for you with all the food labeled when you arrive. The only negative I can think of is that this Tatte seems to be much busier than the one further in Cambridge and Beacon Hill. It's not a place to get work done because it's so busy and noisy. read more

So I had the pleasure of attending a baby shower at this Tatte location a couple years ago. The space, food and service were so great that I kept it in the back of my mind for a potential space for a future celebration. Cut to my very best friend getting engaged and as matron of honor, having the responsibility (and honor!) of throwing her a bridal shower. I knew it had to be at Tatte. I got in touch with Nicole, events coordinator extraordinaire - who talked me through pricing for the space, menu and beverages. I locked down the space 6 months in advance (I was excited, what can I say?) and a few weeks before the shower, Nicole got back in touch to make all the final decisions. We talked through every single little detail from decorations to playlist, and finalized the food and drink menu. She made some thoughtful suggestions about that really helped round out the menu. The entire process was an absolute breeze. On the very rainy day of, I brought the cake and decorations 45 minutes before the shower. Nicole and the GM, Alyssa were both there to facilitate to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Suffice it to say that, excluding the weather, everything was as perfect as could be. The food, the drinks, the service were all impeccable. Alyssa was readily available to ensure that everything went smoothly, from starting my playlist before the guests arrived to clearing the lunch items for cake and dessert, through clean up. The look of disdain and disgust on his face along with his comment were very rude. I started following Tatte on IG and couldn't wait to try their goods! I came pretty late on a Friday - and apparently they only have food during lunch time. Luckily, the worker found a chicken sandwich that was from earlier in the day and heated it up for me. That's what I called service! I've been to Tatte's other nearby location on the weekends and recently went to this location (one of four locations) for the first time. This location is smaller so a slightly different vibe but has a similar (if not exactly the same) menu. Like the other Tatte, this is a trendy and pricey cafe with absolutely delicious desserts/pastries and solid food. Again - pricey. This location is only open on weekdays (7am-7pm) so caters to professionals working nearby. I recently went here for a cappuccino and their free wifi to study for a few hours in the morning on a weekday. With high top seats by the windows it's a great people watching place and was easy to grab a seat in between peak hours. read more

Absolutely, unequivocally one of my favorite spots in Cambridge. Their bakery is astounding. We ordered a raspberry cheesecake from them for a recent office party and it was to die for - absolutely the best cheesecake I've had in ages (granted, I don't eat a lot of cheesecake). There's one serious downside to this place (at least, to their 101 Main St location). As far as I'm concerned, the brunch menu is their major draw: they've got a spectacular shakshuka, and the poached eggs come on top of a tasty, crusty bread. But the problem is that they only serve the brunch until about 11, and the (somewhat unfriendly, to be honest) staff will very emphatically inform you that brunch is done if you ask for it even a minute past 11. This timing isn't printed on their menu or on their website anywhere, so confusion is natural. As is occasional disappointment. That said, I've had their hummus sampler and it was, again, insanely good. The hummus was of course tasty, but the three other sauces were actually even better. There was one that I think was pimento cheese - honestly, even thinking about it now is making my mouth water. Seriously, go to this place whenever you can. It's THAT GOOD. Although they have limited in-restaurant seating, I've always managed to snag a spot. read more

I came here for the first time today after wanting to come here for the past years. My experience was just A-OK, hence the three stars. Maybe it was because of the things I ordered that weren't really up to par, but I had high expectations. I ordered a matcha latte, hazelnut and fig tart, and a panini with prosciutto, fig jam, and Brie. I was the most excited for the latte. To my disappointment, it did not have the pretty latte art that I looked forward to. The latte itself was boring and even with sugar, it was just okay. The hazelnut fig tart was okay. I wished I asked them to heat it up before eating it because it just tasted cold. The panini was a bit of a let down. I only chose that because I love to choose those three components when it comes to charcuterie boards. Nothing really stood out to me. However, that won't stop me from coming here because I want to try a lot of things before I really decide on whether I like this or not. read more

Salads are prices $2-3 too high. I'd pay more money for them if I knew that they would consistently have all of the ingredients advertised. Well, they don't. I paid $13 for a Chicken and Mushroom salad that didn't have mushrooms. I paid $14 for a Green and Nutty salad that didn't have goat cheese. You've got to be kidding me. Size of protein/cheese on salads is also woefully inconsistent. If you go here, check that your food is as advertised before you leave because you can't trust that the output will be complete. Best case, you'll get a good meal and still wish you had a few extra bucks in your pocket. I had high hopes for Tatte, but your dollar goes farther elsewhere in the neighborhood. read more

I love Tatte! I ordered a matcha latte, which was good, and I appreciated that there was no syrup in it. I've also tried the cinnamon pecan roll at a different Tatte Bakery location, which was really good, and I'd love to try the other pastries next time. The pastries are a little on the expensive side (for a college student). The staff are friendly. This location was smaller and had less seating than the crowded one in Harvard, but when I went on Friday afternoon, there were plenty of seats. I'd go there again! read more

A very convincing reproduction of a French bakery. They really captured the essence of Paris with staff that ignores you and then gets mad for having to wait on you. The sandwiches are delicious but very pricey and tiny. The prosciutto and fig sandwich is like a cigar. At least it doesn't get super crowded during the lunch rush. read more
