Stopped by for Sunday lunch for the first time, and I was impressed by the beautiful setup and welcoming ambiance. It does get pretty busy on weekends, so I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We ordered the moussaka, spanakopita, and chicken breast souvlaki--everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be coming back, maybe for dinner or even a special celebration!

Came here after a day at the Getty Museum. Since we were tired and hungry...instead of waiting 20 min for a table..we opted for the bar. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Though the original bartender who served us wasn't all that attentive..took a long time to order and get things going...and getting our bill etc...the next bartender who came on was amazing... unfortunately we were leaving at this point... Food came promptly after placing our order. I got the chicken Shish kabob plate. The chicken was moist and the potato was really flavorful. The rice was also really good. We also had the olive /feta appetizer (really nice variety of olives w a light citrus oil), the hummus was creamy and good. The pita seemed like it was made in house-sooo fluffy and good. The house dip was a n out of the ordinary treat and ten sourdough bread was really fresh and delicious . (Comes if you get an entree)

My wife and had seen a reel on IG about this place and since we are only 30 min away we new we HAD TO COME CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. We are so happy that we did. You will find Taverna Tony in Malibu near PCH 1. Beautiful restaurant with seating available indoor and outdoor. We had made reservations so we were seated immediately at the bar since we weee there for their happy hour. (Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6). The happy hour is actually a very good one with great deals. We orderd the chopped salad, meze plate, and the calamari along with a draft beer and a glass of wine for $80 bucks. That's a great deal in Malibu considering the portions of food too. We absulotely loved the house dip and bread that came complimentary. Honestly that was the best dip of the house in our opinion. The meze plate was ok, however the pita was incredible. Chopped salad was very good and the calamari was incredible. We really did enjoy our meal and we will definitely come back again. Overall if your in the area, make sure to check them out. You defenitly won't regret it. Till next time.

I first came here with my boyfriend about a year ago; and was so blown away that I had to drive another 2+ hours for another visit! First off, the interior / exterior of the entire restaurant is GORGEOUS. It actually feels like I'm in Greece or something lol. I recommend outdoor seating! The service is pretty friendly and quick, overall had pleasant experiences both times with the staff. The food is what steals the show- especially the free bread and garlic dip appetizer. I've seriously never had garlic dip that bomb in my life. The calamari & chopped salad was also so fresh and high quality. The entrees that we got, steak skewers and the lasagna, was honestly just okay (steak was a bit overcooked and dry) and a bit pricey but the other food made up for it 100%. Overall I love this unique restaurant!

Food is fresh, vibes are great and the staff is friendly. Well ran business. If you're in the mood for great Mediterranean cuisine, this is the place you go to.

I had been wanting to try Taverna Tony ever since I moved out to L.A. My husband and I were in Malibu recently, and I finally had the opportunity to dine here. I was so excited, and the whole experience did not disappoint. For starters, the restaurant is so beautiful! The Greek Mediterranean decor is stunning, and the outdoor patio is such a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Our server was very kind and helpful, and he suggested that we try some of the most popular dishes on the menu. We started with the Famous House Dip (an absolute MUST) and homemade bread (the most perfect bread ever), then we shared the Grilled Octopus, Pastichio (a Greek lasagna), and Spanakopita (feta and spinach baked in a light pastry). Everything was incredible!!! We didn't have room for dessert, but definitely want to try the baklava and tiramisu next time. We already have plans to dine here again this month, and I'm looking forward to tasting some other items on the menu. Tip: Be sure to make a reservation, as this place is very popular, even during the afternoon.

Had an amazing time at Taverna Tony a couple of weeks ago for my girlfriends graduation dinner. My girlfriend originally called in advance for the reservation weeks in advance and when we arrived we came later than the reservation. Shout out to the hostess for honoring a late window to us to arrive. When walking in I was blown away by the modern aesthetic and large tables for group dining. They also have a large outside patio. Starting off we ordered their Greek Salad, I think we got the Horiatiki and it was basically a greek salad but without the salad. The server said it's the Greek way to get it like this but it was just tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, olives and dressing. Wasn't a big fan of this. We also ordered the calamari which was amazing and perfectly crispy. Not oily like other spots. For my entree I got the Chicken breast skewers and it was pretty good, definitely wasn't worth the price for $33, it came with rice and potatoes but I subbed it for fries. I definitely think this place would be a 4 star if the prices were a bit better. I've had expensive Mediterranean food and I think it should be a little less for how the food was.

The BEST Greek cuisine hands down! From the moment I sat down, I knew I was in for a treat. They start you off with warm bread and the most delicious dip made from avocado - it's creamy, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and the Chilean sea bass, which came perfectly prepared with roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables. Every bite was flavorful, light, and satisfying. I came here for a solo lunch date and absolutely thoroughly enjoyed myself. The ambiance is sexy and chic with that classic Malibu breeze, and the service was fabulous - attentive, warm, and welcoming without being overbearing. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, this is a must-visit spot for an elevated and authentic Greek experience in Malibu. I'll definitely be back!

So we're big fans of Greek island vibes and Taverna didn't disappoint. First off their outdoor patio is a winner. It's such a fantastic spot to indulge in the Malibu breeze while enjoying your Grecian meal. The best part and I'm not kidding is their bread with garlic sauce. They're both complimentary which is amazing given how delectable each are. The bread is so chewy and the garlic sauce deserves to be a food group of its own. Don't skip on the grilled octopus. I repeat don't skip on the grilled octopus.

Is the location family-friendly? Is smoking allowed?

Very family and dog friendly on the patio. No smoking at any restaurant in California.

Are there Covid precautions currently taken?

    nope

    Is there a full bar?

Yes, a really nice full bar, friendly bartenders, you can order food as well from the bar,and see the band from the bar.

Is there a Corkage fee if you bring your own bottles-if so what is it?

    25.00 per bottle

    How's the live band?

The music isn't bad. On normal/low crowd days it's a keyboard player with piped other music. On heavier night when they have a full band its very cool, they bring out a belly dancer and have a great time!

The restaurant has a warm, inviting ambiance that's perfect for a relaxed meal. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Our server was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable, while the friendly manager stopped by to make us feel genuinely welcome. The food was excellent across the board. The Maine Lobster Roll Sandwich, served on a warm, buttered brioche bun, was generously filled with sweet lobster and accompanied by delicious, perfectly cooked fries that everyone at our table enjoyed. The Lucky Chili, with red onion, sour cream, and cheddar cheese paired with a warm cornbread muffin, was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. The Lucky's Salad was another standout, featuring Roquefort cheese, shrimp, bacon, green beans, avocado, romaine, tomatoes, and roasted peppers, all complemented by a flavorful dressing. One unexpected highlight was the bread basket. We were delighted to learn that Lucky's bakes most of its own bread in-house, and every variety we sampled was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. From the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding food, Lucky's delivered a memorable dining experience. It's the perfect stop whether you're heading to Los Angeles or returning along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. We can certainly understand why locals continue to support this wonderful restaurant, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Malibu.

Lucky's Malibu announces its impending failures via a badly designed imitation of the facade of the original restaurant grafted onto the cut and paste flat wall architecture of the far side of the Cross Creek Mall. Upon entry, the main dining room / bar demonstrated the ambient noise level of a 1940s German steel mill during an Allied bombing raid. There is zero intimacy, warmth or charm offered. in case you didn't know, very loud dining rooms are almost always a design / business choice. They promote stress, encourage the heavy drinkers who relish these types of environments (a choice that is good for the bottom line but not diners), and create rapid table turnover. Not a great combination for an alleged "fine dining" establishment. intimate conversation disappears after about 45dB and at 70dB people start to experience physical reactions (including higher cortisol levels, muscular tension and vigilance) that make customers want to get up from their table rather than linger over dinner. The food was "OK". My wife ordered lamb chops and I had a bone in New York. The prices were quite high, but not astronomical, assuming the meat had been better prepared. It was "OK". The appetizers were a disaster. Grilled peach and prosciutto yielded peaches that were not grilled, low quality grainy ricotta and mediocre prosciutto. Bland and over priced. The iceberg wedge salad was large but was bland and ungenerous, with the allegedly associated salad dressing and other assorted salad ingredients. Service? Adequate. Polite, but rushed. Our server was hurried and conducted "big smile" performative check- ins that felt as if they had no discernible purpose other than to move us through courses and turn tables. I always assume that this style of service is not the server's fault, but a management choice. I am also willing to admit that the server was likely unable to conduct anything close to a genuine interest in our dinner experience because of the noise. Lucky's in Montecito attracts a very different crowd. More professional and reserved. The night we were at the Malibu location, it seemed to attract a lot of obnoxious, rude and badly dressed people who were advertising their real or fantasized connection to "the industry" by wearing t shirts, shorts, hoodies or otherwise dressing like slobs. We were profoundly relieved to exit Lucky's. Not my idea of how to drop $400+

The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun, and the Malibu location makes the whole experience even better. The lobster roll is amazing. It is easily one of the best things on the menu and one of the reasons I keep wanting to come back. The lobster is delicious, and they don't ruin it by making it overly complicated. You actually get to enjoy the flavor of the lobster. It's the kind of meal you think about afterward and want to order again the next time you visit. The mussels are also so good. They are flavorful, satisfying, and absolutely worth ordering. And the oysters have always tasted incredibly fresh. When you're ordering oysters, freshness is everything, and I've been very impressed with the quality here. What really makes Broad Street Oyster Co. special to me, though, is that it isn't just about the food. The owner is genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met. That makes such a difference. There are plenty of restaurants with good food, but when the people behind a restaurant are welcoming, friendly, and actually make you feel appreciated as a customer, you remember it. And then there is the location. You're in Malibu eating incredible seafood in a wonderful setting. It's hard to beat that combination. It feels like exactly the kind of place you hope to find when you're spending a day in Malibu--great seafood, a laid-back atmosphere, friendly people, and a beautiful area to enjoy. I've had the lobster roll, mussels, and oysters, and I would happily order all of them again. The lobster roll is amazing, the mussels are delicious, and the oysters are wonderfully fresh. Broad Street Oyster Co. is the kind of restaurant I actually look forward to visiting rather than simply going somewhere because I'm hungry. Between the quality of the seafood, the wonderful Malibu location, and how incredibly nice the owner is, I've had such positive experiences here. Absolutely five stars. I highly recommend it, especially if you love lobster rolls, fresh oysters, and great seafood.
