Cute little place inside, but it's rather small if you have a large party and you're trying to stay and sit. The tea selection isn't as wide as other places, but it definitely doesn't disappoint. I don't normally write reviews but I thought Tea Brick was so good that I was compelled to write one. There are so many levels that I find great about this place after my few visits. Also, this establishment tickles my fancy about supporting local mom and pop shops. Here's a summary of the experiences I've had at Tea Brick: Ordering: Pretty easy when going in. Line isn't too bad, unlike some other place down the street (H&H), 2-3 people at the max. I was able to even call an order in and my drink was ready when I got there a few minutes later. Tea: Love the real tea flavors of this place as well as the real fruits used in the drinks. The Vanessa, Christine, and Girlfriend are among my favorites. I like being able to customize the level of sweetness. Ambiance: Typical of boba joints, but not so loud that you can't hear yourself think. Service: Excellent. As I mentioned, I was able to order ahead, no minimum order amount required, unlike that place down the street. When I came in with my infant & infant carrier in tow, the cashier behind the register even asked if I needed help back out to my car. This is what pushed my star rating to a 5. Trust me, I have never had that offer from any other boba place. All in all, a great experience. I will have to try the brick toast next time. read more

Cute place with good drinks. The one I got kinda looked like salsa but it was amazing they have seating inside and parking out back. The service was great and our drinks came out quick even though there were 5 of us. Every drink we got tasted really good, even the chocolatey ones which I typically don't like. Best boba I HAVE tried so far. Iv'e had the passion fruit w/ boba, strawberry tea, and The Christine, they were all delicious, but my favorite is The Christine which is strawberry, mango and passion fruit flavor green tea with fresh strawberries and mangos. The fresh fruit makes it a tad bit pricier, but it's worth it. Their teas have that strong tea taste but it's not overpowering and the after taste of every sip is just perfectly sweet. The customer service is awesome, I've had my order brought directly to me as I was standing there waiting, and they apologized for the .50 credit card charge when u spend less than $10, even after I used the 10% off Yelp check-in!!!! I've been coming here for years. It's the only place I know that uses a bunch of fresh fruit and not take fruit syrup for their drinks. I always get the Christine with fresh mangoes and strawberries. I came here on a busy day to pick up drinks and my hands were completely full because I had to carry my newborn son in his carseat inside. Their milk tea with boba is delicious! I was surprised. I normally held Half&Half as one of the best milk teas with boba, but Tea Brick may beat Half&Half when it comes to this. The line is short, there is parking in the back and underground. When I'm in the SGV, this will be my place for milk tea with boba. Came here after eating at mama lus and I wasn't expecting to like this place but the tea really isn't bad! They have really weird names for their drinks and that made it a little hard to narrow down and choose since it was distracting but I really like the girlfriend tea. This is honey green tea with grapefruit. I think I also tried the Christine but I'm not sure. Something with strawberry and fruits. Stay away from the drink that has horchata. That was nasty. I think their milk tea was ok. There's a lot of kids here doing hw and studying so if you no longer do either of these, prepare to feel like an old feet coming in. Check in for 10% off! read more

I ordered an almond milk tea and it was delicious It had just the right amount of sweetness and the taste of almond wasn't too strong. I loved that they didn't but tooo much ice so the drink didn't get watered down. The best part was the actual boba. I hate when I go to boba places and the boba is too soft or toooooo hard. The boba here is just perfect. It's not soft and squishy at all. It's a bit hard but not tooo hard it's just perfect. Try this place if you want some good boba. Not a fan. I'm an avid JKNews fan and always see the cast drinking Tea Brick, so I thought I would go and check it out. Upon entering the shop, the tea room is recorded very nicely, and its kind of set up like Half n Half where you don't get to see your drink being made. I ordered the Tea Brick Specialty milk tea with grass jelly (JK casts' favorite drink) and my boyfriend ordered the Oolong milk tea with boba. Both drinks were ordered with standard everything (sweetness, ice, etc) I thought it was cute that they were packaged in bottles, but that's were all the positives stopped. Long story short, both drinks were gross. The oolong milk tea tasted like water and milk mixed together. No flavor and extremely bland The Tea Brick Specialty milk tea tasted like weird- a$$ chocolate milk with a bitter after taste. WHY JK, WHY.....JKNews you have disappointed me :( Probably will not be returning. read more

tea brick is located inside an asian plaza. its nicely decorated with large chalkboard walls displaying the menu options in large colorful letters. the drinks here tend to be a little too milky for my stomach. and as we discovered last week, they don't offer fresh milk, just the processed powdered stuff. boo. this round, i wised up and got the sea salt genmaicha tea. im a sucker for gen mai cha to start with, and mixing it with just a little cream and sea salt was really delightful! this isn't my favorite tea place. but convenient after i've had a scrumptious dumpling meal at mama lus! read more

I've been coming here ever since it changed from a yogurt shop to a boba shop. It's really close to my house so I stop by whenever I need a caffeine fix or to satisfy my boba cravings. The store is really small so that means more often then not, I just end up getting to go because the seats fill up really fast. As for the drinks, the best deal is definitely their dollar fifty (I think) boba milk tea. They used to be able to adjust the sugar level but now, they can't make it less sweet. The dollar fifty boba milk tea comes in a smaller cup but when you order any other drink, they come in only one size - large. So, the prices might seem a bit pricey, but that's because they're all large sizes. I usually get the Rose GMT w/ pudding because I've been on a rose craze lately. Their milk teas are more milky then tea flavored. I'm not too big on their horchata milk tea. It's safer to stick with the other milk teas, haha. They have specialty drinks like Christine and Vanessa that are mostly fruity flavored. Their toasts are intricately made - with a scoop of ice cream and lots of fruit. The bartenders are pretty nice. All in all, they make pretty good milk teas and I'll definitely recommend it to friends. read more

I found this place on Yelp and with all these 4 and 5 star reviews I was hopeful that I had finally found a new place to get milk tea without paying $4 (this place was only $2). Unfortunately, their style of milk tea isn't what I like. It's pretty heavy and thick, reminds me of the milk tea from Half & Half, Lollicup, etc. If you like milk tea from Half & Half, then this is the place for you. I prefer the lighter style milk tea like they make it at Ten Ren and Tea Station. Maybe it's because these places use high quality tea leaves (hence the exorbitant prices)? Tea Brick was a nice place. My siblings took me here because it was the "new" place to go in the 626. I checked in and received 10% off my order (that's always nice). I tried the rose milk tea which was delicious and interesting at the same time. It actually had real rose petals in it. So be careful if you order it, I don't want it to freak you out. My sister ordered the taro milk tea (or smoothie?) and it had real taro in it. She found it weird since she only likes the flavor and not the real chunks, so she wasn't a fan. The place is tiny so come early if you want a table. We got lucky when we came and there was plenty of space. I think they also offer free wifi since a group of people were on their laptops. I'd go back. It's hard to find a good boba place that serves rose milk tea! They also offered a number of food choices. Maybe next time I'll try something. read more

I like that they list their most popular teas on the chalkboard wall, especially with the quirky names. I also like that they put actual pieces of fruit into your tea drinks. However, it's actually kind of hard to suck out chunks of mushy strawberry through even a boba straw. I tried the Vanessa and the Girlfriend teas, which were good. They have different sweetness levels, and will happily adjust your drinks. Like any good teahouse, they have games! Even though getting dominated in Connect 4 kinda sucks, this is still a decent tea spot. Would come back if in the area and craving tea and a game. I've only been to tea brick twice before and the first time I went was wayyyyyy back in history. But I recently heard that they have some interesting new cups now so I came here with a friend to try it out. I went during the afternoon after having lunch next door at Mama Lu's. It was pretty empty, but I think if you come during peak hours, the place can get pretty crowded as there is very limited seating. I got the Girlfriend drink while my friend got the Christine. I think my drink was made with REAL GRAPEFRUIT bc it took them hella long to make my drink and I saw someone go upstairs and then come back down carrying a box full of grapefruit... LOL. My drink was pretty strong too... The bottle that you get seems like it would be reusable, but I tried to put something in it and whenever the bottle shook, liquids would leak LOL. So.....I think the bottle is pretty for pictures and stuff, but not efficient for reuse. read more

Came here on a Monday morning and it wasn't too busy. I ordered a Rose Green MT which was good but just a tad bitter for my taste compared to other places I've had (I probably should've just asked to get it a little sweeter). My cousin got the classic MT with pudding, also good. For snacks, we had the sweet potato fries and popcorn chicken. Both were very tasty and fresh! I like that drinks come in a reusable bottle but the tops are still sealed incase you're drinking them on the go. Quite like this tea joint a lot!! I've only been a few times since there are about 382833 other good boba shops closer to where I live. Decided to pop in again after seeing the super cute corgi bottles. I'm still surprised at how reasonable the prices are, given that they all come with the corgi bottles! Tea brick is known for having cute bottles and man are they killing it! I can't comment too much on a fave drink since I don't frequent here but from what I've had so far, their drinks are good! Should prolly stick to their top 10 list though, based on general consensus. I have ventured off their top 10 list and found that their Oreo milk tea & rose green milk tea are good as well! Compared to other boba spots, they have more unique flavors and less of the standard/staple/basic milk teas. I'm pretty sure some of the drinks tend to be more on the sweeter side (coming from someone who has a gigantic sweet tooth) but you can always adjust the sweetness level. More importantly, their boba is great. It has the right consistency, chew, flavor, sweetness & size. I try to only get boba during the weekends (usually stick to spots in closer to where I live in Arcadia/temple city/San Gabriel) but this recent visit has me reconsidering since I work in Alhambra during weekdays. The interior is super cute! I got the christine and the rose milk tea. Both were really good and not too sweet. Definitely worth coming back. The drinks also came with reusable cups with really cute designs! Mine came with corgi designs and I absolutely love it. They change their cup designs every few months and it makes it hard to not want to collect them. The service here is really good. The employees are all very nice and offer to fix your drink if you dislike it. They also have games here that you can borrow. So if you're looking for a place to hangout with your friends, this is the place! However, it is quite small. Which makes it hard to get tables at times. They also have drawings on the walls, which makes it super cute! I came here a couple of times and I always have a great experience here.
