A friend organized a lunch "Tea Time" to celebrate her birthday early with the work ladies. In order to save time, she had us look at the menu before and she pre-ordered our choices. There was 7 of us and 4 of us pre-ordered and the rest ordered when they arrived. Weird that those that ordered there got their food earlier than us. Patience is key here....we didn't get the food until 50 minutes after we have arrived. Unfortunately, most of us had to leave to return back to work so we just had a short time to enjoy our sandwiches and our scones. I got the cinnamon scone and one each of the following sandwiches: cucumber/cream cheese, chicken salad and avocado/hummus. There was also some fresh fruit on our tiered tray...the fruit was really fresh. The best part of my meal was the scone.....the flavor was wonderful! I had a great time because I was in great company and this place was definitely an experience. Its cute! We were seated outside, so I didn't see the inside seating area. Our tables had tablecloths, but one of my friends said that she had been there before and also seated outside and the tables were bare. Service was friendly. Loved the fresh rose placed in the middle of the table. Would I come back by myself, probably not, but if asked to come back with friends I wouldn't say no.

Very cutesy place serving English tea, scones and tea time snacks. Ideal if you want to have a Bridgerton themed outing or just a proper English high tea. Might feel a little madam puddifoot's which may be a feature or a bug, depending on how you view it ;)

Great time at Tea Time! What a fantastic experience. My two sisters and I were spoiled by this whole experience. Totally blown away and would recommend you to go and experience the Queen High Tea option. The service was amazing with high quality food and teas. I felt like I was a queen and am grateful a place like this exits. The ambience is like stepping into England and enjoying a peaceful time together with my sisters.

This place was a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be! My friend and I got the High Tea service. Our server brought out three plates, each with special tea blend leaves on them, just so we could see and select which we liked. It was fun to get a look at the leaves and smell them. They had no problem with my friend selecting a different tea from their (quite large) selection. To start, there were little quiches and spanakopitas that were pretty good. Also a small kale salad, but the dressing was sort of strange and tasted mostly like peanut butter. The sandwiches were fine? One of them had some large pieces of sundried tomato on top that felt awkward to eat. Overall, this place has a cute, relaxed atmosphere. The service was very friendly and the tea was fantastic but I would skip the food next time.

This place holds a special place in my wife and my heart. We came here while we were dating during the height of the pandemic and enjoyed our first time here outdoors. We came back in in 2023, a few months before I would propose to my ex-fiance (now my wife hahaha), and our recent visit, we came to Tea Time as a married couple. Entering the restaurant, you are automatically greeted with a warm, and comfortable environment. There is limited seating reserved for parties way ahead of time. My wife and I were fortunate to have been placed at our same table near the fire place where we enjoyed great conversation, an AMAZING meal, and the pairing of the tea?! Next to time with my wife, the highlight of my visit this time around was enjoying High Tea! Our meals were paired with tea. For me, I enjoy a certain tea with any and all my meals and snacks. However, Tim's knowledge of flavors and textures allowed for my wife and I to enjoy amazing tasting tea with an amazing tasting high tea meal. It's crazy to think that these servings seem smaller compared to what you might receive at any other restaurant, but we both walked away full but not stuffed. It was a GREAT feeling. What also made our experience great is being able to talk with Tim, sharing our story with him and the significance of his establishment to our relationship and enjoying every piece of the experience of his restaurant. By the way, if you ever get a chance to have his seasonal pumpkin soup - do yourself a favor and have a taste. He paired it with a samosa, salad, and another appetizer-like dish and tea and I was almost full with that. It was DELICIOUS. If you are in town looking for something that includes great food and a unique experience, you should consider TEA TIME. The quality of their food and tea is complimented by their service and environment. This is a great spot for a date night out with your special person, a gathering with friends, or for someone looking to read their favorite book outside of their home. Thank you Tim, and everyone over at Tea Time that makes this place a jewel in the Bay Area.

This is an amazing high tea experience. The proprietor clearly understands and loves tea and designs a unique progression for the pairings. The star of the show was this pumpkin soup with strong herbaceous, savory goodness. If you're looking for high tea with quality ingredients and creative touches this is it.

Came here for a friend's birthday party with a total of 6 people. We were seated outside, which was lovely to enjoy the ambiance. The street is closed off for pedestrians, so it doesn't feel like you're amidst any cars. The set up was lovely and they did a nice job explaining each course and tea. Servers were very friendly and helpful. However, it would have been nice to keep a menu for reference throughout, since they only showed us a print out menu for the first few minutes. The verbally repeated each item when they were delivered, but it was hard to remember. The savory first course was my favorite. The inside is very cute as well, but a bit tighter. It's a fantastic place to dress up for cute tea with your friends! We brought a camera too to capture everything and loved the fresh flowers on our table.

My husband surprised me for my birthday and took me here for high tea. The place is small but decorated very nicely. Chairs were comfy. We decided on the Queens High Tea menu which already included specific tea pairings. The owner personally came out to explain each of the items on the menu which we appreciated very much! All three of the recommended teas we had were very good. The menu also included a very small bowl of pumpkin soup which was perfect for the season. The tea sandwiches, pastries and scones were all delicious. Overall, the servings seemed small but it did satisfy our appetites and we even had some leftovers to take home. I truly enjoyed my high tea experience here and can't wait to share this spot with my daughter next time.

May Special (aka Queen's Tea) $59.99 Variety 5/5 Portion Sizes 3/5 Value 3/5 Fullness 6/5 Reservation Process 3.5/5 Call or email to make a reservation, they do ask for your credit card to hold the reservation so you can't cancel last minute. I recommend that you choose which tea set you would like to have before reaching out since they will ask. This tea service set is busy with the large variety of items that it came with but portion sizes are tiny. We still felt really full and did not finish all the sweets on top. I did wish that at the price point we were paying that we had more control over what we received at less variety but bigger portion sizes. The sandwiches are tinier than any hors d'œuvres you have ever seen. Honorable mention items: guava sencha tea, tomato soup (a bit too tart), egg roll, cinnamon scone, smoked salmon cream cheese sandwich, shrimp avocado sandwich, chicken walnut salad sandwich Notably bad items: the whole top tier With this said, we are definitely open to coming back but won't splurge again on the top priced set.

I really enjoyed the food & service here! The food was actually very good for afternoon tea, especially the variety of sandwiches and the vast variety of teas! However, the only thing I hope they could improve on a bit is the environment- there is limited seating outside and they only allow the "high tea" users to sit outside- which is around $60 per person. It would be nice if they allowed other menu users to use the outside dining space too!

I'll start by saying that the owner is very friendly, kind and knowledgeable, he is very passionate about tea and it's very proud and cheerful with customers. The teas were nice and I loved the have adorable tea cups and teapots and they come in the cutest "pot warmers". The shop is really small but very cute and cozy and the service as attentive and timely. I went for the Queen's tea special and didn't think $65 was too much (considering I paid something similar in London in the several tea places I went to).. However, I was a bit disappointed on the quality of the food provided. They start with a soup which was a new thing. The food wasn't "bad", but everything seemed store bought, the savory tea sandwiches were really small and didn't seem fresh. I recognized every Trader Joe's item from the cheese squares, from the samosas and egg salad and I think it robbed from the experience. The owner did say he made his own clotted cream which wasn't bad and was very light. I guess the place is really small and lacks a proper kitchen but it really didn't measure up to what I've expected as far as afternoon tea places.. I may go again for just the tea and maybe a cookie, but wasn't truly impressed with the Queens tea offering.

I have been wanting to do tea time and had the most fun time with my friend, and spent 2 hours there! I was happy to be able to get to go cups to pack the tea we couldn't finish. Food - My favorite mini sandwiches in order: salmon cream cheese, chicken apple walnut, cucumber cheese, and turkey-cranberry. - My favorite tea in order: Strawberry green tea, assam blend, and rooibos pure (the flavor reminds me of the Chinese herbal grass jelly drink). - The scone was tasty with the clotted cream with lemon curd jam. - I was already so full and couldn't even eat any fruits and desserts. Service - Everyone was so welcoming, attentive, and kind. With every dish and drink that came out came with a explanation and suggestion with which tea goes with which dish. Ambiance - Cute table settings indoors with many tea set and tea options to look at. I was amazed how many tea options they had!

I took my parents to Tea Time for Mother's Day weekend, and it was a pretty pleasant afternoon. The cozy vibe, with shelves filled with adorable tea cups and pots, set the perfect scene for the Mother's Day themed high tea. We started off with three teas: Peach Rooibos, Sencha Guava Mango, and Black Currant Ceylon. Our top pick was the Rooibos. They came with the typical three-tiered plating of foods!! We hit a couple of bumps during our visit, like initially missing the Salmon with Capers sandwich. But when we asked, the staff quickly fixed us up, though I'm still confused about why that happened in the first place. Another thing we noticed was another table got their food before us, even though they arrived later. We were so into the Rooibos tea that we asked for a refill of hot water (which was free), but just a heads up, refilling the tea itself costs extra. Despite these little hiccups, Tea Time still gave my parents a lovely Mother's Day treat! Our server was super nice and even gave us tea leaves samples. Tea Time is worth considering for a relaxing afternoon treat.

Now, I'm usually not a coffee drinker, but a friend of mine out here is slowly getting me into it... or maybe she's just using me to feed her caffeine habit lol. Either way, I'm starting to enjoy it more. I grabbed a vanilla latte and a raspberry charlotte and man, both hit the mark and the spot before I headed out. The store is always so classy, beautifully decorated, and the pastry presentation is next-level. It's the kind of display that makes you want to order one of everything just because it looks that good. The seating area inside is small, so if you don't lock a seat you'll either be outside at the front tables or grabbing it to go. The hospitality here is always amazing -- super attentive, courteous, and genuinely kind. Only thing to note is the parking. It's street parking, so keep your head on a swivel when pulling in or out. All in all, this place continues to deliver.
