I went here on a Saturday morning to meet with a friend. It was busy and there was a line out the door. Parking can be hard since it's midtown and you can park on the street. I've only been to one other Temple location on Fair Oaks Boulevard and that one is way smaller compared to this one. I haven't had much luck finding a seat at that one when I've gone. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating and plenty of seats. It was not completely full despite being busy. They also have two bathrooms. I am not a coffee drinker but it seemed like they had a variety of non coffee drinks such as sparkling water matcha which sounded interesting and is seasonal. They have chai, matcha, and various teas for the non coffee drinkers. My friend and I both got the Thai iced tea which I haven't seen before on their menu! It wasn't the normal orange color I expect out of Thai iced tea at Thai restaurants but it had the same type of flavor I'm used to. It was very refreshing! The prices for a drink are around $7 or more which is on the more expensive side. Overall, I would return to check out their non coffee drinks/seasonal menus despite them being known for their coffee their Thai iced tea was delicious! I'm glad they offer other caffeinated alternatives. read more

Sitting in a corner spot, nestled against a window on a warm spring night, I am reminded of why I spend 9 hrs a day in a boring office, working my life away. It's for the little things; take this cup of iced decaf for instance, it tastes delicious, it makes me happy and it doesn't get me cracked out before bedtime. There's no other place in Sacramento to find such a delicious drink at this hour, other than Temple Coffee Roasters on K St! Lately, life has been beating my beans, and admittedly, I've been giving in. But, when I get out at night, (when the tears stop falling) I know the friendly staff and delish decaf at Temple will be there to lift me up. I'm here for a conference for a couple days and came here after dinner. It's a cute little coffee shop in Downtown Sacramento with a lot of space inside and out if you'd like to work on something or hang out. I kept it simple and ordered a hot Vanilla Latte and my bf ordered one of their specials, Campfire Sing A Long. Both were really food and not super sweet. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in town. read more

Temple always hits the spot and I'm glad they carry vegan pastries!! I don't go as much as I used to because it's getting pretty expensive. This location isn't my favorite. Not ideal parking, and the patio isn't great. My last visit a few of the tables were dirty and every table was taken inside on a weekday. Don't love Midtown as much as I did when I was younger, it's getting dirty with a lot of stinky people everywhere. Great place to stop if you're walking around running errands around this location. But not my first choice. Employees are nice :) read more

So i've been coming here for a very long time.And about a week ago, one of the staff was very rude to me. I complained to management and sent them an email. I didn't do anything crazy, i was very calm during the interaction and simply said, hey, I don't appreciate being treated this way and then I asked to speak to a manager. All the staff was very rude and basically told me "you can just email management" Well, I attempted to go in again today. And they told me that i'm banned from coming in now. No explanation, no apology for being treated poorly. I don't know what happened exactly, but i'm assuming that the staff that was rude to me lied about the interaction and accused me of something to get me banned. read more

Temple is one of my favorite roasters - I love their Three Pillars beans. This location has a beautiful and cozy setup with plenty of seating. I got their winter bliss drink and it was incredible, definitely a new seasonal favorite. They were able to make it in my own insulated cup but unfortunately it was so scorching hot when I took a sip that I had to spit it out bc of the burn... otherwise a great flavor profile and perfect amount of sweetness. read more

Temple is a really cool coffee shop, and the larger location has an amazing atmosphere. It's perfect for a coffee date with friends, getting some work done, or even meeting new people--especially if you're new to Sacramento. Just a heads-up: make sure you visit the bigger location. They do have a smaller spot, but the vibe isn't quite the same. The coffee itself is average in my opinion--I've tried it multiple times and it's nothing to rave about--but they do have a tempting selection of baked goods (though I haven't personally tried them). Overall, it's a great place to mingle and relax. read more

This Temple Coffee Roasters is a favorite with their penny floors and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. You'll usually find a line out the door during peak hours, but the staff is pretty quick with getting people through the lines. The staff is really friendly as well and can talk you through ordering a drink that you'll like best. I usually pick up some whole beans when I stop in and during certain times of the year they'll do promotions where you can get a cute mug or a deal when you buy beans. They have a good variety of coffee supplies as well and I love seeing the new tumbler designs they come out with throughout the years. It's a great spot to meet up with friends or hang out to work and enjoy some coffee and a pastry. They have two all gender bathrooms as well that have always been clean when I've used them which is nice. read more

Lovely cafe, friendly faces, and delicious coffee. I stopped by for some brew and noticed they had some good looking pastries on yelp. I don't know the area very well, but this is a must stop for future visits. The snacks and coffee are lit like candlelight. Ordered an espresso tonic here and the barista asked if a particular espresso was okay - don't remember the name of the espresso. They didn't mention that it was an additional charge, otherwise I wouldn't have said it was okay. I needed a place to do some work and stumbled upon this coffee shop. It's a cute vibe for sure. Lots of seating, which is perfect when needing to get work done. I'm new here and so I wasn't quite sure how to order. Needless to say I wanted to try something new but didn't know what or how to order. It wasn't self explanatory. Anywho I ended up getting drip coffee. The pastries are on the other side of the counter, which made it difficult to see ahead of time to know what to order. I ended up getting an almond croissant. Since I dined in, the coffee was served in a small coffee mug with saucer. The almond croissant was served cold. They should offer these warmed up. I guess if you're a regular you'll get the hang of ordering their specialty items. I however wanted to but since it wasn't noticeable I stuck with what I knew. I paid around $12 total for both items. I love Temple Coffee so much! Unfortunately, my London fog today was the saddest thing ever. I've had plenty of great London fogs before, and my expectations/standards of Temple are so high! My heart was tragically broken today. RIP When I got my drink, I allowed the tea to steep for a few minutes before I poured myself a cup. But once I did, I noticed that the tea was not steeped with enough time in hot water beforehand and I was given basically foamy milk with vanilla in a mug. Disappointed and surprised. read more

Plenty of business mid-day on- a Friday, it seemed there was always at least one person ordering, and the staff was quick moving the line along. I went with a Mexican Mocha, great flavor and presentation as well. My body is a Temple and this place keeps my soul happy. Been going to Temple for years now since we moved to Sac. This is the best Temple in my opinion because it feels like home. I worked here before.. clickity clacking my keyboard as I eat yummy pastry, my delicious matcha sweetened with vanilla. I am the main character in my life and on days I don't want to make my own matcha, I come here. Consistent, aesthetic, cool ambiance, familiar.... This place is my spot. Sunday morning breakfast? Temple roasts and serves high-quality coffee in the Sacramento area. This location is super awesome (close to Lavender Heights). Temple always has good staples on their coffee and baked goods menu, and they pair that with a rotating, seasonal selection that can't be beat! This location has a few spots to sit outdoors but there's plenty of space inside too. The employees are helpful in suggestion coffee if you get overwhelmed by all the choices. read more

I come here all the time, the ambiance is perfect and they have some wall plugs in the back for working/studying. there's sometimes regular homeless people who come in and disturb some of the guests and regularly hang out around the windows in front of the outlet wall which can get really distracting. but the employees are really nice and they offer healthier bakery options. read more

What I'm most impressed with is how many locations they have in Sacramento. The Davis location has one of the cleanest and freshest smelling bathrooms I've ever been in and very spacious. This location is a whole vibe. I like that it has outside seating and inside seating with so many pastry/bakery/dessert options for guests. Omg that coffee cake donut was one of the best I've tasted - that frosting is not really needed. Also the creme fraiche blueberry donut was so delicious I never got to try, my boyfriend in fact ate it all and said it was the best tasting blueberry muffins he's ever had lol. The next day we went to their fair oaks location since he owed me a muffin and wowww... I see why he secretly ate it and didn't share. I have these cages saved on my google and I will return. Great vibes and chill music Coffee - they have speciality flavors of the season. We got the Mexican Mocha and Not Your Mama's Umami. Both were well brewed espresso, with sweet and creamy chocolate, and topped with powder. Food - they have artisan chocolate bars, granola bars, and pastries (muffins, loaves, croissants). The inside is bright and full of plants. The perfect study and hang out spot. read more

Great staff, great environment, and great management. The other day the AC went down and the manager brought in portable fans to set up for workers and patrons throughout. It was lifesaving. I've heard a lot of hype about Temple, so I was excited to finally give it a try. The coffee was good and the staff were friendly, but overall it just didn't blow me away. Maybe my expectations were a little too high going in. It's definitely better than your standard Starbucks run, but when it comes to local chains in Sacramento, I personally prefer a few others. My boyfriend took me here a few times to try their lattes and pastries. Both were tasty and delicious. The baristas are super friendly and helpful, service is perfect for a coffee shop. A couple years ago I wrote a review about the problems with homeless people increasingly coming into the shop and behaving unsafe in the cafe. This was upsetting because I enjoyed coming to this location with its very friendly staff, the baristas really engage with you and make you feel welcomed. Management was fast in contacting me and addressing my concerns. This place is busy. It is a big space for a coffee shop, but it's so popular that the line can be out the door and it may be difficult to find a seat outside or inside. I love the vibe of this place, it's just sooo cozy. The staff definitely have a working system. They work to have your drink made by the time you're ready to pay. I wanted to try something different, so I got an affogato. The espresso was so rich in flavor and it was paired perfectly with the gelato. I also decided to get a cookie. This was my first time trying out Temple Coffee Roasters and I really enjoyed my time there. There's a wide range of drinks and pastries to try out; the price is OK. I really liked the ambiance -- slower-paced, friendly, and not too loud. Perfect spot to chat over coffee for an hour or so. I had an americano and a muffin; they were standard, so not much to comment on. It was a chilly Saturday morning so all the indoor seats were taken. The outdoor seats have a great view of the changing colors of the trees. Plus, a great place to bump into other dog owners. One other cool thing is that Temple Coffee is walking distance from the farmers market. read more

But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

I so appreciate the front girl answering all my silly questions, the efficiency of the team, getting to watch the man in the kitchen do his work, and the clean and inviting presence of the place. My daughter brought in her baby milk and spilt some, only for one of the guys to clean it up quickly. I so appreciate you guys!! There was a challenge, as I also spoke with the front girl about, but parking is competitive. All the parking spots were taken. Some parking spots were reserved for the neighboring businesses, so I found parking on the roadside. Is it possible to expand the parking lot? They partnered with Pastry Cat and unfortunately the common theme was they never had pastries even in 9am window. Not their fault but maybe partnering with a patisserie that offers consistent inventory might be worthwhile? The ambience is less "come and enjoy your drink" and more "we don't have enough seating"and use the space efficiently. I think if they update the layout of the tables and chairs, it would feel more inviting to sit for a bit or meet up with friends. The parking lot. It's terrible, crowded and people don't know how to park. I saw a couple of cars almost back into eachother while waiting and I was grateful I parked on the street and walked. Overall, the quality of the drinks and the friendliness are great and that receives 4 stars. If you want a quality matcha drink then give them a try. But I have access to other cafes that meet my needs; enough that Offbeat will be more of an off the beaten path option than a regular one.

It's perfectly serviceable for a cafe, but the ambiance isn't on par when you compare them. The service, however, was superb. I found the baristas there to be very friendly and warm. It's hard to go wrong with Temple, and if you/re looking for a great coffee drink and near this one, it's certainly worth the visit!

No designated parking lot of plenty of residential 2-hour parking around. Just be careful of signs to avoid any parking tickets. Come try!

I looked up the origin and it turns out Wushiland is a spin off from the Taiwanese boba chain 50嵐 (if you speak mandarin, it says Wushi Lan). Located on Sutterville in a tiny strip mall with minimal parking right next to the Freeport area where there are plenty of good eats, some of which are my favorite places in Sac to eat at, Wushiland is in an optimal location. Bright, clean, and with a decent amount of seating, you have the option to order from kiosks or up front at the counter. The AC was blowing cold and a nice respite from the El Niño heat. The workers are friendly and drinks are made quickly. Be advised that the drinks are voluminous, especially if you're like me and ask for less ice. Coming from someone who considers Chicha San Chen their favorite Taiwanese tea chain (but alas we don't have it in Sac), the difference in quantity is huge. Obviously if you're looking for a refined style of tea chain, Wushiland doesn't compare, but still the taste of their teas shine through and there is a good variety for everyone's palate. The first time I tried their earl grey tea because I have been craving an earl grey for a while, and that was deliciously smooth. The mini boba were so fun to chew on, and I usually prefer them over the regular size. They provide a ton of boba here as well. The next time I had their yakult green tea and that was very refreshing indeed. Both times my husband went with fruit teas, and had nice remarks to say about both of his drinks. He also tried their new QQubes and their texture was very QQ (I had a sample). We will most certainly return to Wushiland, especially since it's so accessible. Prices are standard, and honestly for the amount of tea you get, it's very worth.

The theme is very colors of a bee; black and yellow. There's a long bench with cushions so it's a good place to sip and chill, and people come here to study it seems. Ive been here a few times mainly on a Saturday and all 3x it's been busy. They have 2 kiosks you can order from, or you can order from a human. Wushiland choose a good area of Sac to post up shop because it's the currently the only boba drink shop (for now) near Hollywood Park/Land Park and very close to Sac City College. We stopped by Temple Coffee for the first time after visiting the Midtown Farmers Market in Sacramento, and it was an absolute treat. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience stood out--the penny floor added such a unique and rare charm to the space, making it feel both warm and memorable. Despite the steady stream of foot traffic due to the farmers market, the staff was on top of it. They had a smart system of taking orders while we were still in line, so by the time we reached the register, our drinks were already being prepped. Efficiency like that during a rush is impressive. I had a clumsy moment and accidentally spilled my drink a bit while reaching for it, and the cashier immediately had the barista remake it without hesitation. That level of service really blew me away--genuine and thoughtful. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. We chose to sit on the patio to soak up the perfect 70-degree weather, surrounded by greenery and succulent plants, which made for a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. It ended up being the perfect setting for a great conversation. As for drinks, I had the hot dirty chai tea latte with oatmilk, which hit the spot. My wife went with a sugar-free vanilla iced latte with oatmilk--ideal for the warm day and definitely a hit with her. We didn't try any pastries since we were already full from the market, but everything behind the counter looked amazing. This is a cute little coffee place. find a lot of locals here just enjoying a cup of good coffee. They are also good for a light and quick breakfast or brunch. I love their interior - super high ceilings, a lot of light and very modern and cool. It has a good amount of hipster vibe to it and they certainly take it serious preparing your espresso or sandwich. always get a smile from the barista. They also serve slow drip coffee which tastes excellent. Seating is limited but usually you can always grab a table. read more

The coffee here is really good. The baristas seem like they could use some though. They all acted really bored and over it. I guess I don't understand this whole hipster subculture. This particular shop was beautiful. It was very open and airy. The floor is made up of thousands of pennies (super cool). In the pastry case you can find an array of treats from local bakeries. There were even options for people on restricted diets. I would make this my portable office space if I still lived here. read more

This place is amazing. I honestly crave their coffee everyday. I wish that I could hang out here everyday. The atmosphere is relaxing and cute. I really enjoy lattes but after reading some other reviews I realized I had to try the chai. Great idea, perfect amount of sweetness. I actually added a shot to mine and it came out super yum. While I was waiting for my order, I noticed that Mast is pet friendly, and it brightened my day seeing some patient, four legged friends in line. Mast is a cute, neighborhood coffee shop, and I appreciate that their social media does a better job of advertising what's available at 28th vs Broadway.

There were plenty of alternative milk options, but I believe there is an extra fee for adjusting so make sure to ask if that matters. I noticed a nice combo option on one of their signs offering a drink and bagel sandwich for $13, before 2 pm. Specific options only, but I will for sure try that next time. There were seating options inside and outside. It seemed like a decent spot to get some work accomplished in a relatively quiet environment. My drink was prepared quickly and had a good ratio of coffee to cheese foam. The cutest little carrot topping was added too. I actually wished there was a little more ice added to my drink. I went home and added it myself and the iced latte was my ideal temperature.

These aren't your average roasts. They put the beans through different processes like co-fermentation and the flavors are really unlike anything you'd get at a normal coffee shop. If you're from the South Bay and like the pour overs at Moonwake, this will be right up your alley. I tried the Apricot Jam Co-Fermentation, Picnic Day Co-Fermentation, and Orange Bourbon and they were all so distinct. The Orange Bourbon one was almost buttery and the other two were perfect as well. Service was exceptional and everyone was so friendly. The vibes inside were nice too. I love the coffee cups they use, the spout is so nice to drink from. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're tired of your normal pour overs. They have a really cool variety of coffee available including special fermentation flavors that are available in drinks as well as beans for sale. All of them have such fun, unique and delicious flavors. You'll definitely want to explore the menu and this is a rare spot where I order something different each time I visit, instead of settling into a regular order. They also have art on display that's for sale as well as other items for sale from local businesses as well as to help with all your coffee consumption needs. I love browsing the options for sale and I usually pick up a new bag of coffee beans each time I visit. On top of having delicious coffee, supporting other local businesses, and providing a comfortable and welcoming environment, they also are eco-friendly and utilize an emissions free, electric roasting process and they use special take-out cups that are also more eco friendly. I really appreciate the thought and work that has gone into the Anchor and Tree experience, and all the small details really add up to an experience that keeps me coming back.

All my kids loved it from my kinder to the older high school kids. I got juices for them too and all were organic and satisfying. Lastly, the customer service was amazing. When i ordered some food to go, the staff even gave me a carry bag because I was going back to the Capital Mall. It was revelatory choice for me and I thank Ari for it.
