My husband and I came here for dinner on a Friday night after asking my physical therapist for a Korean BBQ place with outdoor dining. We came here around 5:40 pm and the restaurant was open, but not busy. However, the restaurant had a strange rule: they wouldn't begin serving outdoor diners until 6 pm, so we sat there for 20 minutes before the server came to take our order. We decided to get Combo A, which included several different beef cuts and one pork cut. The server came out with an ample serving of banchan and a portable BBQ that she placed on our table. She cooked everything for us and was very kind. However, I didn't think the bbq here was excellent. It was fine, if you're craving BBQ and you don't feel like waiting for a long time at the other KBBQ places in the area. Prices are also a little bit cheaper than other places nearby. read more

I've tried Ahgassi Gopchang & Kang Ho Dong multiple times which are more popular options (bustling vibe) but my friends and I prefer Ten-Raku due to the meat quality and banchan variety. Not only do they take reservations, but we're always able to get seated quickly even if we do walk-in. We love getting the beef combos, especially the Ten-Raku combo for 5-6 ppl that comes with the beef tartare (so good). Staff cooks the meat for you which is always nice to have. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for better kbbq over the vibe. Street parking is challenging to find so expect to valet. Bring cash to pay the $4 fee. read more

Was looking for a food spot open late on a Wednesday night and they happened to be open so I gave it a try! Customer Service was really good, they cooked all of our meat and it tasted so sooooo good, the marinated beef prime ribs and the filet mignon were my favorite! A wee bit on the pricey AYCE side - I think it's $43 per for dinner. Every meat we got - bulgogi, kalbi, brisket, shrimp - was excellent. I'd say this is in the running for top quality in meat. Service was excellent. They come by and handle most of the cooking. Given the option I'd maybe drop this to a 4.5. Ban chan offerings were a bit too basic. Also, we're a big fan of jap chae and there wasn't anything like that on the menu. If you come early enough there's a few parking spots right in front. Kind of nice being able to watch your car while you eat. Music was a bit loud, you'll have to up your speaking volume to have a conversation. I saw an Instagram video that this place has spicy marinated raw crab as a side dish and had to try it. We got the ten raku combo and it was enough meat for 6 people. The combo came with fried rice or ramen or stew. They didn't have fried rice so we got ramen. The quality of the meat was okay. The short ribs were very good but everything else was pretty blah. I think our server overcooked most of the meat too. The ramen was okay, I think we would've enjoyed fried rice more. The side dishes were pretty whatever, we didn't ask for refill on any of them. The spicy marinated crab I came for was super disappointing. The texture was way off. If you want raw crab, go to crab house. The have 4 spots in their parking lot. Really enjoyable experience, but definitely at a premium price. Ten-Raku's biggest appeal is the incredible meat quality, with every combo sporting a platter of ridiculously marbled meat. Getting combo C, each cut was incredibly tender but a little plain. I appreciated the opportunity to really enjoy the meat's natural flavors, but since the dipping sauces weren't any good, the meats got a little bland and repetitive. The marinated shortrib is ridiculously good though, and i would come back just for that. Definitely a great experience for meat lovers, the quality of the cuts really stands out. read more

Made a reservation and was seated fairly quickly upon arrival. They have a small parking lot and you can do valet parking for $4. You must show your vaccination card or a negative result within 72 hours before you get seated. My party ordered combo B which came with soup and ramen. The food came out fairly quickly and our server came and started cooking for us. Our server seem like she was rushed because she was cooking very quickly (the restaurant wasn't super busy at the time). I felt rushed the entire time I was eating there because she was cooking one meat after another. There was no break whatsoever. We have to eat as fast as she cooks or else the meat would be burnt. For the price we were paying, I was expecting to be able to enjoy it and have a great time with my friends. Instead, I find us shoving down meats and felt like a race which is why I took off 1 star. So my good friend, whos also a yelp elite for as long as yelp elites have been around. Who has also no doubt tried all the korean bbq spots in k-town, swears that this is the best korean spot in all of k-town. So a group of 6 came here on a wednesday night. And to my surprise this place is packed, good thing we made reservations. They converted their parking lot into a make shift eating area using a tent/tarp area. And its much easier just to valet then finding a parking spot in downtown. They dont have an all you can eat menu, but rather different options with pre select meat that you choose from, as well as an a la cart menu. So depending on the size of you're group, you just order several option plans. What's cool about this place is that they cook the meat for you. So as they are going between tables, they add meat to the grill as well as turn them and put them on a serving plate for you to pass around. Which I've never seen before, I'm more use to cooking it myself, felt all bougie. Quality is excellent. Good selection of meats. Good amount of sides as well. I dont know what the meats are called, because I forgot what we ordered. But it was cooked well, a little on the well done part, would've preferred it to be cooked medium rare. Tender still though for the most part. Flavors were so so, nothing over the top amazing. My biggest problem with this place is the pricing vs quantity. For the prices that we payed I would've expected either A) more food or B) even better quality. Because after all the food was consumed, I didnt feel hungry, but I definitely could've had several more dishes. It was good. But I dont know if it was 5 start good. You can tell they are busy especially when the place is packed! The meat quality is pretty good but they don't have the fancy vents for the smoke so if your eyes are super sensitive maybe order the other items on the menu. The parking lot is small & valet. The things that I liked about the restaurant that aren't even food related are they don't have a time limit and they take reservations. Most places don't take reservations anymore and they have a 90 minute limit. We will be coming back. read more

We got here early and just waited in the car. One of the workers came out and apologized and let us know they open in 10 mins. They checked our vax cards upon entering. We came in and we're seated immediately. The service was great and prompted. We ordered and were brought water, utensils, salad almost immediately. We ordered combo A, pork jowl (so tender), and beef tartare bibimbap. The food came out quickly. Our server came and started cooking for us but the store got immediately busy. We told him (Kay?) we would cool ourselves because he would probably be really busy and he politely said it's no problem and he will keep helping. The food was plenty and also very tender; the meat had a nice marble and was so good. The beef tartare bibimbap's meat was slightly frozen but once it thawed, absorbed the sauce so well and was delicious. The other server was an older woman (Mrs. Kim?) and was also super friendly. She noticed our BTS gear and asked us about the concert the night before which she also attended. We continued to talk about our favorite songs and how amazing the concert was. This place has one of THE most tender meats out of all the Korean BBQs in Ktown. Quickly became addicted after my first time...and went back several more times in the recent months! So they have preset combo plates for you to pick from. Normally we go as parties of 3 so we pick Combo B ($96) and feeds 2-3. Portion is perf because you still get banchans, steamed egg, salad, either a rice soup or ramen on top of your platter of meat. The meats include: Kobe boneless short rib, premium short rib, skirt steak, filet mignon, marinated short ribs or tongue, kobe brisket, & pork belly. To be honest, I don't know what the heck I'm eating most of the time, BUT I'm guessing they cook the meat according to the sequence on the menu....the tastier cuts seem to get cooked first. My favs are the first 2....ugh...so good...so juicy. I'm pretty picky with my meats but those two keep me begging for more. The meat quality is just unbeatable. Normally they come by and cook for you but sometimes they get busy and your meat starts...sizzling...then charring....don't wait! Pick up those tongs! Service is hit or miss~ PARKING: Its a B because you won't find any around that neighborhood. Valet it right outside on their curb. My friends and I were drawn to Koreatown's Ten-Raku after reading a recent article that featured it on Eater. Admittedly, I had never heard of this restaurant before, but I was excited to see what it was all about. Korean BBQ is always a delicious and fun experience, so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday night (8/15/20) for dinner. First off, I would recommend making reservations. It might not be needed, but the restaurant was definitely at full capacity when we arrived. We were able to make same day reservations just a few hours before arrival. Parking can be somewhat difficult, but try exploring the nearby neighborhood. We were able to find free street parking only a block or two away. The food itself was pretty good. We ordered a beef combo and were happy with each of the cuts. This is definitely a step up from the all-you-can-eat places, and the prices appropriately reflect the quality. Service was generally good, though admittedly, it did not feel like the safest set-up considering the pandemic. The ambiance was fun, and overall, Ten-Raku did not disappoint. read more

Decided to explore a Korean bbq spot in K-town, in Downtown Los Angeles during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a brief moment in time when Gavin Newsom and Eric Garcetti opened indoor dining, and we decided to try it out! Although this place is closed again now, the staff were warm, welcoming, friendly, and most importantly were masked and gloved up! There was sanitizer available at the table and the chopsticks and soy sauce were the takeout variety (in paper wrap and packets of sauce). The appetizers were plentiful, and were constantly replaced. No complaints there, in fact, they were all scrumptious and the staff had no issues refilling our favorites. The meats were all great, and the staff helped cook and cut throughout, which really streamlined the dinner process! Would definitely return here again soon! read more
