This place is pretty cool. It has a big open area inside with lots of seating and they also have a covered outdoor area. We came here on a weekday for dinner, plenty of parking outside. Ordered all the usual stuff. The ribs are amazing but I was hoping they would be a bit warmer. House and jalapeños sausages are outstanding with good flavor. Chicken is okay. Brisket is good too. Wow I might just move to Texas now that I've discovered this place!! I only got to try their ribs but while standing in line I could seeee how juicy the brisket was... wow... I'll be back for you soon okay? I got half a pound of pork ribs, beans, and the banana pudding. Also got side of onions and pickles (not sure if these were free or not). Half a pound of ribs got me about 4 pieces, which was plenty for me with all the sides. They were amazing. So flavorful, fall of the bone but still had chew, and not dry. I am honestly not sure what else you can ask for in ribs. I really enjoyed their bbq sauce that was tomato based! I'm still getting used to Texas style bbq (liquidy) but the tomato base one was more familiar to me because it has some body to it. A bit tangy and sweet. The beans were very peppery, but I did not find this to be a bad thing at all! My standard for beans is honestly Hunt's, but I am so glad this did not taste anything like it! It is more savory with a little bit of tang, and bacon pieces! Banana pudding is a must to finish this delicious meal! PLEASE GET THE PICKLES. Although they may not look like it, they are crispy!! There is a huge smoker and walk up line to place your meat order. Brisket was amazing, super tender and flavorful. We came close to closing time and was afraid that the meat wouldn't be as good but it was great! All the hot sides were very good but the cold sides I would never get them again. Very bland and didn't taste good, no one in my group liked them. Fried okra and sausage were good. The pork ribs were terrible. I ordered 1/2 lbs and got 4 bones. 2 bones were just that, bones. Had little to no meat on them and the meat that was on them was burnt. Inedible. The other 2 were fatty and not tasty at all. I am a Texas native (Austin) and I hold BBQ to a very high standard and it's unfortunate that this place has twice been disappointing. WOW! 1st visit was back in 2017. I guess 14 miles from our house keeps us away far too long. So back we came and it was great. Got lots of leftovers. You have to be really hungry to get more than 1/2 lb serving of meat. Especially if you get any side dishes. In the area and went here on a recommendation from our local office. Nice friendly and clean atmosphere with plenty of seating. Was hoping to get the beef rib, but unfortunately I was there in a Thursday and they only carry it on Saturdays. Ordered the brisket point, key lime pie and some bacon wrapped jalapeños that they call torpedoes. Brisket was pretty good, but not super moist. Granted it was near the end of the day, so maybe it had dried out a bit. I prefer Lockhart's and Pecan Lodge to here. The jalapeños were just ok... a bit too salty. Key lime pie was also just ok. The filling and whipped cream frosting was pretty good, but the crust tasted a bit floury or undercooked, it sure, but did t eat the crust after the first couple of bites. They seem to serve by the half pound here (as opposed to a fraction of a half pound) which made it a bit expensive. When I ordered a half pound it looked a bit light so I asked for just a bit more and basically cut another half pound (basically doubling the cost) so the bill for everything including tip and mineral water was $52 for one person. I did however leftovers which made for a tasty snack the next day! Definitely a nice place to go for bbq and one to keep on my list. read more

I have not been back to Ten50 BBQ in years and decided today I really wanted to have some great BBQ, eat somewhere different, and sit down and have a beer at a bar. I usually swing by Spring Creek BBQ for pick up but didn't want to be around a bunch of loud kids today during a dine-in meal. I fully expected to pay top dollar at Ten50 BBQ so that was no big deal. I walked up to the meats area outside, took in the wonderful aroma of the smoked meats and chose a 1/2 pound of ribs (1/4 pound for dining and 1/4 pound for home), 1/4 pound sausage for home, 1/4 pound brisket for dining and home, baked beans and lots of House BBQ for $35. I sat down at the bar to eat and got a mug of honey beer. I forget the name but it was fantastic and it had the perfect balance of flavor to go with my meal. The nice thing about Ten50 is that the place is HUGE and you can always find a spot away from noisy groups. A 1/4 pound of ribs, a few small slices of brisket with lots of sauce and a side of their amazing baked beans made for a delicious meal and I have enough left over for another meal at home. Ten50 still does not disappoint but don't complain if you think you spent too much. For the quality meats and sides (which you can sample first) you're going to spend a lot, but it's totally worth it IMO. Also, don't feel like you are limited to their menu and have to get a 1/2 pound of their meats. Get a 1/4 pound of the ones you want or one rib or whatever and they will price accordingly. As far as the sides go, you can also get samples to taste first. I tried the potato salad but said no and was all in on the baked beans which has bits of meat and an amazing flavor. The only thing that is free is the BBQ sauce, so I loaded up on that. I'm a house BBQ fan as the Carolina BBQ sauce is a bit too vinegary. Great BBQ, ambiance, and beer in Richardson. What more could you ask for? Ten50 continues to delight me for all the right reasons. I feel like I'm in a five star steakhouse but I'm being served BBQ which I'll take over a steak any day. read more

This place is decent it's a definite step up from Spring Creek BBQ and Dickeys. I liked how clean and rustic the place is. I enjoyed the southern vibes. My family and I ordered 3 pounds of beef brisket and a half a chicken. The beef brisket was good and so was the chicken. We ordered a couple of sides such as onion rings, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, fries and a salad. They were all good. For the price you pay it was ridiculous that I had to use a butter knife to cut my $110 meal with. I mean to cut my brisket to use a butter knife was super cheap. I couldn't even cut my meat properly as the butter knife kept slipping . There has to be a steak knife if your charging Fogo De Chao prices. The sides you can order are "bought sight unseen." This is where I have to question the ownership. Who does this? So I order green beans and onion rings. Onion rings are pretty good. Green beans and Cole slaw were substandard. Beans are more of a soup than a bowl of beans. And they only fill a small cup for you. You don't get to see it or serve it to yourself. Come on! Where are we? Boston? Feels like they went over the top on portion control and cost savings. This is Texas. Put out good meat and price it. The patio led us to the area where we ordered meats, in an outdoor covered area. It was busy, but the line was moving quickly. Meats are priced per 1/2 pound. There was a nice variety of meats and they also have baked potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. They have brisket, chicken, pork ribs and sausage. Once you order the meats, you get it on a tray, and go inside to order sides. They have hot and cold sides. The biscuits were really good. My order of okra was shareable. It was brought to me and was piping hot and good. There was plenty of seating outdoors, as well as indoors. There was a nice size bar and an area for private functions. The bar is well stocked.
