Food is meh... we ordered the iron plate sizzling beef -- um... no sizzle? So it's basically Mongolian beef on a hot iron plate for $5 extra. So don't order the iron plate. Dan Dan noodles was sweet and not spicy with a thick peanuty sauce. Not my style of Dan Dan. One star for the clean environment. One star for the lady's smile. Price is slightly higher than most authentic Chinese places. That's all, there are better Chinese restaurant options.

I tried Tenglong for the first time today with some friends and loved it! Not everything we tried is pictured, the green beans and tofu and salt and pepper fish were also yummy. The service was awesome, everyone was very nice. For the amount of food we ordered they served us fairly quick. My favorite dishes were the salt and pepper fish and the dry fried diced chicken. The atmosphere also feels very homey; this is a nice spot to bring friends or family!

Best fried chicken in the city (even Teng long) ! Me and my friends have consistently been coming back for the last few years and is our absolute favorite spot! Their salt and pepper fish is also incredible. Can't recommend this spot enough!

We stop by Tenglong every time we're in the city, hungry or not. Been coming since 2014, and the food never misses. The Dry Fried Chicken Wings are amazing. Get the diced version for boneless pieces. Christina introduced us on to the Cantonese-style Salt and Pepper wings, which are just as good with a milder but satisfying kick. Dinner portions come as 6 huge pieces, perfect for sharing. For family-style dinner we round it out with Beef Chow Fun and Honey Walnut Prawns. Any of their fried rice versions pair well with their wings and shrimp dishes. Also, their dim sum options are nice appetizers. It's a smaller spot with a lot of takeout traffic, so expect a short wait, but the place is so clean and it's always worth it! Christina runs the front and always makes time to talk food and family. If you're open to it, she'll steer you toward something new worth trying. Her energy is a big part of why we keep coming back.

Forget San Tung, head to Tenglong for crispy, sweet, and a little spicy/peppery dry fried chicken with rice Better food, way better ambience, and warm service from the owner Christina. this is my go to cozy spot for a yummy meal in the inner Richmond!

We waited 15 min for appetisers and 40 min for soup and some fried chicken wings... They explain that they had two delivery orders but only after we sat down and put in the order. TBH no one said anything like that because of that our plans are all late.

The Dry Fried Diced Chicken was really good. I came here off a recommendation from a friend and that's what she recommended. The outside is crispy while the inside is juicy, the glaze on it is sweet and sour like orange chicken and the green onions balances it all. I also had the Shrimp Dumplings and the shrimp inside tasted really high quality. The atmosphere inside was very cozy and the waitress served us like we were a part of their family. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

I Ordered to go from her and Christina was very friendly and accommodating. They offer vegan/vegetarian options that were super delicious. I ordered... Tomato beef chow Mein Basil spicy eggplant with meatless chicken Sautéed string beans Sesame chicken Everything was very delicious. The meatless chicken was surprisingly flavorful! The decor inside was also very pleasant while not being overwhelming. I will definitely come back!

Tenglong is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm back in the city. The food and service here is amazing!! I always get the chicken wings whenever I drop by. Their lunch special is perfect too if you're looking for a nice chicken and rice combo with some hot and sour soup. It warms you up perfectly on a cold day. Overall, Tenglong is an amazing place to drop by for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend it to everyone looking to enjoy great food!

We live in Southern California, but we go to SF once a year and every time Tenglong is a must for us. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. Very welcoming and friendly. We enjoy eating there but in the last couple of years we travel with our pup so we do take out and we enjoy the food with views.

My friend and I were looking for a bite for a quick lunch on Clement and I mentioned to him how I was craving Cantonese food since the Cantonese food is much desired where I'm from in Austin and we found this place. I haven't had good chow fun in awhile so this was my most requested item and it did not disappoint. It was well balanced, the noodles did not stick together, just enough meat and vegetables, and of course it had the breath of the wok. We also had tofu and chicken dish which were all tasty as well. We had 3 dishes between the two of us and we finished the plates clean and my friend is also very picky when it comes to Cantonese food so that is also a good sign. We talked to one of the owners as well and she said that cooking Chow Fun is one of the tests they give their chefs. If you are looking for Chinese food on Clement, add this place to your rotation. It's not a fancy banquet style place but if you are looking for a good meal stop here.

While we were waiting for our table, we saw 2-3 couples get turned away. The restaurant is small, but the interior is well-decorated. It pays homage to HK posters, music, and culture. They offer two complimentary small bites of smashed cucumber and peanuts. - XO Escargot: a must order, the dish only comes with 6 pieces but it's so worth it. The sauce is garlicky, buttery, and each bite with the milk bread is so good. The bread also has a crispy outer layer while the inside is super soft. - Eggplant: at first, we thought the dish was good, but the pieces on the bottom that soaks up all the sauce makes the eggplant full of umami flavor. This paired so good with rice. - Mapo Tofu Spaghetti: just as you imagine, but very yummy. I wish there was more of a numbing spice personally! - Black Pepper Steak: The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare and the sauce was very yummy. This dish did not blow me away like some of the others but was still good nonetheless. I really wished we could have try the Singapore Chili Crab, but that would have been too much food. Our server was also fantastic and so kind, I wish I caught her name. Will def be back!

Overall I felt like the food was really overhyped and was a bit disappointed. Maybe we didn't order the standouts others listed. For two people, we got the fried squab (smaller for $35 instead of $45), escargot with milk bread, the ginger hainan chicken, eggplant, and the mapo spaghetti. Out of these dishes, my favorite was the eggplant, which was very flavorful and on point. I was most excited to try the escargot which was good and a bit spicy as well. The mapo spaghetti was a bit too spicy. I enjoyed the cozy vibe, the HK decor and old canto hits. Service was very friendly and attentive as well.

I do remember that I absolutely loved the Peking duck. They came with very thin, I can only describe it as tortilla crêpe things that you would put it in. I love this so much better than the standard buns. I also loved the fried string beans. It was tempura fried and very light. It didn't taste greasy at all. Out of three places we went to dinner for work, this was my favorite by far. It is right in Ghirardelli Square so there's a lot of things you can walk around and do either before or after. Service was great. They were very attentive. The restaurant itself was very open and lit well. They had us in a back area so it was easy to chat with my coworkers. There wasn't a single dish I didn't like so I would highly recommend coming here.
