Good news and great news! We recently had our house painted and the porch floor is now a light color instead of a dark color. I purchased the contract with the warranty, and about 2-3 months after their service, I noticed some "bugs" which I identified as swarming termites. We had termites in the roof (live white worms inside timbers, discovered during house painting) and in the sub-floor crawlspace. I got 3 estimates from termite companies, Termite Pro was the most competitive and comprehensive. They were on time for every appointment, Vlad and Lisa explained in great detail what they would do and what we needed to prepare. Tenting crew arrived on the early side of the time window and had the entire house prepped and tented efficiently. The lead guy was experienced and explained the process clearly. After 2 days the tent came down and another crew arrived (early/on time) to do the ground treatment both in the sub-basement and perimeter of the house. Best termite work ever!! Vald come out to see what my issues were, mapped out the areas of concern, and we discussed that I was interested in his company because of the type of work they could do. I have an immune compromised granddaughter, so I am very careful of what she i exposed to. When the two gentlemen came out to do the work, they were so nice as we walked through the areas of concern, and they added some areas to the service since I was able to move some things out of the way. They were so professional and courteous the entire time and I told them I didn't even hear much of them doing all the work. Everything they treated was cleaned up perfect. Termite Pro came out to a property I just moved into for an inspection. With having recently spotted a swarm outside and seeing a few discarded wings by my window I was concerned that there was a growing termite issue that the inspector missed during escrow. Vlad came out and was knowledgable, friendly and honest. He let me know that I didn't have a termite issue and that the inspection company I used was reputable. I spoke with a different pest extermination company and that technician seemed to have exaggerated the presence of termites in my yard, unlike Termite Pro who was upfront and realistic about the termites. Trying to find good contractors in the greater Los Angeles area as been brutal these last years. Many vendors have taken advantage of worker shortages and supply chain issues to not only raise prices but also have customers fight to actually get service. And some do it with shocking attitude, making it clear that you must kiss their ass or you're history. My condo had a termite intrusion that emerged during the escrow inspection. I had to have it fixed fast which meant a recipe for pricey disaster in this market. And who knew if the vendor would show up when promised? This is why YELP exists. To deliver a best guess. Termite Pro picked up the phone, didn't have any attitude, set up appointments, didn't try to talk us up -- everything ran without a hitch. The gentlemen were polite, spoke English and actually cleaned up after themselves. (Many contractors believe that's someone else's job.) I didn't love the price but then, these days, everyone seems rather inflated. And not just because inflation. But I didn't have the time to comparison shop and so put Termite Pro on your list people. After the general contractor I hired to do work on the house noticed termite damage in the backyard lattice and pergola, I immediately logged on to Yelp to find the best termite killers in the business. Lo and behold, I found Termite Pro to only five star reviews for every customer and gave them a call. Vlad and Jose came over to the house and asked permission to look into the attic, under the house, and all the window sills as well as the backyard pergola, lattice and the dead apricot tree. Once the free inspection was completed, both Vlad and Jose explained the house suffered two different types of termites and the subterranean had started eating at the wood paneling of the den (active), droppings in the attic, excessive droppings on the apricot tree, pergola, lattice as well as under the house along with.... fungus (both black and white)! Yuck! I was offered two options: 1) tent the house, double bag all the food and be gone for four days or 2) spray and inject infected wood in the attic, under the house, all window sills as well as the pergola and lattice in the backyard. I felt the price was reasonable for the second option because I wasn't comfortable with leaving the house filled with toxins added with extra expense of a hotel with its fees. Option number 2 was selected. The morning of the treatment I received a text from Arthur that Termite Pro was on the way and they were punctual and prepared. Arthur asked if I wanted the attic sprayed last or first and I chose first. It took Arthur about 10 minutes to spray the attic and next he went to the den where he injected the wood paneling and under the window sil and carefully pasted up the holes and cleaned up the area. Thank you. Carlos, arrived just in time to help finish the job. Arthur went under the house to spray while Carlos stayed outside the house spraying all the window sils, door sils, pergola, lattice and anything else that showed termite damage. Both Arthur and Carlos were thorough and efficient to cover every area where wood was exposed including the cedar shingle siding! When the job was completed, Arthur reiterated that I had a two-year warranty for the work completed, which included the spraying of the fungicide to kill both the black and white fungus, and, if any termites were to return, call them and Termite Pro will retreat any areas necessary. At the end of the meeting, as I was about to hand over the check to Arthur after signing the contract, Arthur casually mentioned "there were bugs under the house" and he sprayed them. (What a gentlemen to quietly slip that phrase in as to not embarass me in front of the neighbors!) FYI - The spot and spray treatment cost us $1760 for a 1320 sq. ft. house as well as the pergola and lattice in the backyard and a fascia panel on the garage. Reasonable and fair. Vlad and Jose are friendly and honest. Good businessmen. Carlos was efficient, friendly, and detail-oriented. Arthur was fast, efficient, honest, thorough, detail-oriented and classy. Vlad came to my house to inspect the winged bugs I found in my kitchen sink. He looked at the photos I took and determined those are not subterranean termites. I told Vlad that two other termite inspectors (including Terminix) had determined those are subterranean termites that need liquid injection or baiting system treatment and given me their service quotes. He sent a photo to his partner. Both still stick to his conclusion that those bugs are not termites. Clad even refused my invitation for him to give me a subterranean termite liquid injection quote like the other two contractors did because he does not believe our house needs such service. We've been living in our house for about a year and a half when we recently started to notice what we thought were termite droppings. I called Termite Pro and Vlad came out to do an inspection. He confirmed what we were finding were droppings and that there was damage in some areas. I mentioned to him that we bought the house recently but we weren't sure if fumigation was done beforehand. Because of this he asked when we bought and realized that if it was done then there is a usual 2 year warranty that we might still be under. I was able to show him some old paperwork that we had and he confirmed that it was done and that we should be under warranty. We realized we had a termite issue after finding evidence of droppings in our garage. I reached out to several companies to schedule an inspection--Termite Pro was the first company to respond to my request and was able to fit us in the following day. All other top-rated companies were weeks out for appointments. Vlad came out and did a thorough examination of the property, including the crawl space below the house. He found evidence of termites all around the exterior, some places inside and also underground and shared pictures he took with me. He recommended we fumigate the house and then treat the ground after. Since it was the end of summer and our chances to schedule the tenting would be months later once school started up, we asked if he could schedule it within the same week. He said he normally needs at least a week or more to schedule the tenting, but he told us he would try. He followed up the next day and said we were good to go. He gave us instructions to prepare, dropped off the plastic bags for our food and let us know the day before when we could expect the company to arrive and start the tenting. Everything went smoothly. The next day after we came back, Termite Pro arrived to treat the underground termites all around the property and under the house. Couldn't have had a better experience with the service but only time will tell if our termite problem is truly gone. I'm comfortable knowing there's a two-year warranty, so if termites come back before then, they'll retreat the property again for free. From what I've read online, we should expect the treatment to last at least four years. I'll try to follow up on this review again if that's not the case. read more
