    Blueberry margarita
    Katie T.

Testa's gets a solid 4! We came here on Mother's Day and the place was quite empty. We got the blueberry margarita and I could have had about 10 of those. Yum!! Super flavorful and a generous pour. I got the rib eye tacos and my husband got the haddock ones. We both liked the haddock better. The rib eye was chewy and kind of a weird choice for a taco. The view is nice. The service was nothing to write home about.

    Maine blueberry berries!

Come see Lexi! She is super friendly and ready to mix a great drink. We stopped for a refreshment during our stroll through Bar Harbor. Testa's hit the spot!

Great spot in downtown bar harbor. Beautiful inside with chery paneling and cool vibe. Service was quick and fiendly. They have an excellent selection of wines encompassing spain, France Austria , USA etc. the wife had the lobster diner. I had the fish tacos which were also excellent. The haddock is perfectly grilled and blacked and it's served with pineapple, blueberries an aioli and a second sauce. The combo was a delight of flavors and textures. One of the best fish tacos I have tasted. Ended with the crème brûlée excellent also

This place has a really good breakfast and quick service. My husband and I have enjoyed this spot every time we try it; it's in a great location right downtown and a few steps from the park. This is a great little spot for a quick bite before you get on the trolley or do whale watching. I've had lobster benedict and lobster oscar here, and both are delicious. Most recent visit was lobster oscar with asparagus and potatoes. So good! My husband had the western omelette, which he also enjoyed a lot. This spot is worth a stop!

Crazy expensive. We were seated right away during lunch hour no wait. Food was good but very pricey. Oysters Rockefeller was $22 for 4 pcs. Service was straightforward.

Came here to try the steamers as was told had to have steamers in New England. I don't think I'm a steamers person, would have much preferred them fried! Lol. Nice restaurant, more of a fancy atmosphere going on compared to other BH restaurants we ate at. Clam chowder was good, felt it was missing a little bit of seasoning and bit too thick. Had the blueberry brûlée for dessert which was very good better than the pie I had tried elsewhere. Good French fries.

Perfectly cooked medium rare ribeye and veggies. My wife ordered the seafood Alfredo and it was very good and loaded with fresh seafood. Atmosphere was cozy and warm as we enjoyed dinner next to the large windows looking out at a rainy evening.

Food was ok and the steak and lobster was good I ate with a group and just went by what others around me said price is fair for the area

The beautiful flowers baskets by the windows got my attention. I ordered the blackened Fish Tacos which were so flavorful and delicious! We also ordered the Lobster Roll and my friend said it was really good. We had the window seats overlooking the harbor. Service was great!

Best meal we had in Bar Harbor. The food here is something else. We ordered the lobster boil, lobster tacos, and haddock tacos. The fish tacos came with blueberry pineapple salsa which was delicious. If you like quality seafood, you'll like this place. The service was great as well. Check it out for yourself!

Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat. It was a motivating factor to visit the establishment, enjoy a lovely meal in a lovely town, and tip heavily. You claim to be a culinary source of authority. I think it's great that you own a Subway franchise in New York City, but I might hesitate from throwing around the word 'chef' too haughtily. I mean just because one wears a cowboy hat does not mean one owns cattle, am I right? Perhaps there were dishes on the menu that one could argue were overengineered, but they tasted great! And consider that you have no idea where in the culinary journey their chef is, nor what the market needs or will bear in Bar Harbor. The place was packed. Service was great. Food was divine! On a Tuesday night. Maybe next time you visit a restaurant, leave your Michelin yardstick in the trunk of your broomstick, and simply relax. Or possibly return to Bar Harbor Bicycle Shop, another establishment you experienced through your Vantablack-colored glasses and blew up on this site. I'm sure they would zealously rent you another bike if you promised to venture into Acadia and get lost. Cheers!

The view? Lovely. The vibe? A little... off. The place has that "it could be nice if someone cared just a bit more" feel -- not bad, just lacking that spark (or maybe a good interior refresh). My husband, on his noble quest to sample every lobster bisque in Maine, declared this one the worst of the trip -- and trust me, the man takes bisque seriously. My beet salad with picked lobster was actually quite good, fresh and nicely balanced, which saved the meal from total disappointment. Service matched the décor -- polite enough but not exactly engaged. It had that subtle "we're doing you a favor" energy, which really pairs best with... no one's martini. Speaking of which, I had to remind our server to actually add the olives to mine. Small details, big impact, friends. In conclusion: go for the view, not the vibe. There's potential here, but it needs a little love -- and a lot more attention to the bisque.
