We are frequent visitors to other Brazilian steakhouses and wanted to give this place a try. Honestly, we weren't too impressed. While the food was good, it didn't quite feel worth the price point. Service was mediocre -- we weren't even sure who our server was, as a different staff member approached us each time. You'd think that would lead to more consistent service, but it actually made things feel more disorganized. We had our cards flipped to green for most of the time but struggled to get anyone to come by until we spoke up. The same went for drink refills; nothing happened unless we asked. Overall, it was an okay experience, but we likely won't be back anytime soon. read more

I must begin this review with an apology to the business owner for my failing to leave a review, as I promised I would, subsequent to our first visit to TG Steakhouse (TG) a few months back. For that failure, I do sincerely apologize! We most recently visit TG the weekend after Father's Day weekend, because I was out of town and not able to celebrate on the actual day of the holiday. Anyhoo, our party of four consisted of myself, my wife and our two adult children. It was our son's first visit. Whether your visit to TG will be an experimental dining at a Brazilian steakhouse, or you're familiar with the green/red, on/off "bring on the meats!" placard system, you will be impressed by this quaint little restaurant, with its relatively laid back, welcoming family feel. After this, only my second visit, I have concluded TG is officially my favorite place to dine out! Compared to the big, more recognizable Brazilian steakhouses out there, the cold salad bar at TG is quite small, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in flavor! I mean, I cannot tell you in audible words how delicious the potato salad is! And here's a hint to level-it-up even; eat every bite of the potato salad with one or two of the tiny red peppers you'll find drowning in oil adjacent to the cold salad bar. Them dang things are DELICIOUS!! In fact, just go ahead and add one or two to EVERY bite of EVERY thing you put in your mouth at TG! You can thank me later! The warm side dishes and specialties bar is truthfully unparalleled! Eating from it, I'm impressed that a couple of the dishes on it are secret family recipes, they're that good! The only thing I tasted that was just a little lackluster was the fried Tilapia. That said, however, I'm not that much on eating fish when I go to a Brazilian steakhouse. To each their own and perhaps if someone who is reports on it, they will rave about it; the Tilapia. Everything at TG was presented perfectly, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and at the appropriate temperature. Everything about TG is just perfect in my mind, and for the record... my stomach agrees! My favorite meats at TG are the cheesy-crusted chicken (OMG!), the flank steak, the garlic seasoned beef, the top sirloin, the... oh heck! Just eat some of everything. It's ALL good!! Oh! And, I 'almost' forgot... Just when you're about to resign and decline further meat service, somebody's gonna show up at your table with roasted pineapple that's been seasoned with cinnamon. Unless you're allergic to pineapple, I strongly advise against refusing it. It's so yummy and perfect for topping off the meal, just before a parting cup of coffee or cappuccino. The staff at TG is exceptional, very patient and un-intimidating. The drinks are free of any off-putting tastes like chlorine or slime (from the ice machine or dispenser). The restaurant is clean, as are the restrooms, and you know what they say about restroom and kitchen relationships and cleanliness. If you don't, Google it! My recommendation, if you decide to give TG a try - and you REALLY 'should' give TG a try - is to eat a light breakfast, a light lunch... you know, just enough to get your tummy a little prepared for the "stretch." Then, bring your heartiest appetite and prepare yourself for the ever-sought after MEEEAT COMAAA! Whether you're a well-seasoned (pun intended) veteran of Brazilian steakhouse dining or this visit will be your first outing, you will NOT be disappointed at TG Steakhouse! Give it a go! Eat well. TG Steakhouse is amazing. The service is almost aggressively attentive and the servers are also very friendly. The food is next level. The salad bar is always fresh and everything is delicious. The meat is high quality, well flavored, and cooked perfectly. I love the variety. Parking is sufficient, we always find a close spot. When dinning in, you get unlimited access to the salad bar and the servers also move around the room with selections of meats. You choose what you want to try and they slice you off a piece. This is also unlimited. It's a great, fun experience and an amazing value overall. I've also ordered food for pickup and the quality stands up. Highly recommend. You have to try the grilled pineapple. You might even be able to get away with bringing vegetarian friends here just for the salad bar and grilled pineapple. read more

Do not recommend, horrible service. I constantly had to get a hold of a server to get me some type of meat even with my card on green. Over priced as well, I recommend just going to other well know Brazilian steak houses like fogo de chao, Texas de Brazil and villa brasil. I also made an online order once and was charged for it but as soon as I placed the order it was "cancelled". Once again I was charged for it and never received a refund even after making a claim. Attended a family party here and the food was delicious. There salad bar had a ton of options some that I remember were rice pilaf, black beans and had some fish they we're all really tasty. My fav meat brought out was there spicy beef! Whatever the dry rub they use it was super flavorful and the heat was so good! Reason for 4 stars is the provide canned sodas and of course you have to pay for extras other than that this place is totally worth another visit reasonable prices compared to the higher Brazilian places read more

Came here to celebrate my 2 year anniversary, Absolutely AMAZING! The Top Sirloin and Picanha are a must. If you know your cuts of meat you'll love this spot. My boyfriend doesnt have such a refined palette and argued some of the meats taste the same. That is because they're brushed with the same butter before grilled. However, they do not all taste the same. If you know.. you know! The Grilled Pineapple... DELICIOUS! I think I ate half a pineapple, it went so well with my Caipirinha. The salad bar is really good too. Do not leave without trying their cheese bread balls, rice, beans and roasted meat (we call it ropa vieja in Miami) I dont know what it's called there. Five Stars because the service was incredible. Overview: First we were 30 mins late for our reservation because of an accident on the freeway. We called to update them and they were ok with this. When I got there I saw that our lateness could have really thrown them off because they are appropriately social distancing and have fewer tables. Either way they accommodated us with no issue and I appreciated that. Food: Salad bar had a great variety and enough to film up on if you don't want to order meat. My companion loved the chicken salad so I guess that is highly recommended. I enjoyed a chicken dish from the salad bar. The meats were hot and crispy and came at a great clip. We could only do maybe 2 rounds before we were too full. Drinks: I ordered the Brazilian limeade. It was excellent. The cocktails were also appropriately strong and flavorful. Service: Fast, polite, exceptional Wrap up/Pricing: For two of us we paid a little over $100 for dinner which included 5 drinks (4 cocktails). If you know anything about Brazilian steakhouses you know this could have easily added up to $200 or more. I'm very pleased with this experience. read more

I don't understand the other comments about the salad bar, it was well stocked and had way more to offer than just salad. The prices here compared to the bigger places are the best part. Where to start. This place us awesome. The beef is fantastic, the staff is fantastic, the flan is fantastic, the parmesan chicken is fantastic and the lemon pepper chick hearts are something I never would have expected to like, much less love. My wife and I go around the area trying the different brazillian places. We always end up coming back to this one. I understand the professionalism of these type of places, but every single person here makes us feel like family. True, we do eat here several times a month, but every time us is splendid. It just keeps being something special. I mentioned chicken hearts. They are crazy good. The right texture, the right seasoning, and perfectly done. Really unusual at first, but I always get them now. So tasty. The bottom sirloin is probably my favorite cut of meat, for flavor. The parmesan chicken is a great combination of natural flavor and seasoning. The picanha is always tasty. Sausage is great, but not my fave. They have spicy beef that actually has some spice to it. The garlic beef is tasty. I dont eat lamb often at all so I dont know what it tastes like other than here, and here it is really good. The flan. Oh man, the flan. So smooth and unlike flan I have had at other places. It is the best flan I have ever had. As you can probably tell, I really like this place. The fact that my wife loves to come here speaks volumes about the place. It probably makes a huge difference on what day you go. We went on a Sunday cause we got a flyer in the mail. After waiting an hour to be seated at the table everything started out well servers came around regularly with meat choices. At first I was initial impressed and thought I found a new restaurant I would love. Then we started to notice the slow down in anyone bringing food to our table as if they were ready for us too leave. It took almost 15min to get refills and order dessert. Then the check arrives in which they added $70 tip to the tab due to us having 4 adults & 2 kids. Ok no problem I try to give the coupon that was mailed to us and waiter says they are not accepting those today. Poor decision on restaurant cause would have made more accepting the coupon cause we would have left extra tip. It is sad that they could have added new customers but after feeling like they just wanted or money and wanted us out we will not return!!! read more

My GF and I are flirting with dieting as we are both heavier than we've ever been before with some lab results par for the course. It was also bonus celebration time. I initially said lets go to TDB which is my normal Brazilian Steak House - but then I did some googling, saw a little cash could be saved - and more than anything - was curious. Without writing a novel - here are the bullet points: - the salad bar is small - not tiny - but maybe sorta like a Steak and Ale type salad bar - but with a few proteins added (beans, rice, emanadas (!!!!!), and a few other "not normal" items) -- all of the salad bar items were fresh and all tasty. - the atmosphere is small - and based on these folks being in a strip center - that is understandable. Even so it felt warm, cozy, and sorta "homey" .. I could easily see not only going there for dinner - but hanging out and watching football/soccer/baseball and getting hammered after eating. I would be willing to bet in the evenings the bar is fun... - the people... the people were ALL super cool - just like a TDB.. not in a hurry, nobody was whining about you not having your little "refill" card turned the wrong way - all very friendly - and all seemed legit from Brazil or somewhere at least that wasnt NTX. - The Meats - I mean this is what its mostly about right? When I go to TDB or FDC I mainly eat the picana - this place had it - and it was good. My first thought was "its not NEARLY as salty" as other places - something that I have heard is supposed to cause you to fill up quicker by drinking more, thus saving the place money - whether thats true or not I dont know. The picana was what I would call a "3" with TDB being a 5. It was completely edible - even GOOD - it just seemed like maybe the sourcing was a little lower rent than whereever TDB sources from. I did have to spit out a few balls of sinew that I could not chew .... Once again - it WAS GOOD - but TDB kinda sets the bar high... We tried bottom steak, and I think there was some sirloin or skirt.. I tried the sausage (FANTASTIC!!!!) and we both had one of the brazilian margarita type drinks which was also FANTASTIC!!!! I saw no chicken, I saw no ribs, and certainly nothing from the sea. That being said - I bet they have more variety on weekends when they know the crowd will be larger and they wont be throwing steak away at the end of the night. - The Icing on an already Decent Cake ----- Whatever you do - DO NOT SAY NO WHEN THEY BRING THE PINEAPPLE AROUND. I could have sat and ate my weight in that stuff alone. It was a masterpiece even though I'm sure super simple to recreate at home. And finally - the cheesey bread was GREAT - not TDB great - but I think we've already determined that we are talking about a level or two down from TDB. Ticket with a guarana, 2 buffets, and 3 of the mixed drinks was something like $106.. Probably 30 bucks less than TDB. All in all I suggest you visit.. Richardson has some really hole in the wall places that end up being so much better than you would expect - I think this place fits in that category... We left with smiles on our faces and I think thats really what matters - yea? read more
