This is probably the most authentic Thai spot in San Antonio. Myself and my husband stopped by for a late lunch on Saturday because we saw khao soi on their menu. This northern Thai dish is amazing but is pretty hard to find on menus in the states. Don't let the exterior of this place deter you (its a bit rough), the inside isn't bad at all. We ordered the grilled chicken skewers and egg rolls for apps. The grilled chicken was perfect and had an amazing lemongrass dipping sauce. The egg rolls were nice and crispy. For entrees we both ordered the khao soi of course. Overall it was delicious and we really enjoyed it however, the noodles were too thin for khao soi and I wish it was spicier. I made what I thought was a simple order. I texted their number and made my order. They told me 30 minutes and it would be ready. At 30 minutes they sent me a link to pay. I came after to pick up the food. They told me they were waiting on the pad Thai and would be 10. Then when I come back. They told me they hadn't even started on my order because I hadn't paid. There were several other customers who had messed up orders. Stay away from this place. They don't know what they are doing. Doesn't matter how the food tastes when it takes 2 hours to get your food and they jerk you around. And their food...the main seasoning is msg and salt. Not flavorful, just way too salty. Used some noodles that were not correct for the pad Thai and the sauce was some kind of sweet and sour, not at all what any other place uses. read more

I just ordered the Tom Kah soup and Pad Thai, both "Thai Hot" and both didn't disappoint! The TomKah soup was AMAZING, was spicy enough to clear my sinuses but make me want to keep coming back for more- that being said I'm sure some ppl would want it spicier, but was exactly what I wanted. The portion size was insane, there's no way I could finish that much Pad Thai, t'was the lunch special too so I got a couple spring rolls to enjoy on top of what's pictured. My only complaint was that they didn't give lime wedges for the noodles, but luckily I had one on hand at home. I'm visiting from San Diego. I eat Thai all the time at home, so trying this out. This place has good food and huge portions. Like extremely huge portions, too much for one person so family style it or plan for 2 meals. Good flavor with a slight Texas touch. 5 stars for flavor and service. Cons (why it lost 2 stars): Cleanliness was not a priority. The ceiling fan had tons of dust. The toilet didn't flush, the soap dispenser in the bathroom almost touched the sink, the toilet paper was very low to the ground. The restaurant floor was dirty, even when it was 1/4 full. The service was top notch. recently we decided to come from kyle tx to eat here again, i was a comforting restaurant for my wife and I that we were both fond of. however the quality of service went down. The service was horrible. The waitress was eating chicken wings with her fingers and licking her fingers in front of us then serving us our food. My all time favorite Thai food ever! Seriously. I might've given 5 stars to other Thai places but I want to give 100 to Thai Dee! First of all, the food is super affordable. There's not one dish that I've ordered that I haven't absolutely fallen in love with. Their khao soi is dead on for the khao soi you can get in northern Thailand. I honestly didn't think I'd find that here. Absolutely freaking amazing! Just recently I tried the spicy rice with shrimp, chicken and beef; it's now one of my favorites! The pad Thai is to die for! Basically, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Only problem is that the place is packed all day everyday and they share a parking lot with a convenient store so you're probably going to have to park across the street. It's not far, and I promise you, the food is worth it! The service is always amazing as well! read more

There were six of us, our meals were not served all at once but all meals were served within about two minutes of each. This just caught me off guard. We are trying to find a few solid Thai places to keep on our go to list and Thai Dee just made it. It's truly a "hole in the wall" kind of place but friendly, clean and they know what they are doing. We were eating light so we shared a vegetable soup and a basil fried rice and some jasmine tea. I've had a few Thai soups and this one was easily one of the best. So flavorful and fresh. The vegetables were great. The rice dish included chicken for the protein and was also flavorful and cooked just right. Each dish was more than enough food and served piping hot. It's a very small restaurant next to a corner store. But we went with a friend who swears by this place and had said that every dish is delicious. Also to mention the place is byob so bring a bottle of red or a nice cold 6 pack with you! For starters we got the MooPing. To me the star of the plate was the Thai sauce and sticky rice that came with the pork sticks. The sauce had just the right amount of acid to counter balanced the spicy. I caught myself dipping the sticky rice into the sauce, instead of the pork slices. For entrees we got Beef Salad, Green Curry, Pad See Ewe. The portions were huge and good for sharing! Beef salad was so good! If you like dishes that are light, but packed with flavor I would recommend the beef salad! Green curry was delicious and aromatic, and had all the authentic flavors you want in a green curry! The Pad see ewe was okay, wish the noodles weren't over cooked. Apparently they just recently opened up for dinning in. Pre covid, it is said that this place gets packed. They are also closed on Sunday and close at 8 PM on Monday- Saturday, so I would say go with time. We went on a Saturday evening, almost 2 hours before closing time and felt rushed to order, eat, and leave. read more

Really good authentic Thai Cuisine! I love spicy food and the food was on point. They also have non spicy options as well and the menu has alot of options. The menu had Thai Salads, Thai Fried Rice, Thai Noodles, Entrees, Soups, Curry and Fish. Friendly service and staff. The atmosphere was loud during visit due to being busy and the restaurant was small with limited tables. Not enough staff for volume and small parking lot.
