This is really good fast restaurant quality food. We had the Tom Ka, Pad Thai, and #18 noodle soup. Each meal comes with a short glass of Thai iced tea. We went back for a refill. Fyi - The thai tea is a bit watered down. It's not pungent in tea flavor nor very sweet. The staff were very friendly for a fast food style establishment. Tom Ka- great flavor, generous amounts of chicken and veggies (straw mushrooms, button mushroom, baby corn), garnished with cilantro. Small bowl is equivalent to two small bowls you'd get at a restaurant. #18 noodle soup resembled pho. The broth was very good, GENEROUS amounts of pho type noodles, and plenty of garlic chives. At first, my mom was doubting me when I told her Yelpers said there would be free Thai tea. After ordering, we went to get nuoc mia and came back and sat for a while. Lo and behold, when the free soup came, so did the most coveted cup of Thai tea! I guzzled the stuff. I love me any combination of milk and tea. What happened Thai lovers? Last time I ordered pad thai, it was so dry and lack of flavor than it used to be but I let it passed. This is my go to Thai food place whenever I crave for thai food. Tonight, we ordered pad thai, chicken satay, and panang curry. The Pad thai was so dry and not saucey and flavorful than it used to be. The chicken panang curry was so bland to the point where I had to add sugar and salt to add some flavor to it and the soup was too watery rather than a being a bit thick. The worst of all was the chicken satay, it was so dry, no flavor and it seems like it was frozen that got defrosted and then microwaved or smthing. Never coming back here anymore! This little restaurant is located in the Grand Century Mall and it's very quaint but lively. This whole shopping center in general is reminiscent of Vietnamese culture, so it brought back very fond memories. To start, the restaurant only accepts cash, so make sure you have bills on you before coming! A $10 bill should suffice as most of their dishes are around $8. The menu covers the wall located right next to the register. The wall lists the name of the dishes, prices, and even has pictures of the food! The pictures are fairly large, so no need to squint! This has to be one of the most helpful menus I've come across! After ordering, you can sit at the numerous tables nearby to await your order! If you ordered to-go, they'll call out your order when it's ready! However, my friend and I decided to eat on the spot, so one of the employees brought us our food when it was ready. Just a side note, the customer service here is really great! The employees are the sweetest and always have a smile on their faces! It really makes the experience all the better. This was one of my favorite Thai restaurants before, mostly because it's a bang for your buck and super convenient for me to visit. I loved their Spicy Crab Noodles and Pad Thai. I like that they give you tom yum soup and bottomless thai tea with your meal. I have been coming here for years and was able to get two plates for around $18 here before, and now they've bumped up their prices significantly. I think around $2 per plate. For some reason the noodles seemed extra soggy/overcooked when I had them today. Also, before, their tom yum side soup had baby corn and mushrooms and now it's just plain broth. It's sad to see a lot of small businesses having to raise their prices, probably due to the minimum wage bump but unfortunately at this pricing I'd rather go to my favorite Thai restaurant, Krung Thai, for much better food. All hail Thai Lovers!!! Excellent service, Nice beautiful presentation, great Food and most importantly - they never let you go thirsty. As I stuff my face with soup, salad, and rice - my 8 oz. cup is always full of Thai Ice Tea. What a great service! I didn't ask for it nor did I pay. Talk about FREEbies... They just kept pouring. I love this place. I wish they had sticky rice, but nonetheless I had a great meal. Appetizers: Chicken Skewers with bitter/hot sauce. I love Thai Food and this place definitely made me crave it often. I've tried Thai Lovers when they were located on Piedmont Road more towards North East San Jose. They used to have events in the evening and dancing on weekend nights. They're Pad Thai was delicious. Wasn't too watery/saucy and just the perfect amount of flavor. Wasn't lacking anything and carried a good ratio of chicken and shrimp. The Green Papaya Salad ( Som Tum ) with dried shrimp was good. Downfall was that the papaya was sliced much thicker than I'm used too and the salad was warm. I'm used to Som Tum being more on the cooler side.
