I honestly was not expecting much, as Thai food in L.A. is rather meh. I was absolutely pleased! Last time I tasted such delicious Thai food was in a family run restaurant in Berlin. My girlfriend and I were looking for a good alternative to some of the other Thai restaurants in the area and were super surprised by how much more we loved the food here, so we've been back again and again. They have a wide variety of dishes and the food has always been hot and ready when we ordered ahead and went to pick it up. I've gotten the Pad zee ew, and the "Chicken and Vegetables" which were both tasty with fresh ingredients. The service was good and the gentleman who served us was kind and friendly, and the lady on the phone was nice and helpful with recommending different options. Give them a try! Very friendly, fast and very fresh. Accommodating to Vegan diet, most things can be made vegan. I ordered the green curry, vegetables and tofu were all very fresh, green curry was mild. However I wasn't crazy about the coconut milk used, had a slight after taste I wasn't digging. Adding the included soy and chili sauces helped. Amazing amazing Thai, some of the best I've had in all of LA actually, but definitely best in the valley. Their pad Thai is phenomenal - they add something to it that gives it a slight cheesy flavor but it's really good, definitely try it out. And someone else mentioned the quality of their shrimp, which I would really agree with. I love shrimp but depending on the place the quality can sometimes be iffy, but not here - they're very fresh and delicious and good size too. Thai SA! - #10 - Thai Near Me - North Hollywood, California

Thai SA! is the best. Sai and An are really passionate about the food truck having a relationship with the customer. You feel like they are cooking for you, and not just cooking for another 'customer'. They are invested in whether or not you like the food and will give good recommendations if you ask. Super convenient too, (I work nearby) and all of our coworkers go there consistently too. Things I've had: Spring Rolls: The spring rolls here are great. Highly recommend. The sauce is sweet with a tang and not spicy, and you have enough sauce with the order (4 rolls) so you don't feel like you're going to have 2 saucy rolls and 2 dry ones. Nice and crispy but not overcooked. Chicken Satay: Nice and hot. Juicy chicken (not dried out). Sauce is good, but a little thick. Larb: I've had both versions of Larb. One with the ground chicken, and one thai style with the grilled chicken. Both are good; but the grilled chicken one is reallllly good. Really flavorful. Tends to have a lot of fish sauce. Tom Kha Soup: Really good. The soup is heavy on fish sauce (like some of the other food) but I'm a fan of it so it doesn't bother me. It's super potent and delicious; and not full of all the random inedible things you'll commonly get in Tom Kha. Caution; served super hot so make sure you let it cool down. It's not the spiciest though, so if you want to spicy make sure you let them know. Shrimp and Pineapple Curry: Don't expect a thick curry sauce. It's thinner than you may be used too; but it's flavorful and comes with the perfect amount of rice to soak it all up. Usually a curry dish won't make you full but this will. Tends to have a lot of fish sauce. Duck and Pineapple Curry: See above; but with Duck. I've never had a bone find it's way into it which is rare. Really good. The Duck is always really good here. Pad Gra Pow with Duck: Probably my favorite thing on the menu. Don't get this if you don't like basil though. It's got a lot of basil. It's a non-saucy dish with great blend of flavors and spices with the duck on plain white rice. It's the perfect meat & Veggie to Rice ratio just like the curry. Super awesome. (Spicy though!) Pad Thai: The pad thai here is different from other places. Usually the noodles are more dry. Here the noodles are very moist; but they aren't covered with sauce. Nice and hot (temp-wise) when you get it. Pad Zee Ew: Compared to the other dishes, I like the curry and pad thai more; but I'm not the biggest Pad Zee Ew person. My coworkers swear by it and get it at least 3 times a week though. Thai Fried Rice: Tastes and smells amazing. Solid fried rice. I definitely recommend an extra fried egg or two. Green Thai Iced Tea: Very sweet. (Not bad, just be aware) Green Thai Iced Coffee: Very sweet. (Not bad, just be aware) All in all, Thai Sa! is less of a food truck and more of a mobile full-service restaurant. The food is as-good if not better than food you would enter a building to eat. There's no lapse in quality of ingredients or taste because of it being a truck which is rare. Also; although the prices are 13$+ for curry and other items; they are not small portions and you aren't being cheated. (For example the grilled cheese trucks that charge 9-10$ for essentially bread, butter, and cheese.) The food here is cooked to order and not held on hand waiting for somebody to buy it. I've been meaning to post a review of my friends/guardian angels at this lovely place for weeks but my last trip here has made it impossible for me to put it off any longer. I recently moved to North Hollywood from across the country and was pleased to find a great Thai spot so close to my new place. While of course the food is amazing and worthy of multiple visits on its own, what really struck me about Thai SA! was the owners' unwavering friendliness and excitement towards everyone who stops by their restaurant. Pleasant conversation and friendly waves while walking by have become staples of my Thai SA! experience over the past month and a half, but what happened today was something special. This morning I woke up to a nasty cold and sore throat so I decided to call up my friends at TS for some much needed hot soup. Not only did Sai recommend the best soup for a cold (Tom Yum) when I told them I wasn't feeling well, but as I was about to leave her husband goes and gives me bottles of Dayquil/Nyquil/Robitussin just because that's the kind of angels they are.
