Came here with Gina. I can see parking maybe being an issue during some parts of the day. It wasn't for me. But the place is on a very busy street. Went for lunch and there was plenty of space. This place is a hit or miss depending on how they want to perform on any given day. I used to work in the area, so we would order take out from them a cpl times a week. Delivery is quick, people are nice. Food is sometimes pretty good while other times extremley MEH. I suppose I can't complain as we never did find any other thai delivery spots in the area so considering that it was good. This place is great! They deliver really good Thai food to your house or office and fast. If they don't tell you it will take 30-60 minutes (when they're really busy) then it'll be more like 15 minutes. The food is good, the service is good. The folks who answer the phone have strong accents, so it requires a little patience, but it's really worth it. zero complaints. read more

This place is horrible and the owner yelled at me! My grandpa used to love this food, he is diabetic and must eat at certain times. I ordered at 12pm and the women on the phone said it would take 40 minutes. Perfect, still within the window my grandfather must eat. An hour later I am still waiting for the food. I call to cancel because its 20 minutes late and the owner says the driver has just left and he will be there in 10-15 minutes. I don't live far from the restaurant, it shouldn't take them that long to get here. I told her to forget it, the food is already late and we don't want the food. She begins to yell at me and say that I should have called 20 minutes ago, not an hour later to say I didn't want the food. I'm sorry that I assumed when she said 40 minutes that thought the food would be here in 40 minutes. I even gave her an extra 20 minutes because I understand it's lunch time. She informed me that she doesn't only have "one" customer. I would have gladly waited had they called and said it would be late or had been polite about the situation. The delivery man calls me 15 minutes later and says he will be by in 5 minutes but I will never give this place my business ever again. The food isn't good enough for this type of treatment. I will be telling all my friends and family who visit this restaurant regularly of this incident. read more

Simply put, the most consistent, best delivery food I've ever had. Since I've lived in LA (6 months or so) I've ordered from here maybe 6-8 times. The food has been excellent each time, with 0 exceptions. Favorites are pad see ew with tofu, chicken yellow and green curry, and larb. Cheap too! We usually get one appetizer, two entrees, and a side of rice, and the total is 24ish. Food is generally delivered in 25 minutes or so, hot and ready to wolf down! read more

I had the Pad Se Ew (combo) and the Pad Ped Catfish with steam rice (Yes, I was very hungry for lunch). The pad se ew was ok however the catfish was good, for the price. I drove here in the need of some hot delicious soup and the experience was underwhelming. I got here at 8:37pm but they already had put the chairs upside down over the tables, they said I could order food to go, so I just ordered my soup and drank it in my car. Second, the total was almost 14$ for a Tom Yum Soup with shrimp, taste was average and it feel I was drinking mostly water. I believe this place just needs to lower their prices due to the below average food and service. I ordered from here for the first time and I'm very pleased with the food but NOT with the DELIVERY DRIVER. He told our receptionist that he got frustrated because he could not find parking (after telling him that there was a parking lot across the street). He also told the receptionist that he was waiting "2 hours" for someone to come into the lobby. First of all, your restaurant has not been OPEN for 2 hours yet so how could you have WAITED for 2 hours? Good FOOD, POOR delivery service and I'm upset that his tip was added to my credit card. I am not coming back to Thai Silk. I ordered Pad Thai w/ tofu for takeout. I got disgusting fried rice full of mixed meat. Thankfully I'm not vegetarian. But If I wanted to get crappy Chinese food, I would have gone to Mr. Chen's across the street and got twice as much food for $6 (I like Mr. Chen's bc it's a lot of food for cheap.) Instead I paid $9 for something inedible. The meat is poor quality for the price (although perhaps fried rice costs less than $9). The fried rice used chili powder to compensate for the seasoning. I hate wasting food, but I'm not sure what else to do with this besides throw it away. If you get takeout, check your order before leaving the restaurant. read more

Portions are very small, price is high, curry doesn't come with rice, chicken satay were dry, and to top it off I would not recommend to give a complain to the restaurant, they don't care what they serve, only the money they cash in. Had a lady on the phone who couldn't care less that our dinner was missing the Asian key ingredient that accompany dishes (rice). So next time I'll go to someone who cares for what I eat. Was not impressed. Placed an order to go and got yellow curry with chicken and pad thai. Two classic thai dishes that were sub-par. The chicken in the curry was dry and difficult to chew. The flavor of the curry wasn't bad, but the chunks of potato were massive and I had to keep breaking it into smaller pieces to take a bite. The pad thai was average. It had all the essential ingredients, just not done very well. I would not order from here again. read more
