Pineapple Fried Rice (no egg) with chicken medium spicy
    Cristina S.

This place is definitely a fast food vibe. It's very cramped environment and a little higher price than average for a Thai food that I've seen however it's Irvine so I'm assuming that that's to be expected. The service was OK.. 0 complaints but zero compliments as well. The food is not the best, but definitely not the worst. Plus, their medium spicy is definitely spicy.. my only complaint is that it was quite greasy compared to what I'm used to or what I like

Been coming to Thai Spice since 2010! Ordered to-go today because I was craving Pad See Ewe and needed a quick option. Loved being able to order from the Toast App and pick up my order from the fast and friendly staff! It was quite busy in the plaza so I had to circle a bit to find parking, but I liked how people were sitting on their patio, enjoying the beautiful day and their delicious meal. The only reason I docked a star was because some of my noodles had clumped together and they didn't soak up the yummy sauce. I called it, "Sad See Ewe". Overall, still a solid meal for the price!! PRO TIP: Check out their lunch special combo or their Monday & Thursday deals!!

I ordered Pad Kee Mao to go. To my surprise, it had no basil and they put lettuce instead. The lettuce didn't match and gave it an odd flavor. Staff service was okay, but there was no smile and no greeting. Overall, the food and service left me disappointed. Basil is the spirit of this dish.

Food: Pad See Ew with Chicken (Spice: Medium) Price: $12.50 (not including tax) Overall: I used to come here a lot during my year at UCI! They do $7 Pad Thai (Chicken or Tofu) on Mondays but I was craving the Pad See Ew. The spice wasn't actually spicy, just a tiny kick and each bite made me crave for more. Solid spot to go for Thai Food!

The best pad Thai I've ever had. I've been a customer for 30 years and I've tried many different places only to find it disappointing.

Goo Lawd this is the best mango sticky rice I've had yet...... and I get it everywhere I go. Service was great! And quick! I wish I lived closer. I got the grapow fried tofu and it was delicious! It's hard for me to get very, very spicy dishes so I figured this place was up to the challenge. I asked for the 5/5 level spicy and it was great!! I may even ask for extra Thai spicy next time. Quality meal, and an affordable price. I Wish I didn't live so far from Irvine or I would come here regularly! I never got a photo of my Thai food. Maybe that's a good thing! It was so delicious I inhaled it before I could get the shot!

Visited Thai Spice in person today for the first time. My parents often get takeout from here but I have never been myself. For starters, the lady that was working the cashier was very friendly and welcoming, with a wonderful attitude. We ordered the pad thai with chicken, the fried rice with beef, and the Pad Kee Mow with beef as well. Thai food is pretty spicy as is but we went with spicy level for all these. The food was delicious and very flavorful. It comes in takeout containers but you can choose to dine in. They give you a fair portion for the price and very much worth it. Clean environment and well maintained!

STOP. Please save your money and appetite. It tastes as bad as it looks. Unfortunately this is nothing near to authentic Thai food or even Thai food.

    Smilely T.

Just No! Firstly, the food doesn't taste fresh and quality of ingredients quite low. We ordered Green Curry Beef. The beef was tough and the sauce tasted like they poured a cup of water in it. Then, the Pad See Ewe, again with tough beef. It tasted like it had been sitting around since the morning. Definitely not freshly cooked. Then, there is the Pineapple Fried Rice. This had a funky chicken. The rice was dry and most definitely not fresh and the chicken tasted old and reheated. Thai Spice what makes you think you can collect premium prices for the low standard of food that you serve?

Great service, greeted with a smile every time I go! Food is exceptional, plenty of tables to sit and eat at.

Decent Thai takeout, Drunken Noodles were alright, wish the portion was a little bigger. Parking can be tough as the plaza is on the smaller side. Price was about $14 per dish. Service is on point and prompt.

Lots of mixed reviews, but don't knock it 'til you try it :)! Hungry and not wanting to leave the house, I decided to order delivery. Random fact: This is the 2nd time in my life where I've ordered food for delivery (other than pizza). For my food, I ordered their Pad Thai w/ Beef. I've been on a Pad Thai binge since I'm addicted to the flavor and the noodles. The dish normally has a tangy flavor to it which I like, and I also love the thin noodles that are used. How was it? Pad Tai w/ Beef: A warm delivery! So I suppose you can say I ate it while it was fresh. Opted for no bean sprouts or green onions because I don't like them with this dish. The thin noodles and flavor were just what I was looking for and expected. The beef, though there wasn't much, was pretty good. The noodles weren't long strands, they seemed to be cut shorter. I didn't mind this as it made it much easier to eat, and I was definitely not in the mood to twirl my noodles like spaghetti. I requested a medium spice level and it was perfect! The food arrived in a timely manner, no complaints there. I can't speak for the service as I didn't interact with anyone at the restaurant, but maybe next time I'll dine in to find out!

All week we've been let down by other restaurants, but this place completely turned things around! Hands down, it has the best chicken chow mein, spicy shrimp, fried rice, green beans, and fried wontons I've ever had. Even the Thai tea was amazing! The only downside was the boba--it was a bit too hard--but aside from that, everything was perfect. The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is very clean. Highly recommend!

The gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which was fine, but I wish the quality of the food matched the overall experience. Made reservations online for the tasting menu $225. The place is in the middle of nowhere, from the outside you'd never guess it was fine dining. We started off with a trio of little bites, a tile fish gungakn roll, fried mochi threads, and an acorn cracker filled with camembert cheese. The raw tile fish gunkan was ok, the mochi threads were nice and crunchy, the camembert cheese was too pungent for me. Hamachi/Raspberry - slices of Yellow tail and raspberry in a ponzu sauce. The ponzu stood out most and gave it a salty profile i couldn't really distinguish between the hamachi and the raspberry as the textures were similar. Artichoke Kohlrabi gyoza with a bri sauce. This dish was very good though i thought it was more like ravioli than gyoza. It even looked like ravioli. I think they just called it gyoza to make it fit the Japanese theme. Shrimp tempura was delicious! it was lightly battered and fried and put in a shallow bowl of shrimp broth. They said it came with dynamite sauce but i think it was just kewpie mayo. Very good and one of my favorites of the evening. Chicken wing stuffed with scallop, part of the wing was deboned and stuffed with a Hokkaido scallop. It was very tasty, the scallop was very sweet and tender. I wish the skin of the chicken wing was crispier. It was quite charred but did not crack when bitten into it and a little rubbery. Tile fish had a very crispy skin and came with a beautiful sauce of i think apples and apricots and a walnut butter. I really liked the sauce that was spooned on the plate. another one of my favorites of the evening. Duck done 2 ways; roasted and a fried tsukune meatball. They both came in a light carrot sauce. The fat on the roasted piece was nicely rendered and the duck meat very tender. The tsukune was nicely fried and crispy and still rare inside. The palate cleanser was a pine ice cream with Aloe Jelly, The pine ice cream was quite refreshing and smooth i thought the aloe jelly was a bit strong tasting. I think flavor came from the geranium but something had a strong taste to it. The dessert was also one of my favorites White chocolate with hokkaido milk powder on top of miso ice cream and slices of tangerine. It was supposed to be reminiscent of a creamsicle. The Hokkaido milk power was magic on the shards of white chocolate, the miso ice cream was very smooth and dense and when eaten together with the pieces of manderin orange did remind me of a creamsicle. They gave us a trio of finishing dishes a trio of bites; Castella cake, Kokuto jelly and raspberry mochi. The castella cake didn't really stand out, it wasn't the sweet dense cake that im used to. The kokuto jelly had that deep brown sugar taste but was too stiff in my opinion. The raspberry mochi had a strong raspberry flavor which i loved and had a good chew to it. Service was exceptional, water was filled many times almost every time the water glass went down 1/4 it was filled to the top. Each course was preceded with the proper utensiles and were cleared after each dish. i must have had at least 4 forks and 4 spoons. Definilty 5 star (Michilin style) service. Food was very good maybe 4 stars. Value was ok maybe 3 stars. If you divided the courses by the price it came to $25 per course. If you looked at the ala cart menu, many of the items were there and could be had for less than $25, of course not all the dishes on the tasting menu were available ala cart. But i feel if you sat at the bar and ordered a cocktail and maybe 5-6 dishes you't still pay a hefty price but it would be much less than $225. I feel like thats the way to go instead of the tasting menu. Come here if you want exceptional service.

The Pad See Ew has great flavor, although I prefer their Pad Thai, the yellow curry came with a side of rice and had a rich coconut taste, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect dessert to end the meal. The staff is always nice, and this particular location has limited seating both inside and outside. Siam station is definitely a place I would recommend if you're craving some Thai food.

While there are a few other spots in town that I would dub them supreme but for their offering, service, and ambiance, this is a great spot for business lunch, catch up, or family over delicious food. For this location, it is a bit small with limited seating. For large parties or families, you may have a longer wait time since tables need to be shuffled around. One of my favorite things to pair with our meal is their spice rack. If you are able to handle a bit of heat, ask for it and introduce the pickle chili to your dish. It elevates flavor with contrast quite well. Pad See Ew and Crab fried rice is what we ordered. The first visit had beef salad which paired great with the rest of the meal. Overall, stop by this location for good eats. FYI, parking can be tricky so be mindful about peak hours and carpool.
