I'm not sure if five stars is enough! From the moment we entered (as soon as they opened!) everything was perfection. We sat at the bar - not for cocktails but because we like sitting at bars. I wasn't sure and asked Simon, our waiter, if the chicken & biscuits was good, he didn't hesitate and totally steered me in the right direction. The biscuits were flaky, with a bit of spicy pimento & crispy bacon to help the sausage gravy & chicken. Sooooo good. Wayne had a veggie scramble with crispy potatoes, veggies, biscuit & gravy. I don't think we will have lunch - too full from a great breakfast.

AMAZING, per usual! I absolutely love The 5 Spot, the food is always freshly prepared, so flavorful and always compliments one another, the service was pretty good and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to come back!

Went for lunch. Also got the collard and bacon dip but forgot to snap a pic, but it was my favorite. On the po'boy, the shrimp were fried very well, bread toasted nicely, with the tomatoes were whole sliced versus decided, and something was a tad too salty but I don't know if it was the shrimp or the sauce on them. Good fries. Fair prices. Great customer service. Clean restaurant, though it smelled a tad bit like cleaning chemicals. Fast seating with ample parking.

I've always wanted to try the 5 Spot and I'm so glad we were able to try it today! Located in the Habersham Village- there's a lot of parking available. It wasn't busy for a Saturday afternoon. The employees were all very kind. The hostess didn't bring us a high chair for our toddler, but luckily they were within viewing distance where we could grab one. The restaurant is pretty spacious. The menu has a great mix of different tavern-like foods. We opted for some sandwiches and our toddler got Mac n cheese and the tenders. The food was delicious. We all ate everything off of our plates! I got a margarita and it was $10 for a good-sized drink. For a family of 3 we spent about $60 with tip. Final Verdict: I do think we will be back! They seem to have a lot of happy hour deals and the brunch plates look like a good deal!

I returned to this restaurant 5 years later when back in the area and was disappointed in the changes to service, flavor & cost. I couldn't get over that a simple meal like low country shrimp & grits was $20. I chose the fried green tomatoes appetizer for my meal at about $14. While it was a crunchy crust, it hit the flavor of the tomatoe slices. The menu did not note that the "remoulade" was "nose-running spicy". I also chose a blueberry bread pudding, filled with blueberries and flavorful under a nice vanilla ice cream. It was not evenly warm tho, with cold spots. The biggest disappointment was the ten minutes it took to get service and a simple glass of water. There were ample (3) servers socializing in the small register area, and 2 socializing at the hostess stand, it just didn't seem anyone was there to work. the place was relatively empty at a meal time. Maybe others noticed the failings in service, taste and cost this time too.

I was surprised to see how low the rating was. I've only been here once but the service was great, we didn't have to wait long, and the shrimp and grits were very good! We got the parm Brussel sprouts for an appetizer which i would definitely order again

The food was great, and came out quickly. Bonus, they have delicious ranch. We were there for lunch around noon. I like the calm day time ambiance of the restaurant and imagine it's a little more hectic in the evenings. The service was good as well, kind welcome and friendly service.

Yep. He huungry again. Food- amazing. Love and miss this place but visit it almost every time I'm in over from the Boro. Oh and happy hour 4-6 M-F with five amazing drinks that are twofer one! Service- great wait staff and some of the best and friendliest bartenders in town. Ambiance- huge upgrade from the old breakfast place. And they've updated recently including barstools , chairs n HVAC. Thank you! And I'm friendly with many of their staff. Please please hurry up and get one in Statesboro!

The hubby and I got in on a Sunday night without a reservation. Rather than a long wait, we were good with sitting at the bar. Hubby's lemon herb chicken was excellent. I tried it and the roasted semi boneless half chicken was tender and delicious. It was accompanied with garlic fingerling potatoes, charred broccolini in lemon chicken jus. After a long day of travel, I needed good protein so the Collins Burger was a fine choice. It's a double smash, sauce, chopped bacon, and crispy shallots. Cooked well, juicy, and just all around excellent. Had a sip of the hubby's sangria and wow! Probably the best one I've tasted. The vibes here are chic and upscale. That small gesture said a lot about the level of customer service. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly patient helping Alison navigate a dietary restriction. And then came the food! I had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and Alison had the quinoa chicken bowl. Everything came out quickly, the presentation was gorgeous, and the flavors were out of this world. We also tried a couple of mocktails and both were fantastic. I came very close to ordering Leo's Big Brekkie because it looks like a protein lover's dream, but I wasn't quite hungry enough to tackle it. Now I already have something picked out for our next visit! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, beautiful food, and an all-around terrific experience. Five stars really isn't enough. We went for the all-breast-meat Chicken club sandwich. Fresh lettuce. Thick ripe tomato slices. Plenty of crispy tasty bacon. But the chicken was flavorless and on the dry side, with some tough bites that meant careless trimming. How about corned-beef hash eggs-Benedict with grits and a biscuit? The hash was dry. The grits were ok but ordinary. The biscuit was doughy and flavorless. If we were too late for freshly-made hash, they shouldn't have served them. The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

I ordered the footlong hot dog, and it was one of the most unique hot dogs I've ever had. Instead of serving it on one bun, they split it across two buns with different toppings on each half. One side was topped with sloppy joe, while the other had chili and relish. It was a fun idea that let you enjoy two different flavor combinations in one meal. It also came with a generous portion of crispy waffle fries, which were excellent. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food, and the prices were very reasonable, fitting the casual diner vibe. My only real criticism was the speed of service. There were only three occupied tables when we visited, yet it took about 35 minutes for the first plate to arrive. The last person at our table didn't receive their meal until nearly 45 minutes after we ordered, which seemed unusually slow for how quiet the restaurant was. The other thing worth mentioning is that the menu varies quite a bit between locations. This restaurant's menu is heavily focused on breakfast. While the food itself was good, it would be nice if the menus were more consistent across locations. Having to research which location serves which items takes away from the convenience of a unified brand. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would definitely return for a quick lunch. The food was tasty, reasonably priced, and the creative footlong hot dog alone is worth trying.
