Went to the diner for opening day. Wow! The interior is very clean and modern, while still paying homage to the original 1950s style. The entire menu looked incredible - the stand out was definitely the churro french toast! I think I'll be dreaming about it tonight. Got to sample the watermelon agua fresca and vegan coconut horchata, too - delicious treats for sure! Lauren (the owner) was very attentive and friendly. This place is over the top good! The food is amazing. Had very, very good, taco platter, tried three different kinds of tacos. My partner had huevos rancheros. Ridiculously good. We also had the guac and homemade chips. Excellent! The decor is also a real treat. They have really brought the old details back to their glory. Do not miss this place. Wow. I mean really, wow! We ordered churro French toast and a birria omelette. When I picked it up it was the wrong order. When I called they immediately remade my order for us and told us to keep the wrong order, a carnitas bowl and a cheeseburger. When I left to pick up the correct order, my daughter had broken into the carnitas bowl and was seriously impressed with how tasty and well made it was. Churro French toast was possibly the best French toast we have ever had. The birria omelet - also just mind blowingly good. And finally the burger was massive and delicious. Yesterday was the first time I visited this diner. Not only is it adorable, but it's also clean and the food is delicious! It was nice and toasty warm in there, too, which I appreciate because I'm always cold. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it was soooo good! I saved half because I was full and took it home. I typically give the 2nd half to my husband, but not this time - instead I hid it and am eating it today! I don't know if the man who waited on us was the owner, but he was also very kind. They put a positive twist on basic breakfast. You can choose a standard breakfast like eggs and toast or "spice it up" Mexican style. Interesting selection of Mexican based meals utilizing beans, sausages, and salsas. Great for something different. Service is always pleasant and attentive. 1000/10 I highly recommend. I visited with my husband for our wedding anniversary date 7/20 and had breakfast here. AMAZING!!! So good we visited again today 7/21. It's a super cute a cozy diner. Food was so good and came out to our table exactly as menu described. The price was very reasonable. Both times we took food and drinks to go and even then the price point was amazing. Food was fresh both days including our agua frescas. Service was amazing. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in both times and waiters were very attentive and nice. read more

We read about the rave reviews for Agave on Seymour FB website and decided to try it for breakfast this past Saturday. I can honestly say that I never in my life had anything so good and delicious as the Tres Leches pancakes. My husband had the Agave Special and it was also "out of this world". We had seats at the counter and conversed with the owners (our servers) who were very friendly, pleasant, accommodating and gracious. The diner in itself, is adorable and cozy and has beautifully updated decorum while still keeping the retro look. We plan on going again on Tuesday for breakfast and many more days in the future. Great mexican/American diner food! We met them from their food truck the wandering agave and didn't realize they were opening a diner in the same town as where we live. They make homemade corn tortillas which are delicious and have several vegan options. Only thing I hope that they add is gluten free bread and buns! read more

I was from out of town visiting and typed in "brunch" spots, and this was one of the choices. According to our server, This place is new. However, this is a gem. The cuisine is "American meets Mexican" and the food didn't disappoint. I would agree that this is exactly what I would consider "brunch". My husband got the churro French toast - EXCEPTIONAL. Light, fluffy, with amazing flavor topped with strawberries. I got chilaquiles dish with the beef birria as an add on beef. Oh my gosh. The meat was so tender and juicy. The corn tortilla chips (which are gluten friendly) are homemade topped with some sort of salsa. I got my eggs over easy. Delicious, however with this meal I regret not getting scrambled. Overall, the experience was amazing. I hardly ever leave reviews, but this place was exceptional. The dining atmosphere is very cute as well. It reminded me of being in an old school diner from the 50's, with a little flair of "new school." There isn't a ton of seating, and I can tell this place is going to be very popular, so I'd recommend trying sooner rather than later to try to beat the traffic of people. I will definitely make this a spot or return when I come back to visit! read more
