I am not a breakfast eater..as a matter of fact my spouse will tell me that I am the "enemy of breakfast" .. I will say this about The Biscuit...they could easily convert me. I had the Heirloom tomato Bruschetta, two eggs sunny side up and a biscuit on the side..simply put it was AMAZING. We had brunch here on a fairly quiet Saturday morning. We had four adults and two toddlers in our party. We only waited for about 10 minutes and were seated. I liked the pretty inventive menu options that they head. I opted for the Brioche French Toast and my husband the special scramble of the day. My daughter got pancakes and was able to pick the animal shape of her choice, which she appreciated. The French toast was good, but after I tried my husbands scramble we both agreed that was much better! It was pretty quiet and the service was fast. All around a great brunch experience. I wanted to give this 5 stars and I think it has that potential. The price was a bit high for a breakfast place and most of the food was good but some of what I had was bland. I would definitely recommend it if in the area. I also would like to note that I went back there after covid just let it open so this is probably a 5 star review. Service was very rude. The server rolled her eyes and was complaining to her co-worker in front of us when having to seat our party of 8. Our server greeted us with a "do you know what you want to drink" not a hello or even a smile. Giving 2 stars because had the food been warm it would have been good. Reasonably priced however upon barely completing out meal (breakfast) manager comes over and says "I'm not kicking you out but can we have one of your tables (we were a party of 5) and have a 45 minute wait. Came here to get away from the down town busy-ness. We had a variety of things, all very good. The pancakes where a hit!! Those alone will make sure stop by again before we leave area. The egg dishes where cooked just right. The huevos rancheros were pretty good as well. It was busy when we arrived but there was a constant flow so not to bad a wait. read more

I can only rate the service because I never got to eat... There were several open tables for my party of 2, but we were ignored for 10 minutes while standing in the entrance. There was one party of 6 ahead of us patiently waiting for a table, and a line of people waiting to pay. Who's job is it to seat people at this place?? Gets extra points for friendly service and a nice familial atmosphere. We didn't try the biscuits (duh!), and went for the lunch menu, which might have been inferior to the breakfast one. My wife got an egg salad sandwich and a cup of a weird veggie chili with apparently too much cumin (which she also noticed in the coleslaw, neither of which I tasted myself). She describes the taste as that of a hard-boiled egg with some celery. I got a pulled pork sandwich, and asked for coleslaw on the side. Apparently, that also meant coleslaw *in* the sandwich (I removed it). My sandwich was 'meh'. I also had a cup of cream of mushroom soup, which drew the attention of the delightful couple sitting near us. They were absolutely thrilled with their breakfast -"the best I've ever had in my life." The life in question having been seemingly quite long already, I can only express my unnatural but culturally acquired French arrogance by regretting that the poor old soul had not experienced good food. Anyway, she intimated that my soup wasn't "Campbell's" -to which I felt like replying: "Quite right, tastes more like Progresso to me!"; but I decided not to ruin her enthusiasm. read more

I try to eat at The Biscuit at least once a week and am frequently urging my friends to join me! The food is absolutely fantastic; I've never had anything I didn't enjoy. I often bring my 4-year-old in and they are very accommodating to any requests for him. The coffee tastes great and I've always been offered refills without having to ask. I HIGHLY recommend The Biscuit. It is easily the best place to have breakfast in Holland. read more

The food was great. I had their homemade cherry granola pancakes and my dining partner had the french toast. Everything was fresh from the pecans and whipped cream to the real maple syrup. The place was a little cramped and as noted by other reviewers had an odd smell. My dining partner commented on the bathroom just steps from the dining tables as being a big turn-off. I took 2 stars off for the absolutely awful service. We must have waited at least 30 minutes even though there were plenty of empty tables. The wait staff was fairly inattentive once we were seated. If you go, you'll have a great breakfast but don't go too hungry because you are going to spend a lot of time waiting. read more

A hidden gem. We have been trying to get in since 2016, and finally got in yesterday. We were greeted and seated immediately with sincere smiles and helpful waitress. Biscuit's my favorite place in town for breakfast. Portions are a little small, but many of the ingredients are sourced locally and are super fresh. Before I discovered I have a gluten intolerance my favorite things on the menu were their granola pancakes, or which ever the pancake/french toast special was that morning. Since, my favorites are the chicken apple hash, and the nor'easter omelet. I've tried most of the menu, and I'm not sure I've had anything that I didn't like. First visit to Biscuit. Did an online search for Holland breakfast places and this one kept coming up. I love trying new places especially when I'm out of town. This place unique and quaint. The menu was original and priced just a tad above your typical 'greasy spoon' but definitely worth it. I tried the 'Eggs Liliana' and it was not only mouthwatering but something I had never had before. The Biscuit has quickly become a favorite. I hope to visit again soon. read more

Came in to The Biscuit on a Sunday morning for brunch and I thought this was just the cutest little place. Visiting from a big city Washington Square was the perfect place for some quiet delicious food. Being that the place is called The Biscuit I'd think it would have just a bit more plates that include biscuits. Went for the Spanish Bennies with avocado and a side of French toast. Great choice! Others at the table got the Breakfast tacos and pancakes and everyone had nothing but good things to say about their food! Our waitress was super nice and amicable.
