Had a party in the GreenRoom. The AC was not adequate. We were all red in the face and sweating. Only 2 units there, where 3-4 are needed to keep up with the Texas heat. This place is lovely and our waiter was an absolute gem. Make sure you make a reservation. It's a very popular place and the sign on the door (on the weekend) said no walk-ins available. The cocktails were wonderful, food was fantastic. We did get seated at exactly our reservation time. There was a bit of a wait for food and drinks but that is to be expected with a cool new place that's booked solid with reservations at a peak time. When we went, there was a large group of about 20+ that took up easily 5 tables pushed together. RUDE. We all know it is not a good idea to book a huge group that takes up half the restaurant especially at a peak time for a brand new restaurant because that takes away from other patrons at a time when the new place is still working out the kinks. Large groups take longer in general which means those with reservations have to wait longer to get seated if the large group won't leave on time and large groups bog down the kitchen so every other patron has to wait longer for their food. I blamed the wait on that large group. They were doing a full on birthday party and that's just ridiculous to do given the place is small and brand new with lots of Instagram influencers posting about it. This is NOT the place for large groups. If you want the place for a large group party - rent the entire place out for a private event. Anyone complaining here on Yelp about the wait time is absolutely clueless on how hard it is in the first few weeks of opening a new restaurant and having lots of influencers share the place on Instagram. It means it's insanely busy. It means they may run out of things on the menu. If you want to be first to try a new place, then manage your expectations. Also, as far as being understaffed and complaining about it in a review, every restaurant in DFW has a hard time finding employees. I blame bad tippers along with rude and demanding customers for that because no one wants to make $2.13 an hour to be treated like crap and get stiffed on a tip. My theory is people who complain about restaurants being understaffed are the very people that make it hard to find restaurant employees. Rude, clueless and bad tippers. Clearly people that have never worked in the service industry. I will be going back again and can't wait. The decor is absolutely stunning and again, our waiter was a delight. I have Celiac Disease and they made sure what I ordered was safe. My only recommendation, and those I was dining with agreed, the place could use some better sound acoustics as it's hard to hear and talk - cement floors, windows and no sound absorbing acoustics on the ceiling. The sound issue could have been due to the large 20+ group that was so loud. We mentioned our issues with not being able to hear each other at our own table when we left and they let us know they are working on it. Again, the place has been open less than a month at the time we went so slight changes happen after opening when they realize the issues. You should definitely try this place with a couple friends. Tables are mostly 4-tops, bar seating and a couple of booths. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of cocktails and food. Loved it! Hopefully those complaining will stay away so the rest of us can enjoy this place forever. Every negative review I read is related to this place just opening and being overwhelmingly popular. For a breakfast food location, the interior decorating is great! It looks incredible when you walk in, and the service matches. Our host was very helpful in helping with descriptions and advice on choosing something appropriate. For the experience, and also if you like meat candy, try the pork belly appetizer. Not giving you the spoiler about it, just try it. The shakshuka I had was really nice also. I like to try things I've never heard of and this didn't disappoint! The restaurant is feminine with floral decor and an enclosed outside seating area. It's a great place to meet up with your girlfriends to grab coffee maybe. But definitely not a place to eat. My friends and I were thinking of returning for brunch. But after having dinner, we will not be returning unless their food quality gets significantly better. I stumbled upon this place while using the Tesla Superchargers in the parking lot. I ordered a mimosa and the Truffle Omelette. I always order omelettes for breakfast, and this is the best I have ever had. The salad that it came with was lovely, and the potatoes perfectly seasoned and cooked. She gave us some great recommendations from the menu. The overall service was absolutely outstanding. I didn't have to request more refills because she was on it. I am not sure why so many people on Yelp are going on about the "ambiance". There isn't anything special about it - it is par. However, if you name your restaurant the BLOOM Lounge, you should have fresh flower decorating the tables and some color. I was expecting "the IVY" with tablecloths and roses and not a formica top and fake flowers. I was at a table of 3. We all had lovely salads that were very flavorful, beautifully presented *with* flowers. However, I ordered shrimp as an add-on to my salad. They were served separately and had a weird flavor. Adding a protein to our salads was completely unnecessary as the prosciutto was generously proportioned and delicious. My daughters both had the lobster bisque and it also had an odd flavor and no actual lobster. Last, the service was marginal. I sat for about 30 minutes before my drink was served and only after we asked where it was. The iced coffee that was ordered to go was brought out hot. I am really being generous with my 3 stars because for the price point in a strip center, I expected so much more. I imagine the new will wear off soon. They are understaffed considering the large party volumes and they cater to parties over 7 paying the $50/ deposit. Drinks are good but food (variety of benedicts) were luke warm at best. My friends and I had a great experience at the Bloom Lounge. I called last minute wanting a reservation for 12 Tuesday night. They were more than accommodating. Their customer service is top tier. And I have to wholeheartedly agree with the other reviews about how tentative they are. But I have to shoutout Joshua. He was amazing. He refilled my water 5 times without being asked, he was extremely helpful and patient with our thousands of questions about menu items and drink options. He was made for the service industry! He was even kind enough to walk our cake out with us. We had a table of sour pusses next to us and he was cool, calm and collected with them even though there were rude and bitter the whole dining experience. My friends ordered the blackened chicken pasta and I ordered the chicken Madeira. I ordered a side of sautéed mushrooms and I inhaled my food. The decor was the reason we even came here for my best friend's birthday. It's so beautiful and definitely IG worthy! An added bonus is their chicken is halal (kosher for Muslims) and they can make almost any cocktail a mocktail (which is amazing if you're in your dry season or just don't drink alcohol like us). Three friends meet for lunch on a Thursday. Menu was a little different in there weren't typical salad/ sandwich options but more brunch. I had the truffle omelet which was delicious and perfectly cooked. One friend had Benedict eggs which were good, however she wished she had ordered eggs less soft. My other friend ordered French toast which she said had nice flavors, however it was dry. We arrived at 11;00 with no wait. We were seated quickly and service was a little slow but not to the point of off putting. Restaurant became very busy and they seemed to keep up in the kitchen and with the service to guests. The food at Bloom Lounge was amazing. We all had a different dish and there were no complaints on the taste. However, the cost of some of the items was a little excessive. A small iced coffee is $7. One red velvet waffle is $19. Two poached eggs, two pieces of bacon (they call if pork belly to make it sound elevated), and one croissant is $18. The croissants were not even freshly baked and flakey. I got the traditional breakfast and asked for wheat toast. First I was told wheat toast cannot be served with my meal. Then I was told they were out of wheat bread. I chose sourdough. The toast was so hard it was almost impossible to bite. It scraped the roof of my mouth, so I gave up. Do not provide outdoor covered seating if you cannot keep the temp below 80 F. You could not feel the AC. There was no airflow. Our server said she may have a solution, then a large party was seated and they were given the solution, which was a box fan. We were left sweating. The decor in the main part of the restaurant is beautiful. You definitely felt like you were in a really nice restaurant. I guess that is why it surprised me that the menus were cheaply laminated pieces of copier paper. With the prices they charge, you would think they could afford card stock and at least 5mil laminating sheets. We ordered mimosas and was given a choice of juices. We asked if our server could bring two bottles of prosecco and multiple juices. Instead of putting the the juices in containers with a pour spout, the juice was in high ball glasses. This made a huge mess when we tried pouring the juice in our glasses. read more
