Today, I had the Italian and my sister had the Turkey Avocado..we had them as traditional sandwiches and OOOO-WEEE. The bread was fresh, ingredients were fresh and tasted great and everything had the PERFECT amount of seasoning and spread/sauce. 1. Ambiance - This is a super cute spot. The interior design in impeccable with a light blue/white/green distressed farmhouse style. The bar area is also super cute! They serve wine & beer even though it's not on the menu. There are some overpriced flowers for sale throughout the shop. You have to order at the front (unless you reserve a table, I think). 2. Service - Zoe(y?) was our server. She was pretty nice to begin and asked us if we had ever been there before. We told her how it's our first time and she proceeded to hype up their rosemary rolls about 3-4 times before we ordered our food. As a bread-lover, I was excited...we'll get to that later. My friend had to use the restroom, and couldn't find it. She came back and sat down and asked our server where the RR is, to which Zoe replied "it's right there it's not that hard." The restroom is UNLABELED, and difficult to find as I had to ask someone at the back of the store when I went myself after the previous ordeal (where there's another counter to order things?) and she pointed me to the correct hallway. Another weird thing to note: my friend who is 32 lives in Georgia and got questioned about her ID. She does look young but all the rest of us are younger and she served us no problem...maybe because we have FL IDs but it was just strange - her tone and vibe. 3. Food - The moment you've been waiting for: THE FOOD. First of all, we went on a Thursday at 5:30pm. When we arrived, barely anyone else was in the store. My friend is a vegetarian and ordered the "Three Cheese Plate." Well, she tried. Apparently they were out of that along with pinot grigio, many different drink syrups (specifically for the mirror ball and one other drink we tried to order), cheese(???), and THE FAMOUS ROSEMARY ROLLS. I specifically ordered what I did so that I got the rolls with it and she assured me they will come with what I ordered. Then she brings out my food and alas, they're out of rolls. Came in for lunch and was greeted by a front cashier who really did not seem to want to be at work. She was as personable as an alligator with a bad tooth. The sandwich was delicious (chicken cordon Lou) but the antipasto salad that came with it was not very tasty. Their collard greens really redeemed the meal. Despite being vegetarian they were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The bartender was very nice so overall it was a decent (though a little expensive) lunch. I think these restauranteurs specialize in bland food. It's inexplicable to me that there are two locations of this place AND they have a Mexican restaurant downtown now. Guess I'm the one that doesn't know food? I've had better sandwiches at Publix. I can see why the owners left the PNW. There's no way someone with discerning tastes thinks this is "good". Went for brunch. The service was good but a few things were forgotten from our order. It wasn't a huge deal since we weren't in a hurry and our server fixed everything at the end. We didn't have a complicated or crazy order -- Just two dishes and two coffees. But overall the energy of the staff was chaotic, like someone called out or all of the servers pissed each other off that day. Regardless, the management could benefit from boosting moral in some way. It happens. Could've just been an off Saturday. As for when we got there, there was no clear communication on how things 'worked' when you walked in -- for reference, this restaurant is inside of like a mini market with a bar, cafe in the back, floral shop, bodega... there's a lot going on. Party after party that walked in had no idea how ordering/seating/the experience was supposed to go. There was a host at a podium and another cafe spot behind them with a register and someone manning it. Just know if you don't have a reservation on a Saturday, go up to the host and put your name in! Otherwise the wait will be brutal. The food was good. Portions were hefty. I wasn't totally impressed with the 'build your own sandwich' approach. It was marginally more meat and greens than a prebuilt sandwich but just a preference thing. Overall, give it a whirl. Give them some grace. I would NOT get the charcuterie board. There's more dried fruit than there is cheese and no meat. However, you can't go wrong with any of the boards and the salads. A well-earned 5 star update for Bread & Board. They have quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in all of the Riverside area. Have friends, in-laws, or crazies in town? Take them here. It's blatantly obvious that the portions are humongous, but that doesn't mean the kitchen doesn't pay attention to detail. The flavors concocted here are absolutely insane! I've ordered many sandwiches, boards, and as of yesterday, brunch. Not one single dish has disappointed. Cross my heart and hope to die. They truly do a phenomenal job upon each dining experience. Brunch - Cuban Style Hash, aka juicy pulled pork, fluffy eggs, flavorful greens and housemade pickles. Did I mention complimentary coffee? The food was amazing a bread &board. The vibe was reminiscent of Williamsburg, Brooklyn and certain areas of the SF Bay Area. The establishments, during the day time, is definitely something you might overlook of you don't know where you are going. It's hidden with a tin shipping carton structure, however once inside, be prepared for a sensorial hug. Each table has a freshly planted herb, the kitchen is open, so you can watch your meal being prepared, and deconstructed meal options are available for an additional price. Everything is beautiful, and our meals were excellent. We essentially got fried chicken and fried fish sandwiches. Side salad and side rosemary chips. The only complaints were a single staff member who clearly hates himself, and the rosemary chips weren't very rosemaryry. My suggestion to the public, the food is yummy, and the masterminds behind it deserve a thumbs up. This location in downtown was a first for us--a late afternoon Mother's Day treat. Parking was available close by, so a star for that! Provisions is part of their name, and upon entering it is obvious why... the location houses a small coffee bar with sweet treats, a cheese, meats, charcuterie market area, a center libations bar, and the cafe walk up area in the rear. Seating is ample and the menu is a clue to the name. Entrees can either be a tasty sandwich or deconstructed, and served on a board. We tried a couple and both were very appetizing and filling! What a wonderful time I had at this restaurant! I really enjoyed having lunch here and the weather was perfect during our visit. I am obsessed with places that have a beautiful and nice outdoor setting with great food! Love the ambiance and vibes at this spot. I must say that this is a top restaurant for me in Riverside. The food was definitely five stars too! I ordered the Southern Chicken and biscuit which was so crunchy and had a little bit of a sweet taste because of the maple syrup. I loved it and it was really huge! The portions here are great! The side salad was also very good. Loved the dressing. Also, we tried the Shrimp Bahn Mi and Lobster roll which were both really good too. And for the sides, I recommend the potato salad and Buffalo chicken pasta if you like blue cheese. It is a laidback environment but everyone from staff to guests were super friendly and hospitable. Their menu had a variety of items including brunch. We opted for their Chicken biscuit and their Shrimp Bahn Mi...both of these were super flavorful and tasty. We were joined with our friends and they were also raving about this spot. They loved our menu selection and we loved theirs...they had the lobster roll and fish bites. Their lobster roll was delicious! The location and service was great! My family and I were just downtown and kind of stumbled upon the downtown location and decided to check out out for lunch. I ordered the shrimp banh mi, and i don't think it was a banh mi. It was like a bang bang shrimp sandwich. My husband ordered the hamburger, which had a really weird bun The sliders as the kids meal is a terrible choice. The sliders were on french bread which was way too think for my toddler to even take a bite of. It would have been nice to have a small kids meal board option where they could build their sandwich. My friend and finally got to try this place on Saturday 10/5/19 around 1. They have some yummy options I want to go back and try. I got the B&B fried chicken breakfast sandwich. I asked for the apple cheddar coleslaw on the side because I'm not a big fan of them usually. This one was yummy. The chicken was fried well and the apple butter was good. The biscuit they used wasn't good. I ended up taking it off. My friend agreed. It was super dry and dense. I give the sandwich a 4/5. The greens were ok. Your typical greens with some grated cheese. My friend had the Applewood Ham Benedict. She loved it. Nothing was left on her plate. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They have plenty of seating inside and out. Ordered the pork and collards sandwich which was served hot with roasted pork shoulder, smoked ham, white cheddar, mustard sauce and braised greens on their homemade baguette. Each item on the entire sandwich was perfectly portioned with just the right amount of everything to make a fantastic balance. As others have commented, the rosemary potato chips weren't very special. The description was more hype but in the end, this is a minor concern. With the size of the sandwiches I probably don't really need the chips anyway. They weren't bad but they could served bagged chips and it would have had the same result to me. Came here on Sunday for early dinner. We were concerned of closing hours but Restaurant hours are longer than the market so we were fine. Overall food was good. My son ordered burger and he claims was best burger ever. My daughter ordered wings and it too was very good. Wife and I shared Italian sandwich. It was little too salty to our tasting due to pile of meat in the sandwich. Normally I wouldn't complaint about generous portion of meat but it actually made sandwich average tasting at best. They tend to get busy during lunch time. On this visit, I ordered the Mediterranean Salad. It's has spinach, onions, olives, cucumber, tomatoes, pepperoncini vinaigrette, chickpea fritters and feta. Instead of the spinach, I asked for mixed greens and I added chicken. At $16 it's kind of pricey for a lunch salad but it's worth every penny. I can put away some food and I couldn't finish it. ENVIRONMENT: Cute little spot tucked away in downtown Jax. Small space used well inside with rustic decor. Adorable outside partially screened gazebo with picnic tables. Employees were all very pleasant, including the bus boy. Line service for ordering and you are given a number to take to your table. They carry stubborn soda if you're into that. Snag your napkins and cutlery after you checkout but before you grab your seat. Side note: they have 2 bathroom stalls next to the register- one of which has an intriguing sliding barn door, however I could not get the locking mechanism to work so I bailed and went to the 2nd bathroom which had a normal functioning door. FOOD: We tried the sweet tea turkey sandwich. Would've tried the side option of chips but they were rosemary flavored which is a hard NO for my wife, so went for the salad. The sandwich is commendable in size with deli style turkey on ciabatta bread. I had hoped the jalapeño in the mix would have balanced the flavor a bit more as it was slightly too sweet for my liking, but overall still a good sandwich; I particularly enjoyed the apple slaw component! The side salads was underwhelming as it consisted of mixed greens and nothing else. Maybe I'm boujee but a salad should have more than just lettuce & dressing, would have appreciated at least just one other topping. Unknowing the portion size, we also ordered the shawarma style grilled chicken board. Essentially the boards are a bit larger versions of their sandwich, deconstructed and served on a board. Gives great eye appeal, but honestly the board was so full I would've preferred it on a plate as simply cutting my chicken was flinging salad bits off the edges unintentionally. This full chicken breast (NOT deli meat) had excellent flavor with a complimentary yogurt sauce over a bed of shredded romaine with diced tomatoes, and 3 dinner rolls on the side. The bread was fantastic although I felt I could've definitely used a 4th roll to better match the quantity of meat. I am a petite woman with a large appetite, but it was a lot of food that I might consider sharing with someone plus a side instead of two full meals if I were to return. read more

I was a really big fan of their riverside location but very disappointed after visiting their new downtown location. Let's start with the positive, it's a cool layout and concept with great branding and a modern ambiance. The issues started when I got to the cash register to order. The two staff members taking orders were rather unpleasant and unknowledgeable. They gave off an "I don't care" and "it's annoying for me that you are here" kind of vibe. When the gentleman next to me asked if a specific item had peanuts they told him they didn't know. Then we got our food. No utensils, and not what we had ordered. When we asked for utensils, we were brought plastic ware. I had the Nashville hot fish, it wasn't bad but it was not what it was at the riverside location. I was given a very small portion of what seemed like bbq sauce, not hot sauce. I wouldn't be opposed to going back but likely won't. read more

First, the decor is very beautifully done. If it weren't raining I'd probably make use of the gazebo outside. Second, they have some good choices of food. Interesting pairings. The sandwiches come greens and herbs or Rosemary potato chips or the board which comes with no side but more meat and the sandwich taken apart. Third, I had the Crispy Farro & Chipea Dumplings. It's green tahini, spiced yogurt, tomato-parsley relish, cucumber-mint jelly, on a toasted benne baguette. Surprise of sweet and savory flavors. I had the sandwich and I chose the salad greens which was dressed lightly. Tasted good with their dressing. Fourth, had a side of fries. They were exactly like I love them. Crunchy outside and soft inside. There was a lot that came with and not greasy. Fifth, I had their most delicious Blueberry Peach Crème Brûlée. The flavors were out of this world. Roll your eyes back good. Sixth, they have beer and wine if that what you'd like. I'd love to come back and try some more dishes. Seventh, music was upbeat. Folksey but some of them had a current theme. It was nice to listen to. And not to leave the people who work here out. They're so nice, very patient and know their menu to give options.
