This place feels like you're eating at a grandparent's house. It's cozy and welcoming, but in no way tries to compete with a Denny's, Ihop, Jim's, Full Belly, etc. Very suitable for the location and experience. The staff I believe are all related, which is very unique and adds to the appeal. Very informal-neighborhood vibes. The food is always good; hot and fresh. Coffee is also consistently brewed well. It's a general morning/breakfast roast but never taste watered down. Poached eggs are done perfectly. Bacon is thick and light crisp with a good chew. Waffles and pancakes make me want to over eat every time. Biscuits I would swap for something else. Always enjoy The Broken Egg Cafe and glad they're in my general area.

Strawberry and banana French toast with eggs and bacon. This place is delicious and really cozy. Fast and great service!

This cozy cafe offers a variety of different breakfast items with fast and amazing service. So far my go to has been this strawberry and banana French toast with eggs and bacon. It smells soooo good in there :)

Breakfast was so good! Great service and nice little hidden spot on this side of town! We got the all meat omelette and strawberry French toast both were really good!

Pancakes and more , added their delicious potatoes that are perfectly seasoned

Been coming here for several years and the food still does NOT disappoint. With inflation some restaurants have traded ingredients for poor quality and I am so happy to see that their breakfast items are still great quality.

Hidden gem! Yummy breakfast. Everything came out better than expected! Forgot to take a photo before we started eating!

Great menu, great service. I'm paleo and liked the a la carte section. Everyone was happy with their food.

When it comes to food I always prefer being able to support local business/mom and pop shops. The chorizo eggs with potato and beans brought me back to breakfast with my grandparents in Mexico. This neighborhood cafe has amazing service, the staff are so friendly and the place itself is very clean. What I loved and most definitely recommend is the green salsa, I personally can't handle spicy food but when my mom told me to try it..try it. The TASTE of the salsa is delicious and has that hint of Mexico. Although I unfortunately didn't get to try the pancakes, I'll most definitely be coming back again to try them! American food with the Mexican taste!

Stopped by today at around 7:30 in the morning. The atmosphere inside of the restaurant had a very "home made" feeling. Nice lobby music playing and the young man who served us was very polite. Ordered our food and it was out in about 10 minutes. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. It looked real good but in all honestly it looked better than it tasted. It wasn't horrible by any means, but I was expecting a better taste. Chicken had a slight frozen taste and waffles lacked flavor. Food came out in a timely manner and the temperature was just right. Chicken and waffles were a sizable portion. Syrup was warm as well. I did enjoy how the food complimented the atmosphere, it was very welcoming and warm, almost like the restaurant was hugging you. In all this was a decent mom and pop type restaurant. I would recommend you stop by and give it a try. I did only try one dish, maybe their other dishes are better.

Been wanting to try a spot that didn't open until 11am and thought to try this place out. There were a ton of reviews on Yelp complaining about prices which gave me a heads up to keep my eyes peeled on $$. Service: We came in and were immediately seated. I couldn't understand the negative reviews on their food as it was quickly getting packed and customer traffic was steady but nonstop; what I called the overflow area was also getting full. Liz was our server. Before the wave of people came, her and one other woman was helping with tables, then the older man began to help when needed. There was a younger man with glasses who also helped with refills and served our food (he was very respectful and professional) - I think it's family owned, and you will see that the effort to help is there when needed. You could see this as the place was nice and clean. Food: *If you're not a fan of veggies, this may not be the plate for you* Chorizo Omelet; good but needed a bit of salt. I didn't expect so many veggies or chunks of meat. I initially asked the server if their onions would be raw or sautéed. She said raw so I asked for no onion (receipt reflects this). They weren't raw, but was served on my plate despite the request; I let her know and when she went to tell someone, she came back with the receipt. The bell peppers were raw, but the meats, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and everything else came out good.(I'm not a salt person and didn't think it would be necessary with all these ingredients, but needed it) French Toast and 2 eggs w/ sausage: we ordered and received the eggs over medium. The bread was the perfect choice; came out nice and hot. The bread did not become soggy with the syrup. Woohoo! The prices on the menu was less then what was charged. Both plates were fulfilling but not worth the cost that they are now charging. When we brought up the issue with the receipt, she spoke to the other woman and told us that the prices did change (increased) but the menu wasn't updated - they corrected it.

    Steak and Eggs

Cute little hidden gem. Food tasted great! The only two things I would suggest are better butter knives (it was hard to cut the French toast) and adding a sugar free syrup option would be nice.

Food was served piping hot and I had to let it cool down. Never ever had that. Omelets were fluffy and full of meat and veggies Cool music playing in the background. Staff was great. Clean place and really neat atmosphere. Dives are my favorite.

They had sandwiches already made in an icebox. When ordered, the guy put them in a waffle iron before serving. I had the Cubano, and let me tell you- it was the best one I have ever had. It was so crispy and delicious. My only comment is that it could have used a bit more mustard. I also had an iced Americano with Como La Flor syrup.
