Went to Burbank for the day and found this restaurant on here. Reviews looked pretty good and the food did as well. Definitely was not disappointed. I'm surprised there's only 100 something reviews bc it was amazing! The customer service was on point and so was the food! My gf got the chophouse burger with a salad and the smores cookie. Her burger was so good and so was the salad. It was well done and not too greasy. It also had this amazing sauce, tasted like mustard mixed with something else, I forgot to ask what was in it. I got the magherita grilled cheese and it was BOMB. The cheese was perfectly melted and had a lot of flavor. The bread was perfectly cooked and it came with tomato soup. I also got the goat cheese tomato soup which was super good as well. They don't have crackers but they give you bread for free. If you're going here, get the s'mores cookie!!! It has ghiradelli chocolate drizzled on top that makes it even better. Their portions are reasonable for the price. I definitely recommend this restaurant and would go back! read more

My husband and I were in California for the week and were looking for a quick lunch. We saw good reviews and stopped in here. The person taking orders was friendly and even went to the back to see if he could answer one of our questions. I ordered the crab grilled cheese and my husband got the Bentley sandwich. We got the mixed crispy fries and cucumber salad to share. I'm from Maryland so I'm a little picky when it comes to crab cakes or crab in general. The sandwich itself was grilled well, the cheese well melted and it tasted good but the crab in it tasted like generic frozen crab cake you can buy in the grocery store. No big deal overall it was fine. My husband on the other hand said that this sandwich was literally one of the best sandwiches he has ever had in his entire life. He said the steak was cooked perfectly, the bread was toasted well, good ratio of all ingredients and very tasty. Both sides that we got were good. Even if you aren't a veggie kind of person, I think this has enough flavor to get you hooked. My favorite version of "fish and chips"! There are so many layers that we can talk about. Let's start with the bun - perfectly round and toasted, the fried chips on top created an unbeatable crunchy texture, the coleslaw had a complex mayo sauce with the normal slaw ingredients plus edamame, then there's the fried fish that was not dry and not oily with a great batter. Came in on a Sunday evening with my mom and sister and we were greeted by a friendly male cashier. He provided fantastic service throughout the meal and had a great sense of humor. Fun creative sandwiches that can be converted to salads if you prefer. Favorites are the Medianoche, Chicken Parm, or the Fish Sandwich. Oh man first bite into the cookies s'mores bar that I order as an appetizer (yes, I'm an adult), and I thought perhaps this was Heaven. A few bites later I realized it's just a GREAT idea! Wow just WOW. This place does not get enough credit and I'm so glad I came across them on yelp. When I first saw the place, I was pretty confused because there was no one eating there so I questioned if it would be good or bad. We walked in and the menu wasn't too big but not too small. I ordered the chophouse burger with goat cheese and my boyfriend got the margarita grilled cheese. First off, presentation was so great !! They brought it on little cutting boards and that was a unique touch. The burger was amazing. Amazing. Meat was cooked right, the sauces inside were good. It was however a little messy, probably from the sauces but I ate it with a fork after it started falling apart and it was still just as good. The grilled cheese was unique and very good, the tomato soup with goat cheese that we ordered as a side was also unique and tasty!! For desert we got the s'mores cookie bar. It was super good, it's definitely like a cookie cake type thing, if you like cookie cake then this is for you! I wish it could have been heated up before serving but either way, it was still good! Last but not least, the service was ON TOP. Incredible service, so beyond friendly, I was honestly shocked at how good the service was. The Memphis is my favorite sandwich here. It is loaded with pulled pork and crunchy edamame and cabbage slaw with cashews and set on a soft brioche bun. It's a hand-washer, but it's totally worth it. The reason this is not a 5 Star Review is simply the price. It cost me over $30! That is waaay to much for a salad, 2 sides, and a drink. True I added chicken, but come on. I'm definitely a fan. My wife and I returned a couple more times. I tried The Bentley (the sandwich with filet mignon) and the Spaghetti & Meatballwich (self explanatory.) The Bentley is another great sandwich. The meat, again, was medium rare, juicy, and tender, and paired well with caramelized onions and blue cheese. But as much as I like blue cheese, it's a powerful flavor and can be overwhelming. This was the case with The Bentley. I wasn't able to enjoy all of the other flavors on the sandwich because of all the blue cheese. I think the sandwich would benefit from less. As for the Meatballwich, it was not nearly as good as I was expecting. It was very heavy, dense, and a bit oily. I could only finish half of it. As for the flavors, they were muted and not very bold compare to the other sandwiches I've tried. Although a novel idea, I'll be sticking with the French Dip or The Bentley. This place is ok and I am not sure why the reviews are so high. The cheapest sandwich is just under $11 but it does come with a delicious side salad. My whole grain bread was old though which is really disappointing since this is a sandwich place so I would expect them to figure out the bread situation foremost.
