Nice customer service along with some cool coffee drinks. Definitely somewhere I'd recommend to anyone.

My friend invited me for a coffee for some catching up. We meet up after her work and before my shift starts. It was a weekday night so we were able to find a parking spot in the small private parking. While walking to the store, we can see from outside that all the tables are occupied. So we decided to get one of the tables outside. Good thing we were dressed for the cold night. We both ordered a blended drink. I got myself a Hazelnut and I find it okay. Nothing special about it. While my friend got a Mango. She wasn't happy about it so she had it redone like 3 times until she was okay with it. It is not how she wanted but got tired of redoing it. So glad the barista was glad to have it redone over and over again. (She's probably cursing my friend inside though haha). *no drive thru *they close late and gives you a heads up 10minutes early

    Half the drink is crazy....

Came in while it was empty, the place is really clean, was in and out of there under ten minutes (felt like five) with my large vanilla ice blended coffee

I wish we had Coffee Beans in the bay area, where I'm from We came here twice during our vacation. I tried two of their cold brew fruit teas. Also my hubby is a huge fan of their chorizo and egg burrito. I think it's just a pre-made burrito, that they throw in the toaster oven. But he thinks it's so tasty and flavorful. I really liked their tea. The peach jasmine is yummy and fruity. They have a special strawberry blended tea with a foam cap. I think I was expecting more of a salty cheese cap (like they have at boba teahouses) but the foam was sweet. And I'm not a huge fan of blended drinks, as I'm a slow drinker, so it's always melts before I can really enjoy the blended-ness. Also I found it didn't have a huge tea flavor. It was kinda a gimmicky drink. Stick to their straight cold brew teas.

Came in today to grab a couple of drinks and found out this location serves boba! The drinks were delicious and the baristas were knowledgeable and friendly. We got the Ceylon Milk Tea with brown sugar boba and it was great! The store was also very clean and well maintained.

Late study session...so hard to find coffee shops open at night these days...thanks for being open!

Ask the Community - The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Why does this location keep closing?

The first time this location closed, the baristas were helping out the Encino CBTL. This past closure was because of the baristas got sick, so CBTL wasn't taking any chances. However, everyone is fine.

They use Onyx (from what i noticed), and the sound of the milk being steamed sounded silky (-: ! The layout of the cafe is nice: entry/line formation moves in a counter clockwise motion. Allows customers to enter space and wait in line while leaving space for people to exit/ wait to pick up their drink. First come, first serve for pastries - expect this for freshness purposes. Drink and their components are measured for consistency and quality control. Wait is subjective in relation to volume at the time which you go. Came in at about 1:30 PM on a Sunday (today was 8/16). Curated menu for their specialty drinks that aligns with their identity. Standard menu for espresso based beverages. Great selection for their Single Origin menu. Roasters they use align with those they highlight on their shelves for retail as a multi-roaster cafe. Ordered a Columbia from Hydrangea - enjoyed thoroughly! When it was still quite hot you get the heavy aroma and flavor of the pastry notes in the coffee. Then more tea-like once it cools down more. Coldbrew in the Woodman did not feel like your typical bold-in-flavor base. Which I think works for the inclusions in the beverage. Not your typical/second wave coffee shop. It's cool to see shops want to bridge that gap between fun drinks and specialty coffee! Kudos to Lynx!

It was 7:58 a.m., and I stopped in to grab my usual coffee before my appointment next door. I accidentally left my wallet at home, my Apple Pay wasn't working, and the only cash I had was a $100 bill. My total was only $8.50. I even offered a simple solution--I asked if another employee could pay for my coffee and I would immediately Zelle them the money. All three employees told me that was "beyond their job duties" and refused to help. Instead, they pointed to the sign stating they don't accept $100 bills and had me leave without making any effort to accommodate a regular customer. The disappointing part isn't that they couldn't break a $100 bill--it's that no one showed even the slightest willingness to help find a solution. I come here almost every Friday because I have appointments at the salon next door, and after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. A little kindness and customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, I found neither here.

My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, although almost all the pastries were already sold out, so I'm guessing the real rush is in the mornings. Overall, I personally wasn't a fan, mainly because the drinks and most of the food felt pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was honestly the most bland matcha I've had, which is surprising considering there was strawberry puree in it. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche. I really enjoyed it and would come back for that specifically, although it did feel a little pricey for what it was. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if someone else wanted to go, I wouldn't object.

Now the inside is nothing special to be honest and its overall not a place I would say is good for working or studying, more for hanging out. There isn't too much seating so just be wary of that and parking was a bit annoying where I had to street park with meters, although there are plenty of spots. The service was fast and attentive and would definitely come again. I drove all the way here just to try it and left satisfied.

And ONLY Rap. It was so annoying. I guess this is what the new generation loves. Walked in yesterday at 2:15pm, and got a very nice, pleasant, warm welcome from Michael and Joey. Both great and happy kids. Michael took my order and was pretty knowledgeable with the menu. I ordered the Crema Burrito that came with: Tator Tots, Scrambled eggs, Avocado, and Jalapeño. They had 2 of the same Burrito. One with Bacon, and the other one w/out ($15.56). Portion of the Burrito was very small for the price, and was lukewarm. Food overall along with beverages were expensive! I also got a single butter Croissant and asked him to warm it up. The Croissant was nicely warm, flaky, buttery and very good! ($6.23). The Baked Goods case was practically empty. Wanted a Blueberry Muffin, and they were out. Last but not least, got their 16oz. Coconut Cloud Matcha ($9.34). Matcha was made perfectly. I still had to water it down a little. The flavor hit the mark though. Trying to get more familiar with different types of Matchas. The Coffee Shop was clean and very quaint. Also, comfortable seating with round, brown cushions. When you walk in, it's hard to miss the nice motorcycle right in the middle of the shop. I wanted to know what did that represent? Michael said that the owners wife bought that for her husband. Where can I get one? The husband, not the motorcycle.:-) They have no parking, only street and metered. Nice outdoor seating all around. I thought that they would also have some breakfast items like egg, bacon, sausage, cheese etc..they didn't. They only had plain bagel and Cream Cheese. My Latte tasted very good, on the flip side the Croissant wasn't as warm and fresh as I wanted for it to be. I asked the ladies behind the counter to warm it up again. The muffin was very fresh and delicious. Lauren handed me the Latte and my goodies. I don't want to dock a star for the Croissant, but it could have been a lot more fresh. Place was clean, with one gender neutral restroom, inside and outside seating, and the price was right for the 3 items that I got. $14.00 in total plus my tip of $2.00. Street parking only, woman owned, beautiful art work on their walls by famous artists, merchandise for sale, and nice music from the 80's playing overhead. Last but not least, under the businesses amenities page it says, no dogs allowed. It was dogs galore inside and outside. No offense to people who have dogs, but outside is ok, not inside..
