4.5 stars. Food is good. Service is pretty good. Overall, good experience. Will be back. Oh, they gave us a sample of the bone broth. It was delish. Can't wait to try their soups. FOOD: Seafood Pancake 4.5/5 Seasoning and taste is spot on even without the sauce. Bibimbap 3.9/5 Probably should have gotten it in the Hot Stone. This room temperature one was okay.

The Dae Mun is a welcomed addition in a limited selection of Korean restaurants in the SGV! The menu has plenty to choose from such as bulgogi/sullung-tang/raw marinated crab/bossom. The dishes we tried were all tasty and were almost comparable to some of the k-town heavy hitters. They also give an amazing complimentary savory bone broth in a cup and have great service in a modern designed space. -seafood pancake was loaded with green onions/squid/shrimp/and a few small clams. -classic bulgogi was seasoned very well mixed with squash, onion and carrots. -sullung tang was also a light broth with tender brisket. -bossom was tender and flavorful paired with cabbage wraps and seasonings - complimentary Banchan quality and selection was solid Pro Tip: Parking is available in the structure attached to the building but is limited, but there are plenty of street parking on 4th & 5th St. Also, I hope the lunch special stays permanently!

First time trying this spot and we loved it! Our server, Jenny, was so sweet and helpful when we ordered. We loved the bone broth served at the beginning of each meal! We ended up ordering the mul naengmyeon and LA Galbi combo. The cold noodle portion was HUGE! We had even bought another order and realized we could've shared one. The LA Galbi was also super tender! Overall, everything was great here (even the r&b playlist that was on while we ate lol)! We'll definitely be back again :)

They give you free bone broth when you arrive which is perfect because it was a cold evening. Gamjatang had alot of broth and tasted clean but it feels like there wasnt enough meat. The only meat was from the bone. 3/5 because of the meat portion. The seafood pancake was good. It was alot bigger than expected and they give a decent amount of shrimp. We asked for the pancame to be cut into smaller pieces instead of 6. 4.5/5 Server also packed my broth. Surprised his hands didnt burn. I will be back to try their raw marinated crab. Roomy and has AC

I wanted to like this place more because the staff is extremely welcoming but the food doesn't taste the best (yet)! We ordered the squid hot plate and the bossam which both were small portions in my opinion for the price. The squid hot plate had way too much sugar that are rice crystalized within a minute and it was left super hard. The sauce was way too sweet and it was not spicy at all. The bossam needs some work. They gave us really large pieces of cabbage stem and they were hard to chew and bite on. Usually bossam has thin cabbage pieces to properly wrap and eat bossam. The garlic used is not fresh garlic slices like I'm used to and they use jarlick. The sides are good, I think the best part of the meal was the bachan. For the same price or cheaper I think I'll just stick to going to Ktown for Korean food.

Obviously, our new favorite Korean restaurant in Alhambra, which keeps bringing us back, their delicious food! Every time we come, we try something new on the menu tonight, was no exception! Excellent customer service, thanks Emery! See you soon...

Food - 5/5 - When you sit down, they serve you a complimentary small cup of bone broth to start your appetite! The menu has a good amount of selection that does set this a bit different from other Korean places in the area! We ordered the bossam, soy marinated crab and the seafood pancake and it did not disappoint! Everything was so good. The seafood pancake was fragrant and crispy, full of veggies and you definitely get bites of seafood. The marinaded crab was a small medium crab with a bowl of rice on the side. There seems to be a lot of roe and crab butter which is the best! They provide gloves for you to enjoy the crab without mess. The bossam was tender and the fresh wraps made it incredibly enjoyable. The banchan was plentiful and a good amount of variety, I enjoyed each one, especially the honey nut mix! **Please be advised that if you have any particular food allergies, let the staff know before ordering to ensure your safety as allergens, like nuts, are in the kitchen** Price - $$ - The pricing for this place compared to portion size is pretty average. It's not budget friendly but the price point is about $25-30 per person depending on what you get to share. Service - 5/5 - The servers here are incredibly attentive and notice your needs quite well. They know when to step in and provide help or ask if you may need something. They're incredibly generous and are very helpful. Ambiance - 5/5 - The interior is cozy and bright. The mood and smells tell you that you will have a good meal once you walk in. Location - 2/5 - As this is located on Main Street in downtown Alhambra, parking on this side of Main Street is not ideal but they do have a private structure in the back. It does get crowded due to it being shared so just be aware of the chance of parking on the street. ____________ **Note: Location rating does not affect yelp review, this is just for informative purposes of other patrons only.

Yukhoe. Looks Impressive but tasted too sweet for me.

Okay, I've tried this place on two different occasions ordering very different things to see how it compares to other korean spots... Yeah I'm sorry, maybe i'm ordering the wrong things... Service is great and the place is clean and modern. Food: Banchans are unique, their complimentary broth is delicious... My sister ordered cold noodles, said it was ok. not impressed. I was not impressed with their Yukhoe. It was my first time having it and I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it was just.. too sweet and bland and not what I imagined. Their Buchu Minari pancake was not consistent. I came on two different occasions and they were prepared differently. Also... I HATE when my pancake is sprinkled with panko... Second time I tried their Somori Gomtang but it tasted like old beef and there was minimal slivers of protein in the broth. I was so disappointed in the quality and the quantity. I have yet to try their raw marinated crab or Bossam, but I am not sure if i should return to give this place a try after two disappointing visits.

Hubby & I have dined in once for lunch on a Sunday, and we thought it was okay. First impression is that their meat portions are quite little. Their banchan and complimentary broth are good. I was not a fan of their Sullungtang (#3), as I feel you can get better elsewhere around SGV. Mixed meat amount wasn't very much and I didn't feel like the broth was thick enough. We also ordered their BBQ Combo (#28) with Bulgogi & Cold Broth Noodle. Again, bulgogi portion was a bit small. I did like their Cold (Buckwheat) Noodles. I did see that their specialty is Ganjang Gejang (Soy Raw Marinated Crab), which I will have to try with another visit since we just had some when we visited Seoul...and would also like to try to their Bossam. However, I do feel their prices are a bit on the higher side. Will update when we try!

New Korean spot in Alhambra, CA that's definitely worth checking out. They specialize in authentic skillet-style rice dishes along with traditional Korean favorites, all served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The quality of ingredients really stands out! The space is surprisingly large and comfortable, making it great for groups, and the service is attentive and welcoming. A nice touch--they serve hot bone broth as soon as you're seated. Solid experience overall and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

Stopped by Dae Mun since I heard it was the newest korean restaurant in the valley. It was described as the sister restaurant of Sun Nong Dan so I was intrigued. We ordered the vegetable pancake, bulgogi and naengmyeon combo + galbi jjim with cheese. The vegetable pancake came first and it was good but slightly too crispy/fried for me. There was also seafood in it and I got confused because it was advertised as vegetable (and I don't eat seafood). The galbi jjim was just as heavy as other restaurants but a lot smaller than expected with the potato being uncooked and crunchy! If we had ordered it alone for our party of 6, we definitely would not have been full. Lastly, the bulgogi was a bit flavorless and the naengmyeon (my first time trying it!) was a little too sour for my taste - noodle chewiness was on point though! Overall, don't think I would come back. I did really enjoy their walnut peanut side dish and the bone broth shots (lol).

Went to try this new Korean place in Alhambra, overall not too bad for Korean food, total came out to be around $25 per person. Highlights: 1. Complementary bone broth! This is probably the only place I've ever been to that serves you bone broth for free 2. Side dishes - refillable (except for the premium one on the white place), and goes well with rice 3. Oxtail soup - soothing soup, came with a good amount of oxtail bones, served fresh in a pot I think this place has a lot of potential and I had a pleasant experience trying it out. I like how it is conveniently located on Main Street, and the interior was quite nice. We also had fairly good service, although it took a while for me to get my check. The Korean food scene in LA is highly competitive, so I'm hoping this place can differentiate itself from other restaurants by the time of their grand opening!

The Dae Mun has a classically modern Korean feel and one of the stand outs were the complimentary hot bone broth drink wassuch a good idea and I loved it. The green onion pancake (buchu minari jeon) was huge and had good flavor but it wasn't as crispy as I would have liked it - I think they should serve it on a hot stone plate to limit it from getting soggy. The galbijimm was very tasty as well and the vegetables really soak in the delicious sauce especially the broccoli. The meat was not chewy, but it also wasn't as tender as I would have liked. Overall, very solid place and there's still a couple items I would like to try.

Best part? We saw Shelly, our favorite girl that works here! She's always so sweet, kind, and welcoming every single time we visit. It honestly makes the experience even better when you're greeted by familiar friendly faces. We came around 7:30 PM and the wait was only about 10 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering how popular this place gets. Service was quick, efficient, and the food kept coming out fast. Plenty of tables inside, so it never felt too cramped. This time around we ordered: * Jap Chae * Bulgogi with Beef & Seafood Tofu Combo * Spicy Pork w/ seafood & beef combo * Teriyaki Chicken w/ seafood & beef tofu * Bulgogi with All Seafood & Beef Tofu Combo And of course... the unlimited refills of the banchan are always one of the best parts. Honestly, sometimes I think I could make a full meal out of just those alone. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and exactly why we keep coming back every couple of months. I will say the prices have slowly been creeping up little by little each visit, but honestly, we still enjoy it every time. Still our go-to tofu spot and definitely one we'll continue bringing family and friends to. Happy eats!

It made me do a double take after not visiting for a while! Take advantage of the complimentary refills! I liked the kimchi so much that I bought a large container to-go. I've been eating it daily ever since. It's on the sweeter side, not totally tart. Here's what we ordered: **Beef Tofu Sou (Medium Spicy): Easily one of the worst tofu soup (soondubu) I've ever had. First off, when I added the egg, the soup wasn't boiling so the egg didn't cook through. The soup base hardly had any spicy kick. The soup itself was very bland and had no authentic soondubu flavor.
