The service and food were outstanding. Bianca is a wonderful and welcoming hostess and Emma was a fantastic server. I always say service is just as important as the food. We started with the fresh and delicious seafood tower and then ordered many other items such as the clam black seafood linguine, delicious Cherrystone clams, octupus which were all fresh and delicious. I thought the overall experience was good, and this place is definitely worth a try, depending on the specifics one may be looking for. My friend and I did not try the lobster fra diavolo, which a lot of people did, but we did try the aglio olio black pasta just like a lot of others. The pasta was very well-seasoned, but the calamari that I had requested to be added was not seasoned at all, so I thought the pasta itself was sufficient from a taste standpoint. The pasta came in a small wok, which was pretty cool. The mussel Siciliano was pretty good, and there were a lot of mussels in there. It was not spectacular, but worth a try for sure. I enjoyed the grilled octopus, and the beans along with it were even better as they were seasoned very well. For the monkfish marsala, the fish itself was a bit dry, and relied on the sauce for flavor, but the sauce tasted really good! The waiter even brought us more bread for us to dip in the remaining sauce! We got the tiramisu for dessert, and I enjoyed it very much! Definitely recommending that. We originally went to the main location on Hanover St but it's closed temporarily for renovations. We opted for this location which was only open from 4pm til 10pm. It did not disappoint. Of course we went to try the Lobster Fra Diavolo for one. IT WAS SOOO GOOD. The pasta noodles were cooked to perfection and the flavor was spot on. It was actually very spicy in the best way (I'm Asian)! My mom made fun of the fact that there was only one small lobster on the plate to share between 2 people. Ha! We ordered other dishes and cocktails but none were worth mentioning alongside the awesome Fra Diavolo. Also, this location by the water is beautiful and the ambiance inside made for such a cozy good time with family and friends. Plan to wait at least 20 minutes even with a reservation. We are here for my best friend birthday and came to Boston for it from New Hampshire We were so excited to come and spend the night out in Boston for her birthday . She is very particular and has come here before and wanted to come for her birthday. She asked for a salad with the dressing of balsamic vinaigrette. The ambiance was fabulous, very comfortable on a hot day. Our food was equally fabulous, as was the hospitality and service of the staff. Fish and Chips were high quality and tasty, and lobster was fresh and well prepared. We prefer the ambiance of the Atlantic Avenue location, over the cramped/limited seating, but cozy, Hanover Street location. The food is spectacular at both. read more

I would not recommend this restaurant . Maybe the old daily catch on Hanover street is okay. First of all, the waiter in the front door lied to us, they said the menus and the prices are exactly the same as the one on Hanover street. They are not the same. Secondly, when I asked the calamari "is it fresh, or frozen?", she said FRESH. When it came, it is definitely frozen. I told the manager, it is not fresh, the manager told me, they bought them fresh, then they clean the squid and put them in freezer. He is very rude and just took the plate away and didn't even ask whether I would like something else. So the waitress lied. Third, the owner came out and told me that the squid is frozen when they caught, so they are the best I can get. Now I don't know whether the manager lied or the owner lied. Would you like to go to a restaurant with so many liars? On top it, the squid ink noodle is nothing special. This is the second time I've been to the daily catch and the first time I tried the squid ink pasta. Wow the flavors of this dish "Aglio Olio" was amazing! The chopped up pieces that I figured out that wasn't just garlic, but a great combination of garlic to calamari. There was more calamari in it than there was garlic. So the dish itself isn't garlicky as hell. I also got the raw bar sampler and fried calamari which were also good. The main dish though took whole show.
