I had much higher expectations of this place then what we experienced recently - especially with the high Yelp reviews - must be local friends supporting the local establishments. The menu was meager, strange and short on availability. It was like they couldn't figure out what to make or what to focus on - it was a mix of random dishes. Their prices were also on the high side (even for Mammoth). The service was a joke - you had to order at a order desk for food and then go order your beer separately at the bar - seriously?! The order lady was no help whatsoever in helping to decide what to order from the funky menu above her head. It took a long time to get our food (over 20 mins and the place was rather empty). The server also forgot things, like napkins. I was looking forward to trying the Philly Steak sandwich which seems to be the most "normal" dish, but they were out (???) I did not really like any of the other dishes, but I went with the Bison Burger (I am NOT a picky eater). My two friends ordered the Bison Burger, Crispy pork belly Reuben and Tator Tots. The only thing that we all liked was the Tator Tots. The Bison Burger was just so, so - small and very plain with few ingredients. The Crispy pork belly reuben tasted okay, but it was very small and not what we expected. ALL the dishes were way over priced in all of our opinions. Re the beer, I tasted two and only one was just so, so. In the past I had their Wheat (Hefeweizen) beer, which was good, but they discontinued it a while ago. I don't mind waiting in line to order food the cashier was nice. But when being charged for your order they also put THREE OPTIONS FOR TIPS and this is before your order is serve or you receive service. My tip always depends on how good the server is. 2.) This is why I'm going down to 2 stars. I had ordered 20 wings, I told the Manger that I thought my wings were under cooked I showed him the wings also the ones that my friends had from my plate. They were a little bloody and red still. He then tells me that that's how they are flash fried!! But if I want he will fry the rest of my wings, he does. and brings them back but now very dry. THE POINT IS THAT HE TOOK MY PLATE FROM MY TABLE THAT I TOUCHED AND PUT THEM BACK IN THE FRYER WERE EVERYONE FOOD IS FRIED. Not once did I ask for free food or item nor did he offer or apologize. 3.) It was about 4 in the afternoon when we sat down, expecting an easy pizza stop. The sun was still high, the place had that casual daytime hum, and I thought this would be a simple in-and-out. Instead, the experience started off rocky with their QR code ordering system. The menu itself was straightforward, but then came the hoops: type in your phone, your email, drop card info into a third-party site, and before a slice even hit the table, my inbox was buzzing with texts. The part that really stuck out? The app asked for tips before service even started. That's not hospitality -- that's backwards. Thankfully, once the food showed up, things improved. We shared two flatbread pizzas -- pepperoni and BBQ chicken -- both fresh, with a thin crispy crust and toppings that actually worked. The pepperoni had that nostalgic comfort, while the BBQ chicken brought a sweet-savory kick that stood out. For Boise, it felt a little elevated compared to the usual chain pie. The bill for the two pizzas came to $42.66. Not outrageous, but for a casual 4PM bite, it lands on the higher side. Still, the flavor held its ground and kept the meal from being a total miss. Final call: solid 3.5 stars. The pizzas deserve love, the ordering system needs a rethink. At the end of the day, I'd come back for the BBQ chicken flatbread -- but I'd much rather order from a human than from an app. read more

There are lots of reviews that talk about the food and beer. The EATery doesn't serve beer. Mammoth Brewing Co. does. These are 2 separate businesses in the same building. It makes things a little inconvenient since you can't ask your waiter for another beer. You have to go line up at the bar again. But the food was creative and yummy! I got the crispy chicken with griddle cakes and added an egg, which you have the option of doing for any meal. There was a lot going on with the chicken with the duck flavoring, griddle corn cakes, raspberry sauce and egg. I didn't understand it, but it all somehow worked together extremely well! I also tried the bread fries with the pale ale cheese sauce. That cheese sauce was very good! I'm not sure it mattered what you were dipping into it. My husband had the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza and liked it. He picked off the peppers since they were a bit too spicy, and he typically likes spicy food. The menu photo posted from April 2017 is already an old menu. They do still have most of the things on there but no SOS and they added 3 types of hot dogs and thai steak is coming soon. This was our first time to Mammoth Brewing Company since The Eatery opened earlier this month inside the brewery. It was fun to look out the large windows as snow fell outside. Our servers were attentive and helped with recommendations. Everything is portioned for sharing. Here's what we ordered: Meat and Cheese Duo - served with a ridiculously good Peach Ghost Pepper Chutney Hop Tots - made with spent hops, this updated version of the crispy Tater Tot is not to be missed! Irish Caesar Salad - kale, Brussel sprouts, Parmesan cheese, house made croutons, and the best pieces of bacon ever Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwich - fried green tomatoes are a surprise in the middle of this warm, crunchy, cheesy sandwich Shrimp Flat Bread Pizza - pesto, roasted tomatoes, and shrimp top yummy flat bread... will definitely order this again Must visit The Eatery again since there are more items on the menu to be tried! read more

This is one of the BEST burgers in town, hands down. I cannot get enough of their fries and tots too. They have an Irish Ceaser salad that my wife loves, you can add steak and an egg to it, making it the best spot in town for an amazing bite. It has 2 levels of seating and is wonderful for date night or even a big party. Make sure you say thanks ti Billy, he is the best. I go here usually at least once a week. One of my favorites. Food was cold, like take the waffle cut fries out of the freezer and put them on the metal serving tray cold. Asked if we could get hot fries to go with our cold burgers and the blonde female was so incredibly rude.(there is really no rhyme or reason to their staff. No real server. Hard to find help. The beer is good, and a great vibe, but I'm always confused by the menu. Every thing I read is just a little off and weird, then the only thing that I think sounds appetizing is the most expensive thing on the menu ($35). They need to real the menu in a little. It's like arugula on pizza (which I think might be on the menu), it just isn't for everyone. read more

Horrible service. Tries to be hip and fresh, but at the end of the day the food is marginal and the service is poor. They missed a meal for one of our party, then asked if we wanted to tip when we re-ordered! Seriously? Then it took 22 minutes to bring out the food. We were just there and the bar service was excellent. We wanted to eat but service didn't start until 3:30...I waited in line until 3:35 no server came. Poor service...maybe their food is that good to make people wait but I'll eat elsewhere. read more
