What really threw me off though was a staff member cleaning nearby who said out loud, "Did animals eat here or what?" while we were still sitting there. That was pretty disrespectful and uncomfortable. Overall, mixed experience. Great service from Matt and nice atmosphere, but I'd probably come back just for drinks or something light not the boil.

The Gin has quickly turned into one of our favorite places to eat whenever we are in Prosper. Every time we go the food comes out fresh and cooked with real care. The Texas Wagyu Chicken Fried Steak is incredible and easily one of the best I have had in a long time. You have to save room for the Sopapilla Cheesecake because it is amazing and the perfect way to end the meal. The staff are welcoming and always make sure you have everything you need. Being a new resident here in prosper, I'm realizing how awesome the food is! The atmosphere has a charming, laid back feel that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy yourself. We went to The Gin for lunch, and it was a great experience. The ambiance is wonderful, featuring a large covered outdoor patio where pets are welcome. They also have live music or you can catch a game on the back patio. The service is excellent. As for the food, we ordered the fried pickles, and they were amazing. What a hidden gem. It does not look like much outside. Or inside for that matter. But I'm glad I gave this place a try. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. It's stereotypical for a restaurant to have bad service but this place is not one of them. All the waiters were super nice and knowledgeable. Recently opened Bar in Prosper, Texas. Separated extension of the Cotton Gin Cafe with the same owners but different style. Custom built out bar with inside seating and a lounge area as well as a massive covered patio and backyard. Live music every weekend evening, 10+ jumbo flatscreen TV's, full service bar and phenomenal craft cocktail/beer/wine (by the glass or bottle) menu. Small town mentality with a big personality. Food came out kind of slow as well but it was definitely worth the wait. My bread for the club sandwich was falling apart because it was so fresh. And highly recommend splurging the calories to get the Mac & Cheese because it was pretty delicious.
