The biggest let down. Listen to the reviews on slow service... our party of 2 had been seated 30 minutes before any server approached us, then another 30 until our food arrived. The restaurant was less than half full, so I was extra disappointed when the food wasn't even freshly made. My harvest salad had full apple slices that had been soaked in lemon juice (to prevent browning) and were mushy. The "roasted sweet potato" cubes were wrinkly, slimy and room temp. Our burger was missing toppings. The Italian pizza roll appetizer is FRIED, not baked. Our server herself was kind and gracious - she was great. Come here for an elevated sports bar. They have plenty of TV's and above average food for a sports bar. We came for an early dinner and the service was surprisingly very slow considering it wasn't busy at all. We had to find the waiter a couple of times when we needed something. We got the Goat burger with farmhouse tots as our side and the hot chicken pizza. Unfortunately, they didn't ask how we wanted our burger cooked and just served it to us well done. I think it had potential to be a really good burger, but it was pretty flavorless since it was cooked for so long. Make sure to ask for the temperature you want if they don't ask you. The pizza was pretty good. The crust was amazing. It was a little crispy and tasted a bit like parmesan. The pimiento cheese was good as well. The chicken was dry though. I also question the name because there was nothing hot about it. The pimiento cheese was mild and the chicken had no sauce on it. The farmhouse tots were probably my favorite thing we got. At a $4 upgrade charge they aren't cheap though and you don't get much when you get them as a side. Overall, the meal was good. It was also fairly expensive for what you got. We've been here years ago and the one in Hilliard and both times were underwhelming. So when we were downtown and saw Condados was closed we came here instead. I don't know if they fired all their old chefs and got new ones but everything was hot, fresh, tasty, and delicious. The wings were fresh and tasty, the bleu and black burger was great, the house made tots were a surprise, not as good as The Pearls house made tots but still delicious, and the Mahi Mahi tacos were well executed as well. In addition the service was good as well. We'll come back to this location first before ever going back to Hilliard. read more

TLDR: decent pizza and reasonable pricing. Some of the worst service I've ever received. I came for coffee and lunch the other day to kill a couple of hours while I worked from home on a Monday. The place was mostly empty outside of a few other people are working remotely. It's corporate cozy but on the outside looks as good as any to sit for a few hours. It was 11:30am when I arrived so I figured I would start with coffee. They had a nice seasonal selection so I decided on the salted caramel latte. Emphasis on the salted but this drink is still decent. Just be prepared for it not to be as sweet as the name salted caramel might suggest. The worst of it comes to food. Around noon we decided to order lunch and after tracking down our waiter (to be fair I understand having to get up and look for him since we were just sitting on our laptops) we order the goat on horseback pizza on gluten free crust and two salads as appetizers. About 30-40 minutes pass and our waiter returns saying they are out of gluten free crust. Not a big deal but why did it take over 30 minutes to notify us. He said the cooks were working on our order and whatever we ordered as replacement would go to the front of the queue. We then ordered the goat on horseback breakfast scramble (they have brunch until 2pm which is nice). Another 30 minutes pass and still nothing, not even the salads. I have to get up and look all over the restaurant for our waiter. I had to get the hostess to go track down our waiter who was hanging out in the kitchen. I asked him about the status of our food and he said the salads were ready but he forgot to bring them to us. When we finally got our food it was cold and underwhelming. The Tator tots were also burnt and looked like they were a complete afterthought. Who knows how long it had been sitting. If you're looking for just coffee or a drink downtown this place is ok but be prepared to wait a long time for mediocre at best food. read more

Great place to meet up with other downtown friends. Living downtown (and directly across the street from it), it is a very convenient spot for me. I'm not sure if I would be going if it were not for the mere convenience. It would also be great to go if you're coming downtown to go visit the Columbus Commons or Scioto Mile. This can also make a great spot during the day to get a coffee and focus on school or work stuff. For those coming from outside of downtown, parking is available on the street (pay by phone or meter) or you can utilize the Columbus commons parking garage. And parking is always free on the streets on Sundays, which is a major perk! Small outdoor spot in the front and larger outdoor patio in the back of the restaurant. In fact, part of the bar does open up to the outside patio in the back which is nice. Be mindful of the time of day you are going as each of the patios get different types of sun due to the high rise buildings. Unfortunately you can't necessarily expect to get a lot of sun during certain hours of the day, but this is just a typical downtown thing no matter where you go. Food is good. I've eaten in the restaurant and gotten takeout and never had any major complaints. I often get an appetizer, the tater tots, or a side of the sweet potato fries if I just need something to mindlessly eat while drinking with friends. As for drinks, beer list is decent, wine list is not the best in my opinion (but I can be fairly picky with wine selection). Cocktails also available. Happy Hour is from 3-7 pm during the week. Not all drinks are included, but there are some wines, cocktails, and beers that are on special. I think there are food specials throughout the week depending on the day. During the day, I do love to get coffee from morning ritual (the coffee shop within the Goat and also has a walk up window outside on High St). The coffee is great, but many of the drinks are overpriced in my opinion. I can get the same drink at other coffee shops nearby for several dollars less. I don't remember the exact time but I think their coffee drinks are also available for discount during happy hour in the afternoon which is always great and makes the price more reasonable. I've gotten several of the pastries and breakfast sandwiches with my coffee and everything is good. The phone app is super easy too if you want to order food or coffee ahead of time! I use it pretty frequently and never have issues. read more

Visiting from out of town and was looking for a bite to eat before a wedding locally. Came to the goat hoping for a quick meal and it was the complete opposite. We were sat immediately to a restaurant that was almost entirely empty except for 3 or 4 tables. It took 15 mins for someone to acknowledge that we were even here. Another 10 mins to get our drinks in which we only received one. We ordered our food when we ordered drinks and it took us 45 mins to get our meal. Don't get the wings because they will come out cold. Would've been better off going to the local McDonalds down the street. If I were you I would keep looking. read more

Mahi Tacos - oh, WOW. I'm not a fan of fish tacos, seriously. I needed fish to offset the chicken and beef I've had this week. So the best choice in my hunger driven quest was the Mahi Tacos. The best I've ever had. The tortillas were fresh and folded without disintegrating even on the last one. Course, I ate the other two so fast, it's likely why it survived so well, haha. The size of the fish chunks were impressive but not overwhelming. They fish just seemed to melt away allowing the other flavors to seep in where the texture leaves off. Perfect combination of taste, spice and texture that I look for. The service is great, the manager stopped by to see how my meal was and I simply conveyed my satisfaction. Very humble response and appreciated that I came by. Ambiance is good. Young and mature professionals both seem to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere with music that is just the right level to drown out the ambient conversations nearby. I'm genuinely confused as to what happened. I live right down the block and have been to The Goat a few times. I've used their take out window and sat down inside. Today my partner and i decided to have a quite brunch and decided on the Goat which is within walking distance. There couldn't be more than 10 tables on this "busy" Saturday yet here we are sitting OVER an hour later with no food. We talked to 3 different waiters and NONE of them had any idea where our food was? What kind of service is that? When we got seated two waiters actually came up to us to take our order so there is a lack of communication within the staff. It took 20 minutes to get our coffee then another 20 to get sugar.... Tables came and went while we were just sitting there hungry, looking stupid. I'm extremely disappointed in The Goat. Not sure what happened but this ain't a way to run a restaurant. Just to reiterate, we arrived at 10:39am, got our food at 12:05 pm. I understand stuff happens and it's not the waitstaff's fault , but that has nothing to do with me...your customer. Welcome to the neighborhood, Goat! My friend and I stopped in last Thursday for some happy hour action and we weren't disappointed! I was so pleasantly surprised by the interior. I expected the restaurant to be much smaller but it is super spacious. I love the design and every element is so sleek and cool. I have been to The Goat in New Albany a time or two in the past and it is more of a dive so this was a very unexpected delight. My friend and I were seated at a small table and presented with the happy hour specials. On Thursdays, they have $5 tacos and $4 cocktails. I tried both their Blueberry Mule and the Elderberry. The Elderberry was the best one, by far! It was so good. I also tried the blackened fish tacos. For $5 I got a couple of tiny but delicious tacos! I really liked the flavor and the fresh fish. My friend got the chicken tacos and she said hers were really good as well. I am interested in coming back and trying more of their menu for sure. Our server also did an excellent job. He had a bright smile and was very diligent in checking on us despite the fact that the restaurant was super crowded and busy. My only complaint with this place is that it is very dark inside and very loud. I definitely was rushing through my food because I wanted to move on to the next place because I was the noise levels and lighting made me uncomfortable. I am hoping that it isn't always like this but if it is, this may become more of a lunch spot for me than a happy hour or dinner place. I have to say I was pretty excited by their breakfast menu and was hopeful for some good biscuits but was unfortunately let down. Nothing was spectacular about the food and the Spanish Latte I got was also nothing to write home about. I ordered a side of biscuits with their apple butter, hot chicken biscuit, and a Spanish latte. Unfortunately, they ended up giving me an egg and cheese biscuit and not the hot chicken biscuit so that was a sad realization as I was hoping for some hot chicken in the morning. The biscuits aren't bad, just nothing special. Like I will admit, a breakfast sandwich from Mcdonalds is already quite amazing and I will fight those who don't agree so if you want to stand out, step it up. I was hoping the hot chicken would be a great change from other biscuit sandwiches but alas I never got to try it. The biscuits themselves are large and a great value, crumbly but a bit dry. The apple butter was not actually apple butter, just apple sauce. There is a difference and they should probably advertise it for what it is. Either way, nothing stood out for me from what I tried of their breakfast. I'll probably have to give them another shot in the future though. read more

The Goat is an upscale sports bar that sports a large menu and wide variety of alcoholic drinks. I dropped by for happy hour and the deals weren't spectacular: a few bucks off canned beer and cocktails. They did have a good selection of Ohio craft beers, both on tap and in cans. I tried the boneless wings with ranch (which costs extra). Apparently the Goat prides itself on everything being made in-house. The wings and sauce were tasty and decently spicy: I ordered the mild sauce and it was a perfectly spicy buffalo flavor. The ranch was really unique, very light with lots of flavor and character. I ordered a house salad with chicken. I chose the balsamic vinegar dressing and it was excellent: mild and rich. The chicken was cooked nicely, though the lettuce and tomatoes weren't the freshest (granted this was in November), and topping the salad with shredded cheddar was a bit non-standard. The restaurant and bar is large and comfortable and the staff was friendly and efficient. They have mouthwash in the bathroom, and Columbus is the only city I've been to where I've seen this! read more

Recently moved around this area and the cool thing about this location, is that they deliver to the residents at LC Riversouth! We've been here a few times now and each time we've tried something new. Their speciality coffees are delicious. If you love whipped cream, make sure you sit down and order it, it'll come with it. When they serve it in a to-go cup they do not put it! I'll leave that as a tip ;) Food wise: We've tried their buffalo chicken wrap which was good. Nothing out of the world. I have tried their Baja Chicken wrap and THAT is great. I like the latter wrap more than the buffalo chicken wrap. Their Nashville Hot Mac & cheese is so good!!! Not crazy spicy, a more comfortable spicy. It's a nice kick to a comfort dish. Their tater tots!!! So interesting!! They are little balls of potato and served with this cheese sauce....UH-MAZING. It was not busy inside and we were served quickly. The only negative was that they seemed to be missing a lot of menu items and it seemed a bit scattered.
