Decided to try this place today. We ordered an all meat burrito and an asada. The hubby said his was good but smaller than Chipotle's. The asada burrito was just ok. I really didn't like how tiny the meat was cut it looked like ground beef My kid got the tenders combo and the tenders were tough...she didn't eat them all and she loves tenders. The fries were decent. We ordered chips and salsa the chips didn't taste homemade and for salsa instead of giving a large order of the salsa they gave those tiny cups ‍ Like c'mon!! And they only gave us 4 little cups but we also got burritos ‍Cheap! Also, this is a pet peeve of mine...they don't line the styrofoam plates they just place hot food in it!! I stopped in for lunch and could not get any peace. Pros: Nice little lunch place with a large menu. Cons: No cell phone restrictions. The dinning area was plagued with customer eating a entire lunch while on the phone. One customer was even on speaker phone for about 10 minutes. They even had a employee on break sitting at the small table by the door and the trash receptacles who was watching videos on speaker for all to hear. This lasted almost 10 minutes as well. I was VERY surprised that there was no employee intervention of owner structure to keep a simple dinning area etiquette. I know I'm not in a library! Decided to try The Grill in Fullerton,they sponsored my son's baseball team. The food is all made in house from scratch daily. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The service was awesome and the food is delicious. We tried a variety of things like taco salad, fish sandwich, taquitos, patty melt, fries, onion rings, zucchini, and chicken strips not one complaint everything was amazing. Pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken Cobb salad. Everything was fresh. The ranch dressing was good which is hard to find. Fried zucchini was yummy, even though it was the frozen stuff. If you come here expecting diner food and already have a soft spot for diner food, then you will not be disappointed. The Grill gets the job done without any non-sense. Just straight up diner food that's greasy and to the point. I ordered The Grill burger which was essentially a double cheeseburger with bacon and avocado. Heads up to my fellow avocado haters if you order this same burger I did. Didn't really dig the surprise avocado hiding in my burger, but my girlfriend got the rest so it worked out for us. Anyway, the burger was MASSIVE. I mean I got a big mouth (plz don't hit up my yelp DMs) and I couldn't bite the entire thing without struggling. Next time I think I'll just do a cheeseburger and still be just as satisfied. The bacon and extra patty were great and all, but I think I'll be fine without it. My girlfriend ordered a fried chicken dinner plate. She always orders the weirdest things IMO, but it was actually pretty good. We also ordered onion rings and zucchini fries. Onion rings were battered just right, but the breading was a little on the abrasive side though. Came here because I was in the mood for some of their delicious Asada nachos. I've had them once before and they were great. So I ordered my nachos and I'm very upset because instead of giving me guacamole they gave me chopped up avocado. Being the chef that I am I don't know why you would cut up an avocado why didn't you just smash it squeeze some lemon juice add some salt and chop some cilantro and throw in a jalapeño. Just have to write this so that hopefully in the future the owner knows there are issues that should be addressed. I've driven past this location several times going to my daughter's place. Tonight I purchased 2 family deals (4 burgers, 4 fries and 4 drinks). Substituted 1 fry for fried zucchini. Purchased a Greek salad and paid for 4 sides of ranch for our fries. $74.95 total paid. My granddaughter who is 10 yrs old said that she thought that was a lot of money. I was tired and didn't notice but got out my receipt. Indeed, I was over charged. As I waited for my order I approached the counter and said that on the menu on line the price is different and I over paid. I showed her the online price $24 and change and I was charged $29.99. THATS a $12 difference. Finally they handed me $3 back . ???? How did they come to $3??? I was just too tired to fuss and took the food and drinks to my daughter's place which is like 4 minutes away. The fries were Luke warm, warm sodas, no zucchini and an extra burger that didn't belong to my order. My daughter called to talk to the mgr and asked to speak to the owner. The mgr said to come back and I will be refunded. 4 minutes later I'm back, the person that was behind me was still waiting for their order. PROBLEM: the cashier needs to know, even with a mask on, people see a dirty look!!! Then the acting mgr who was at the grill preparing when I ordered said here's your money back and I'll take care of it! I said, I don't need all the money back and he was aggressively handing it to me saying he will talk to the owner! He apologized but it was so uncomfortable! Here was a chance to KEEP a new customer and even with a refund, didn't just make it right! That was all I wanted. I didn't need "free". Fix the order and fix the price. This place is close to work, so it's convenient. And most of the folks that work there are very helpful. However, this is the 2nd time in the last few months I've had the same issue. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I always phone my order in and bring it back to the office. Today when I arrived I went to the counter and paid, as usual. She told me it wasn't quote ready. No problem I got there quicker than I thought. The problem is as I walked away from the counter one of the cooks brought a container of food to the counter and PLACED IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE LADY that just took my money, not 10 seconds earlier. She opened it and looked inside, then closed it and waked away. I thought maybe she was going to get the sauce for my meal. Nope. She just left to do other things. Meanwhile, 2 to 3 others stopped by, looked inside, and moved on. Finally someone walked over, looked at it, and said "he's right there". Finally. Nothing like your hot food sitting on the counter for an extra 5 minutes for no reason. Got it back my office (only 4 minutes away) and of course the fries are cold, and limp. Threw them all away.
