First time at this location. Got a turkey on rye with avocado. Phoned in the order. Service was great, ppl polite and efficient. The lot is medium sized and fairly full but still parking on a Thurs for lunch at about 12:30-1:00. The turkey sandwich is probably the only healthy/relatively healthy item here. Could have made the same or better at home for way cheaper, but was out running errands and needed to stop for lunch and wanted to try to get something relatively healthy. It was quiet to average nose level inside with many older customers. If in the same situation or wanting their comfort food, then I would stop by again. read more

I feel bad giving "The Hat" a bad rating but their food is terrible. I've been going here for 30 years and ever since 15 years ago they just suck. Every now and then I try them but this franchise changed something. Yesterday we went to this location and we ordered 2 pastrami sandwiches. To which the employee said they didn't have pastrami's. Then they told us they did have pastrami's and gave us roast beef instead. We didn't notice till we got home. Then we ate the roast beef sandwiches. And they were nasty. Next time I would skip out on the regular hamburgers and hot dogs. For the price point, these items are just not worth it. They are plain and small, nothing special. You can order online, over the phone, in the store, or at the drive thru. Service could be better. They usually seem emotionless or don't like it when I ask a question. I've been to 5 locations (out of 11) and they are all great! This location is great as it has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus lots of parking! Located on a busier street but very convenient! This casual spot is always clean and organized. They serve up American burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, hot dogs, sides and drinks. World Famous Pastrami Dip - with pickles and mustard on a French roll - DEFINITELY MUST GET!! This heaping sandwich is not as big as it used to be, about half the size compared to the olden days, but they kept the prices in check. Piled high with their tender pastrami. It's a good portion for one person. It used to be so big you would have to share! I usually get extra pickles to help tame the saltiness of the pastrami. Very delicious and flavors are definitely on point! Chili - we just got a small cup of this and it had the weirdest consistency, like goopy... The flavors were ok, but the consistency was weird Large Fries - large cut potatoes and definitely a pile of it! The brown paper bag holds it all in place! These come in a big portion. We always have to share! Orange Bang - it's not everywhere that has this as a drink option. I crave it with my Pastrami Dip! The other food options are good, but come for the Pastrami! COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All customers are expected to wear a mask too. The staff also wear gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs via walk in or drive through and has no outdoor seating available. They are not sanitizing in between customers. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment today, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: Pretty big parking lot. Parking is not an issue. It wasn't even an issue prepandemic even though this place is super popular. Food: Portion sizes are really massive, so I think the price is totally worth it. I don't come here often. This is for my experience at the drive thru. Hope to visit and sit down next time. So convenient off of Rosemea I am not even going to try finishing a whole pastrami sandwich. Are you kidding me? That thing is humongous. Although the meat to bread ratio is not as I remember, it is still pretty thick. The bigger half of the sandwich I shared with my son. I still had to stop and rest a few minutes before I could finish my sandwich. Those pickles really cut through the fat from the pastrami. So yummy. The guy at the drive-thru window was really nice. He gave me all the condiments I asked for: yellow chilis? Check. Ranch dressing? Check. Mustard? Check. Ketchup? Check. Was of napkins? Check. Pastrami is not Pastrami without the yellow chilis. I am pretty sure that drive-thru is super busy during rush hour. It's quite convenient too. The one in SG don't have a drive-thru. That's why I like this store better, only downside they close earlier. We also got their chili cheese fries. Definitely a cardiac diet. One that could get you into cardiac troubles.
