Pink Ivy now sits on the top of my Hopkins area restaurants list for a nicer dining experience…read more K'Kinaco is on top as well, more because of the "fun factor" the owners influence, and the unique food,, so check it out as well. Back to Pink Ivy. The service is quality. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived. The reservation policy may seem "strict", but if you can live with needing to provide a 24 cancel notice, I think you will find the service is good because the business doesn't get slammed by unexpected high demand. Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead. Reservations fill up days in advance. I think you'll find it worth the extra planning. PS my ratings are adjusted for the type of venue. These are not Michelin stars.

I live 2 blocks away and had never made the trip. At first glance it's a neighborhood Famous Daves…read moreand...that's pretty much right. The vibe is as generic "America! BBQ!" as you can get. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, though. It's counter service so you order, grab your drink, take a seat, and wait for your food. We got the "Chopped Chick'n" platter and a brisket platter. The chicken was extremely tender and well seasoned. By far the best thing on the table. The tangy slaw was really good, too. Not too saucy, good texture, and light. The cornbread was not my favorite. Very northern; overly sweet and pretty dry. The crispy edges were great. The brisket was really disappointing. It was over-rendered and really dry. If fell apart (good) because every bit of the intramuscular fat had cooked out (bad). I think they just don't get enough traffic to cook them fresh so the ones from the morning dry out in the warmer all day. I think this is a better option than Famous Daves for larger groups r corporate events but would probably just go somewhere else or smoke something at home instead.

The menu didn't really impress me, and my burger was fine, but nothing memorable. The fries were the same, perfectly fine. The decor is nice and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. I also let our server know that I was in a hurry because I needed to catch a flight. There were only two of us in the restaurant, and while the service was fine, it wasn't particularly attentive or quick. Overall, I'd describe my experience as mid. Based on how much I enjoy their other restaurants, I was expecting more from Dexter's.

I have NEVER been a fan of baloney, but something about the way he described it made me want to try it. To be safe, we also ordered a pulled pork sandwich to split both. One ordered fries and one a salad, again, to split. That TK Mortadella was sooo good! Amazing blend of flavors on delicious house-made focaccia. The pulled pork was also good, but when I go again, I'm getting the mortadella. Cute inside, very nice service. Per usual, I forgot to take pix when the food first came out, so don't judge them on presentation. :)

My preference is usually to go out for Asian food but heard so many good things about this place that I convinced my sis to try it with me and wow, left feeling impressed and very full. What we ordered: - Started w/ some non alcoholic drinks. I love horchata so had to get that & enjoyed it. - Corn bread w/ caviar - yum & great way to start - Seared scallops - so good - Charred eggplant tostada - loved this & a must-get - Shrimp tacos - I was worried that the tempura would just make it taste like fried but it didn't, it's really light. I liked these but could of used some saucy/ juicy component that feels more satisfying w/ tacos - Carne Asada - was not bad but just kind of tasted like meat I could get other places - Corn elote - it's what u expect but it was tasty & nice to have another veggie - Churro dessert - perfect way to end our meal. This is a must-get even if u are full! Overall the atmosphere is great. The server was very friendly and it never felt like we were waiting a long time for anything. The place feels but open & natural accents. It was def busy in here & it felet like we were close to some tables but it still felt comfortable to enjoy the meal while catching up w/ my sis. I will def be back to try other items!

Fantastic. We've made Minneapolis our second home and are now looking to compile a list of faves…read morefor when we are here. Martina is an ace with its bold flavored Argentinian cuisine and relaxing atmosphere. We dined on the patio, but whether you are seated inside or out, the ambiance is adorned with green plants, natural wood, and clean lines for a modern aesthetic that pleases today's diner. The food was a pleasure. The secret to the bold flavors is in the sauce. We started with an order of the grilled bread and a dozen oysters. I'll never say no to raw oysters (even on some occasions when I should have), but these were a great experience. The vinegar sauce served with these was a unique version that when paired with a dash of the shredded horseradish and a squeeze of lemon juice, the oysters were a punch of zingy perfection. The salted, vinegar infused butter that came with the bread elevated the dish. I chose the halibut for my entree and it was lovely (halibut is a win in any format). However, I would highly recommend the ribeye. My son got that and I sampled a piece with the accompanying chimichuri sauce and it was heavenly. The oils chosen to create that sauce were very well thought out so it made for not-your-typical ribeye and lent itself to something flavorfully unique. We want to return! Putting this on our list of faves when in Minneapolis/St Paul.

And thankfully that bookshelf was there because we were waiting for awhile. When we first arrived we waited about 10 minutes before anyone who worked there even made an appearance, which seemed odd for a Friday at 10 am. May have been understaffed because the same person was seemingly the only person serving the full restaurant, which is so difficult. We waited patiently, understanding that that happens. However, unfortunately the food was only okay too. I ordered a broccoli and cheddar omelet and it was sadly not really an omelet at all. Full florets of steamed broccoli with a flat egg blanket wrapped around them... see photos to understand, this was a bummer and just not an omelet! It seems like the quiche is the way to go here, I had a bite of quiche that someone else ordered and that was very tasty and they have a rotating quiche menu or quiche of the day! Would definitely recommend going with the quiche for breakfast.
