We were looking for somewhere to have a drink and a snack before heading to the airport for a departure flight. The Hub came up on Yelp so we thought we would stop in. Boy, are we glad we DID! They have a Happy Hour that is NOT restricted to weekdays!! There are multiple TVs that you can watch from any seat in the place. There is the bar with 4 main screens and a second bar behind the front bar. The prices are spectacular for the food which offers many choices from bar grub to pizzas, burgers, salads and beyond. I am giving 5 stars, however... that pertains to the service and bar ONLY ! I have been coming here for about 2 years and have noticed a huge change in the menu. Not only are there less options (which I am not thattttt mad at) but the portion sizes seem to be cut half with no change to the price. How are you going to charge me the same price but give me less product ? I am very disappointed with this change in the food menu. read more

Finally got a chance to check out this new spot in Natomas. We went about two weeks ago maybe a week after they opened. I'd been patiently waiting as I also go to the 9round gym nearby and their opening soon sign has been teasing me for about a year. This is the kind of place Natomas needs. More or less a gastropub type concept the hub has a decent selection of beer and liquor and the food is quite good from my brief experience. I'd really love to see more local craft beer influences on their tap list but they do cover knee deep, track7, device, among others so it's hard to complain especially when new. I did go with my 8 year old and a kids menu was noticeably absent. However the staff made him a quesadilla at his request and when that wasn't to his liking (corn vs flour tortillas) they made him a cheese pizza. I had the buffalo chicken tots which were more than enough for dinner for me. It was overflowing with chicken. I thought I'd order more but I was stuffed. Lastly I'll add the owner was super involved in the night we were there. Checking in on tables and discussing with the staff. So I am sure the service delays and kinks will be worked out with time. Looking forward to how this place improves with time but a solid start so far. Heading back tonight with the mrs for impromptu happy hour. Update: went for happy hr with the wife. Good food again. Had the burger which was excellent. Not super pumped about the carnitas tacos it was bland IMHO, but my wife enjoyed it so to each their own. If you order the tots off the bar bites menu I don't think you need to eat anything more. They are huge. I'm not sure what is going on with this place. On my first visit I had the Hub burger (their $14 specialty burger). It was exploding with flavor and beef texture was perfect. I went again 3 weeks ago and ordered the exact same burger and it seems they changed their burger. Now the burger texture seems overdone and the flavor is flat. Maybe they are still working out the kinks in their grand opening? For a high priced burger I expected a bit more consistency. Also their fries tasted very plain and boring. read more

Their lemonade drink was excellent. Ordered the Salmon Cake w/ Miso with a side of french fries - both are delish and must try. The setting here is really nice. Staff was very responsive and welcoming. They checked whether anything else was needed. I would definitely come back and recommend the great eats of this place. read more

Used to go to this place a lot when they opened sometimes once a week. We have not been in about 8 months and finally decided to come back. Place has gone down hill with the menu and we are so disappointed. Calamari was soggy and mushy, fried chicken was dry, pork sliders were dry and hardly any meat and no flavor. The best thing was the, pizza, tater tots and beer. Very disappointed and won't be returning... love the atmosphere and staff is very nice. Bring the old menu or chef back and I'll return. Good service, waitress was very nice and friendly. However food and drinks were subpar. Wings were mediocre, the carrots and celery that it came with were dry and shriveled. I love this place, its definitely a hidden gem. The food is delicious, drinks are yummy and the staff is friendly and provide excellent service. The place is clean and updated. A great place for a simple date night, watch the game or to grab a bite and drinks with friends. I recommend to give it a try if you haven't been there yet. Decided to come in on a whim during happy hour. It's a sports bar type of environment. Happy hour is from 3-6 and you get $2 off bar bites and drinks. We tried the buffalo tater tots, buffalo wings and the sliders. All of the entrees were good. The service was slow to start. It seemed like there was only one server for the place. She was very kind and did apologize for the delay. We did get our food within a reasonable time. I would come back to try their entrees. read more

Manny was the best server! Made recommendations and even happily made alterations to what I ordered to better compliment my dietary restrictions. I say "happily" because I get a lot of servers that tell me "no" to substitutions or are just plain rude. Not Manny - he treats you like a friend! Went in last night for the first time since the 'pandemic'. I sat at the wooden table right behind the bar. Bartender was an angry looking woman with quite the scowl. She took my drink order and said I had to come up to bar to get them.... ok. We drank those and waited for a while. When a tall beautiful waitress came by but wouldn't make eye contact, I was trying to figure out what was going on. I flagged her down and asked her if we could get another round, she said the bartender was our server but she'd do it anyways. We asked if she (the bartender) always looked that mean, and our temp waitress said 'yes'. We watched the bartender work for a while. She knocked something in the trash in front of the bar, went over, rummaged through the trash, and went right back to making drinks without washing her hands. That was pretty gross! We were there for 2 hours and that woman didn't smile once or ever acknowledge our existance. I gave our temp waitress the tip and we split. Gone are the super fun times we used to have at The Hub with Lee and the whole gang. What a shame. Oh, and the beer was flat and warm. We'll be going to Pete's Pizza down the street from now on. read more

After an initial hiccup, we had to ask our server to check with the chef that there were none of my allergens in my dinner, things mostly picked up. I have tried three times now. Food and drink are pretty pricey, service is slow. Not much in the way of appetizers (might even offer chips and salsa at the very least). The first night the bar tender was very abrupt... that was opening weekend, so I let it all slide because of that and gave it another try two weeks later. Second visit the server gal was a doll. It should have been a sign how down hill it has went when we walked in just after 6 pm on a Friday and it was dead. We ordered and got our food. our sodas sat empty for a significant portion of our meal while 3 employees including our waitress stood at the bar bullshitting. Our waitress literally had one other table and did not move from the bar for most of our meal. The food was fine but I missed where they started up charging for tots, and charging $1.00 for a side of ranch, also the cost of soda nearly $3.95? I'm used to $2.95. I get costs have gone up but considering how long our glasses sat empty, totally not worth it. Super disappointed. Oh well, time to explore other options. read more

This place is okay for variety and quality of mixed drinks thanks to a few of their best waitresses/also tending bar. However if you miss the few, it is just pure luck! The food is in my opinion a D-! Cannot believe the prices for quality! Simply the worst in Sacramento Is best description possible. The tacos do not even resemble a taco I have had EVER in my life. I could not eat. If you order a special 2 slider pulled pork it is priced at a fairly reasonable $10.00. Of course if you want fries or tater tots add another $3.00. This has been the only item on menu I actually liked. However I was very surprised the first time to find it served with mixed into the pork a chopped cabbage salad. Today I decided to order the "salad" on the side! This is what I expected from the writing on menu each time I had ordered. To my surprise yet not so much surprising was what I was served. The "salad" appeared to be white with Mayo or at least similar to normal. After tasting it was far from normal!! It had something added making it VERY HOT! Nothing at all as expected in this type salad. The buns had enough shredded pork to look decent but of course nothing like the bulging ones with the salad mixed into the meat. In addition the taste was totally bland. I opened the buns to find their described "homemade barbecue sauce" to be the size of a dime! I called the waitress and asked her to look at amount of sauce on the shredded pork. She left to return with a small plastic container of sauce, about two tablespoons would be my guess. I thanked her! The sauce was hardly better than adding ketchup!! I removed all the pork from buns and added to the side of "salad" along with the 2 tablespoons of "homemade barbecue sauce"! I requested a small container to take this home. She gracefully provided. She then asked if I were ready to check out. I said I was ready. She then holds the bill to point I cannot see asking me in large squares to choose a % tip and to sign! I choose the lowest being 18% and signed. After this she was kind enough to provide me a copy of my bill. I noticed the original charge for the 2 pork sliders was $10.50, NOT the $10.00 as listed on menu! Also even though she seemed to understand I had not received a normal amount of ANY BARBECUE SAUCE on my buns when she walked away and returned with the 2 tablespoons of sauce this was not the case!! She actually charged me an additional $1.50 for the "homemade barbecue sauce"!! When I requested to discuss with her the check she refused to discuss with me. I was quite upset when I told her the barbecue sauce she brought to me had little more flavor than the ketchup on table. She defended my words by saying this is because the SPICE IS IN THE "SALAD" that should have been mixed into the pork!! This was beyond words to begin to respond. There was no appearance of anything in salad that would indicate why it was so hot! There was nothing of flavor in the barbecue sauce! The entire serving was a horrible combination of Heaven only knows WHAT! But the bill was an added two dollars plus an additional 18% undeserved tip totaling far more expensive than deserved. In fact I feel safer eating at McDonalds than at the HUB. At least you know what you are given. Not here!! I will never again enter the doors of THE HUB! It is frightening to think about in my sincere opinion. read more
