Yummy! Sunday brunch with no decisions to be made, live music, and delicious drinks? Sign me up! Love that this is a flat fee dining experience and they just bring you food until you're full. Everything was so tasty and I absolutely will continue to dream about those soft boiled eggs. What a wonderful treat to have this Turkish style brunch offering in Reno!

We had seen a post about their Turkish brunch and decided we had to try it. It was a good think we had a reservation because it has been a hit since they started it. We were seated outside on their patio area which was quite lovely. The cold portion of the brunch was set up inside and our wonderful server brought us our drinks and our warm food items. It all was quite tasty and I see a return trip ahead. We looked at their evening menu to see what they have available for then too.

Friday night on 4th street and found this absolute gem! 3 of us stopped for a drink at this beautiful bar. Ended up outside for a Latin spinning DJ. So much fun dancing and watching all the great dancers enjoying the music and beautiful weather. Beautiful inside space. Great outside seating. Really interesting drink menu. So much fun! Top it off with Friday night fireworks from Aces Stadium around the corner. Go check them out for an intimate date or group outing.

Ordered the vino verde, Lady of Nyx cocktail and fries. The cocktail was perfect earthy beet flavor but not overpowering. Fries were thick and crispy. Need to come back and try other menu items. Server was attentive and friendly.

WOW. The Jesse has just given Reno a fabulous new way to Sunday brunch Turkish style. I managed to make the initial Sunday brunch with friends. The partly cloudy morning was perfect on the huge patio behind the Jesse. Partially covered by a trellis of flowering vines, some tables in the sun and others under large umbrellas. Some seat inside are also available. Enter through the parking lot and you'll be greeted at the patio entrance. I highly suggest a reservation, glad we had them because this gem won't stay a secret very long. Each table received a literal smorgasbord of Turkish breakfast delights. To start, at the bar there was a long table set up with various breads, dried and fresh fruit, nuts and sliced heirloom tomatoes. I recommend a plate from here to share with the table. At the table numerous dishes will begin to arrive. Let's begin- Cheese plate with cheese and walnuts Olives Cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in olive oil Preserves Honey and clotted cream ( the table was cleaning the bowl with the bread) Breakfast spread- so delicious Sucuk, Turkish sausage, perfect bite sizes Mihlama, cheese fondue that ever bite was made more delicious when dipped in Cilbir, eggs in garlic and yogurt. Mmmm Gozleme, a thin stuffed flatbread Borek, my favorite and next to impossible to find in this area, is a very flaky pastry with cheese Simit, sesame seed ring Bread slices Cay, Turkish tea, incredibly hot Tea Coffee Turkish Coffee, also incredibly hot and powerful Mimosa The service was beyond fabulous, we had various staff members checking on us throughout our leisure hour and a half brunch session. Simply a gorgeous spot for a devine meal with friends. Chef Araceli, of Flavor Studio helped create the menu. I wave my spoon to her, she has outdone herself once again. Say hello when you see me, because I am definitely returning. Limited parking in the private lot. I recommend street parking across the street on Evans.

The Jesse has new owners. They decided to do something different for us foodies in Reno and started serving a Turkish Buffet. I can honestly say I did not recognize some of the dishes and could not give you the names of any of them. However, everything I tasted was new to me and delicious! The poached eggs on seasoned yogurt was one of my favorites. There was sausage and fruit, a yummy "breakfast" tomato based sauce that went well on many items, along with Turkish coffee. And to top it off bottomless mimosas! We will be back!

Visiting family and they brought us here for Salsa Lessons. Absolutely fun. Great space in and out. Extremely clean. Awesome cocktails and staff. Excellent selection of spirits and creativity put in. A bit slow on the service but enjoyed the wait talking with everyone. Food was brought out temperature appropriate and was flavorful. Fries a guilty pleasure for me that I don't often indulge in was well with the order. Only comment during salsa lessons we were always changing partners. I get why for the social aspect but my party wanted to stay partnered up so we could Practice wirh each other. Suggestion is during the lesson have a section that are willing to switch partners in a section that want to remain with their partner. This place is a definite try and we will be back when visiting Reno in the future.

We came here for a fun girls happy hour and we even themed it up with a Mrs Roper night. Super fun place with hotel rooms upstairs. Great bar area and outdoor patio. Private parking lot with limited spaces, but convenient. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Britt was fantastic behind the bar and Brock was a fabulous server. He really was great with explaining food, taking our orders, and even getting us to-go containers. The food was delicious and lots of variety. We even met the owner John who came out to speak with us. Overall a great night filled with laughs, great food and drink, plus amazing memories. We will be back.

I love the Jesse, the patio is so spacious and is a great spot to soak up some sun with some friends. I also love coming to the Jesse for salsa nights and hope they continue to do those! I actually really like the updated menu to Mediterranean as I always found the tacos to be too expensive. The feta fries are a must really crispy and the zaatar seasoning is great. We got the beef kebab platter the pitas were yummy, tangy red onion, the beef was a little tough though too chewy but the veggies were amazing and everything looked great on the platter altogether. My passionfruit margarita was delicious and well balanced. The drinks still hit and I'm excited about the mediterranean/middle eastern flair. If only they had khachapuri on the menu then my day would really be made!

New owners is always a bittersweet time. But this one feels extra sweet because they are awesome. The coffee has been fantastic and I cannot wait to try the cocktails one of these nights soon. The interior is beautiful and a great spot to get some work done.

I was invited to a birthday party here they do catering. And set up a nice room we had hamburgers, chicken nuggets and really good french fries. it was very very well done the bar as well. Attended the people that work. There are very good and what they do. The patio is perfect for a nice non-windy day so I will go back there to try their breakfast menu and they have really good coffee.

I went to the launch of their new Turkish Sunday Brunch and was blown away. It's a price fixed menu for such a reasonable price point. You don't order off menu--they just start bringing stuff out. There was a cheese plate, tomato and cucumber salad, cheese fondue, sausages, a puff pastry with cheese, stuffed flat bread, and my personal favorite, soft boiled eggs with yogurt and a nice spicy garlic drizzle. They had some amazing dipping options like tahini, Nutella, cream with honey, and this magical Smokey tomato spread. Inside was a beautiful grazing table with even more breads and dried fruits. You can top the meal off with mimosas, Turkish coffee and Turkish tea. The staff was welcoming and friendly and we sat on the patio, which was a perfect setting. If you're looking for a unique Sunday brunch experience, there's nothing like it in Reno. Reservations are recommend, as they were sold out the day we went

The Jesse is a boutique hotel and bar (with Mediterranean bites), just three blocks off of the main drag (Virginia Street) in downtown Reno. I visited the bar and beautiful outdoor patio (not the hotel) in late August, with the one-and-only Michael T. I believe that the concept was previously Mexican (named Estella), and the rebrand to Mediterranean is new. We visited on a surprisingly quiet, spectacularly beautiful summer Tuesday night. We enjoyed cocktails and a sampling of their newer Mediterranean menu (hummus, falafel, salad, and more!). The drink menu was inspired and the cocktails cooled us down on a warm evening. The bites were made with fresh and flavorful ingredients. We lounged outside on the pretty, enclosed patio. We were shocked that it wasn't busier. If you live in Reno, you should check them out. I'll defintely be back the next time I'm in town. And, helpful to know: they have a private parking lot adjacent to their building, so no need to battle downtown parking. Cheers!

My family and I stayed at the GSR for 3 nights to attend a close family member's wedding -- the entire reason we made the trip to Reno. Here is what we encountered: The Room We arrived to a visibly dirty room that needed a thorough cleaning. There were stains on the furniture, walls, and bedding. No washcloths were available despite multiple requests to housekeeping -- they finally arrived on our last day, too late to be of any use. On our first night, a sticky substance on the bedding transferred to my clothing and permanently ruined both my pants and my belt. I have not been able to remove it despite multiple attempts. Pest & Safety Concerns We found a large unidentifiable bug in our room that we had to kill and dispose of ourselves. For the remaining nights of our stay we were uneasy and anxious about what else might be present while we slept. Marijuana Odors -- Every Single Day For all 3 days and nights, the hallways leading to our room reeked of strong marijuana. My 7-year-old son asked me about the smell every single time. No parent should have to have that conversation repeatedly because a hotel cannot enforce its own policies. Rude Guest Services When I called to request washcloths, instead of simply helping me, the agent chose to lecture me on the difference between a washcloth and a face cloth. It was condescending and completely unhelpful. The Pool -- And the Moment We Lost Forever At the pool, our server went on break and her replacement could not locate my payment card. The time we lost waiting caused us to leave late -- and we arrived at the wedding chapel just as guests were walking out. We missed our family member's wedding ceremony entirely. We had traveled to Reno for one reason, and because of this staff failure we did not get to witness it. That is something we will never be able to get back. Checkout & Aftermath When I raised all of these issues at the front desk before checking out, I was redirected, dismissed, and ultimately handed a business card with a vague promise that someone would follow up about my clothing. No apology. No acknowledgment of the bigger picture. No resolution. That was nearly 60 days ago. I have followed up in writing. I have heard nothing -- not a single word. I spent a significant amount of money at this property and was treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I would not recommend the GSR to anyone traveling with family, and especially not for any trip where something important is at stake. GSR -- my complaint is still open. You know how to reach me.

There are three attached hotels in a row, Circus Circus, Silver Legacy and El Dorado, and the restaurants serve all three hotel visitors. After lunch, we took a walk around downtown Reno - it's got a lot of attractions that I would not have otherwise seen (riverwalk, baseball stadium, the Reno Arch, etc. By then it was just after 1:00 p.m., and I stopped by the front desk to see if any rooms might be available. For a small up charge of $20, I was able to check into a room early. The room was in the Sky Tower, a building that was a little difficult to find, but ultimately we figured out how to get from the room to the casino without having to go outdoors. The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size, and the bathroom had all the amenities necessary. Overall, this is not one of the fanciest hotels I've ever visited, but it is a nice place to have access to the casino and the local Reno area, it was less than a 10 minute drive back to the airport, the room / bed / pillows for all comfortable, and the price for the room and parking was surely an amazing value.

Hotel-Lodging Review (mostly):…read more To hear some folks speak on Circus Circus (either here in Reno or the sister property in Vegas), you'd think someone were describing the conditions inside a POW camp or prison. Haven't stayed or patronized the property here in decades. And the primary aim with this stay was getting back into the Caesar's Rewards program as quickly and as economically as possible. Sure, it's an older property with it's proverbial warts, but the stay held appeal for me. And it didn't hurt that I upgraded to a Spa King Suite, located in the Casino Tower. Check-in supervisor Asialene was a sweetheart who set the tone for my 1 night stay. Spa Suites have either an oversized soaking tub or one with jet nozzles (basically a mini whirlpool-jacuzzi). Really relaxing and is always a highlight of any stay, no matter the property. These rooms are huge! Around 680 sq. ft. Like an apartment almost. Easily accommodates multiple adults or a family with the non-king, 2 bed set up. Wet bar, Keurig machine, mini fridge, 42" big screen, a 2nd smaller screen in the master room, two separate toilets in each suite. The climate A/C system works great; no nonsense old-school horsepower blowing from 2 separate units in the suite. Unlike at some of the fancier resorts around town that skimp on the room HVAC output. In short and overall, there's quite a bit of value for what you get here at Circus, comparatively speaking. It serves well a niche for folks not wishing to break the bank for a simple night's stay while in Reno. Sure, other resorts are fancier no doubt, but, you're also shelling out more cash to get that in most cases. My normal go-to resort in Reno is usually Peppermill for example. Stay there several times a year. Which defies comparison to Circus on many levels. But, one thing I actually appreciated about Circus was being about to get where I wanted with a lot fewer steps than at most other fancier resorts. For the same time + distance it takes you to weave from 1 side of Peppermill to the other towers and parking areas for example, you could cover about the same distance between all 3 resorts under The Row (Circus Circus, Silver Legacy & El Dorado) it seems. Setbacks here at Circus like hot & stuffy hallways and lobbies, slow & inoperable escalators & elevators, a dystopian parking garage, closed rewards center & cashier cage (only at Circus, not at Silver Legacy & El Dorado) turned out to be minor inconveniences that were fairly easily overlooked & remedied during the stay. I mean, who really judges a resort by the parking garage for example? Was here for Monday overnight, so most of the shops and some restaurants within the Circus side were closed, owing to the idea that Monday's are typically one of the slowest days of the week. They've also swung the axe on table games here at Circus, a bummer from the heyday where lively floor crowds were the norm. Bartender blamed this on Covid when I inquired. But again, a short walk to either Silver Legacy or El Dorado casinos via the indoor connected walkways solves that riddle. I wasn't on the property long enough to relive the still-active midway-arcade, free circus acts (if they even still have those?), restaurants, etc, so can't comment there. But, it would be a sad day if this property ever closes. And I definitely wouldn't hesitate lodging here again at any of the other properties at The Row.

All of the cars are so beautiful. I added a couple of photos in my post of my favorites this year. For over 20+ years Brian has been coming to the Atlantis car show with his Corn Dog Stand! It's is the very best corn dog I have ever had! He has a family secret recipe that makes his corn dogs so amazing! I usually have at least three during the week!!! If you're at the HAN Atlantis car show be sure to stop by and try one, believe me you will thank me later! This year the summit racing move their booth over to the Atlantis, if you're looking for it. The Atlantis has show & shines with great prizes money, cruising, bands and entertainment always great! Fun things for the kiddo's and craft booth's galore. If you're in the area the first week of August stop by and check it out!

Our room had 2-yippee. It makes sense 2 people in a room 2 sets of luggage!! The king bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows. The bathroom was nice, water pressure was good in the shower and so was the lighting. One interesting item was the use of comps at the restaurants. I was told we could only use them Sunday thru Thursday. Kind of peculiar that they are limited.

I don't think it's bad management....they know what they're doing. Meh

The nice lady who runs the joint was super friendly, super attentive and even brought my youngest a plate of fries just because he was craving them! And the fries are probably the best I've ever tasted hands down. I had the breakfast burrito and it was yuuuge and delicious.....the salsa was mild and didn't interfere. My other kiddo had a breakfast sammie with country potatoes, and it was spot on! The sausage patty was delish as well. I could sit in here all day, eat and people watch. One day I hope to get a room here during Street Vibrations or Hot August Nights and do just that. I plan on having lunch here el quicko so I can make it 5 stars (like I have any doubt).... BTW Door Dash and GrubHub were in and out of this place......non.fukin.stop.... FYI..... Cheers!!

But, I really dislike that they don't have room service and any food you order is done with Caesar Eats on your phone. You can't call and talk to anyone. There is no room service! it's really outlandish not to provide that anymore. It is part of a fancy hotel. So I am not and neither is my Mom and Father, especially, a fan of looking at a menu on a phone, and not speaking to a real person. Some people absolutely cannot do that. Do they want to exclude elderly people from ordering food? So I went to the Steakhouse:Ruth Christies, paid $210.00 and had to use plastic utensils and eat out of plastic containers. I asked if I could have real utensils and plates because I was staying there and the answer was no. It was quite disappointing. I think they should not do food to go because it really feels like a rip off and it was not a great way to eat a steak. Try cutting a steak with a plastic knife. Very poor service and presentation. That really needs to be fixed. Very classless.
