Steak and eggs and potatoes
Jen A.

Was here for brunch over the weekend and I met say I did not enjoy my meal. At least not the steak. I asked for it medium and it was medium well. The steak was dry and pretty tough to chew. The potatoes could've been a bit more flavorful, the garlic overpowered them. I must say our waiter though was very attentive at all times

Stopped in for happy hour this week. They have a really great happy hour! The tuna nachos & zucchini fries were both really tasty (zucchini needed a bit of salt). Interesting cocktail selection. Friendly, attentive service. Easy parking. Will be returning!

We came here for a lunch lunch and was not disappointed. I ordered a steak because why not. It was good. My husband got the burger and he liked it. The espressotini was good but very creamy. The inside decor and vibe is cute. Bartender was super friendly.

Linguine with chicken

What a fabulous place from the staff to the ambience to the food! We made a reservation for a Thursday at 6 pm. Seated immediately upon arrival and waters brought to the table. My husband ordered Mango Heat which was very tasty. Not too sweet not too spicy. For an appetizer we had the Burrata. Nice sized with pesto and bread. We arrived before 6 pm so our server made sure to tell us that happy hour prices were still in effect. App and drink were half price! For dinner my husband ordered the Short Rib Rigatoni. He raved about it. I had creamy lemon linguine with chicken. So creamy! So flavorful! We both brought home leftovers. Great meal and under $100 including tip.

Kiera (hope I got her name right) was excellent at her job! Based upon her actions, you can tell that she truly loves her work and that is working with people. Came here for breakfast on Sunday, and the food was outstanding. Flavorful and fresh everything was made to order perfectly. Love this homestyle restaurant it really makes you feel that you're important based upon the customer service we received

Deluxe Toast :)

It was great. But the eggs were cold. Like really cold. Service was decent. Ambiance is a nice casual. You can sit inside or out. Why were the eggs cold on my Mom's egg Benedict and the deluxe toast? That was weird. Overall ok.

Really loved our recent brunch here with the family! The food is delicious and not overly pricey - so many options for everyone. I loved the gumby's bowl, and my group also ordered the hurricane plate and side Caesar, with fries. Everything was plentiful and great! My cappuccino was perfect and even came with pumpkin art in microfoam, a fun seasonal surprise. The ambience is closer to something you might find in Boston- a little dark but brick walls and cozy atmosphere. We had reservations but were able to seat ourselves. It was very casual and easy - just good food in a comfortable setting. There is a parking lot out front too which was helpful. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. Would definitely go back!

Food was fantastic as always! Atmosphere is great. Really enjoy the salads. Every sandwich and brunch item top tier!

I'm a sucker for breakfast, it truly is the most important meal of the day. This cozy spot not far from downtown Jax was perfect for a pre-game breakfast stop! I had the Belgian waffle with a side of bacon, my breakfast pals both had the chicken and waffles. I'm not a coffee drinker, literally ever, but one got a latte and the other just drip coffee and both had good reviews upon tasting. Great spot!

Omg for my first experience definitely will be back. Went for a quick girls lunch. The food was delicious I had the shrimp n grits with veggies it was seasoned and shrimp are cooked perfectly. The gravy was demand should be available on other items. My friend got the waffle and home fries the smells of cinnamon are indescribable. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items like the veggie melt and all the sandwiches I saw. The environment was warm and clean. They even had artwork of artist for sale.

CHICKEN CLUB SANDWICH with grilled chicken. Delicious!

This place is so great! I loved the ambiance and the food was delicious! The waitress was super sweet and kind which made the experience that much better! I'm glad I took my friend's advice to try this place out.

Great service but food was only ok. Good concept but execution was lacking. Chicken was fry and bread charred vs toasted.

Over priced for what you get, and inconsistent in the quantity served. At $12 per person, no one should leave hungry.

When we walked in, we saw a huge table of senior citizens, maybe about 20-30! We decided to stay. There was only one Bartender and one Waitress. The place was packed. We sat by the window seats-that was all that was left to sit at. The Waitress was very attentive(even though she was slammed). Today's special was shrimp baskets. Shrimp could be cooked three ways. I chose fried w/onion rings(fresh-not frozen rings) & and a 50/50 tea. My meal was delicious. Laura had blackened shrimp w/broccoli. We both enjoyed our meals and had a great conversation. I had $40.00 cash on me and Laura had a card to treat me, but the internet and card machine had just gone down. So I paid for the meal and tip. Laura Cash App'd me $40.00. Pros:big place with a very friendly atmosphere. Great service and food. Cons:it was out of their control that the machine went down. Recommend:Yes

The last time, and final time I gave them a shot, the server we had seemed to be in an awful mood and was extremely short with everyone when ordering. She didn't know what beers they had so my friend had to get up and go to the bar to see. It just seems like she was having a bad day and possibly weeded but her attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and she said she had worked there from when it was still dicks wings. It gave the vibe of "I'm tired and I want to go home so hurry up and order". Not very welcoming.

We sat at the bar, where Patrick took great care of us. Every recommendation he made was spot-on, and the drinks he crafted were outstanding. The Cuban sandwich was one of the best I've ever had, and the bananas foster bread pudding was absolutely incredible. Needless to say, we'll be back this Sunday! The overall restaurant looked clean and great for a date night. We weren't feeling too hungry so we ordered the following based on the waitress and our friend's recommendations: 1) Crispy Brussels sprouts 2) Duck Fat Corn Bread 3) House made pasta + sugo The crispy brussels sprouts were a bit undercooked and lacked flavor but if you prefer a less crispy Brussel sprout dish I would recommend it over the duck fat corn bread. The duck fat corn bread was disappointing. It was an odd combination of flavors that did not mix very well. The corn bread was mushy and the crisp Napa cabbage with the random ranch/spicy sauce combo did not pair well and left my mouth feeling confused. I had high expectations for their house made pasta as they had a pasta maker out for viewing. The pasta was overcooked and every bite was an interesting mix of flavors...some bites salty...some bites unseasoned. There was barely any meat present and overall we ended up not finishing our meal and wrapping up the night. The only good thing we had was the homemade soda that I did not get a picture of but I believe was the hibiscus one. Overall I would recommend this place for drinks but not dinner.

We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer, they were phenomenal! Then we both decided on steak for dinner. I got the filet, and ordered it medium rare and it was perfect. My husband ordered the ribeye and his was medium, his was also spot on. Then of course, we had to get dessert. I got the German chocolate cake (this apparently isn't their normal one) and my husband got the dulce cheesecake. The waitress we had was great, and she recommended lots of tips and favorites to try. The only negative thing that I would say is that it's a bit cramped, so it was very loud and hard to hear each other at points. This was an amazing dinner. We will be back

Our waiter, Evan, was very proactive & offered suggestions with menu items. We started with some cocktails, the gentlemen with the cider beer & an old fashioned. I chose a glass of bubbly & the birthday girl had the fizz cocktail. It was incredible with a fresh blackberry puree. We started with the fried green tomatoes & the calamari, both were delicious! Calamari was prepared well and not too chewy. We shockingly each chose a salad: the bistro steak, the chop chop Asian, the goat cheese, and the salmon. Each one was incredible. Mine was the chop chop and I absolutely loved it! It was HUGE and you can bet I ate every single bite. Loved it!' We finished with the brownie topped with ice cream for the birthday girl, it was extremely tasty! Thanks again to Evan for making our night! He was a fantastic waiter! Would absolutely request him in the future.

I ordered the brisket with mac and cheese, baked beans, and toast. My mom had the same, and my dad got the turkey with fries and collard greens. We also shared an order of fried pickles. The fried pickles were actually really good and probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't meet expectations. The brisket was quite dry, and the mac and cheese seemed like it had been sitting for a while and had hardened. The baked beans had a very strong onion flavor that made them difficult to eat, and the toast just tasted like plain bread without any garlic or seasoning. Overall, it was disappointing considering the price of the meal. I only managed a few bites of the sides and one slice of brisket. My parents ended up taking most of it home for their dog since we couldn't finish it. It was especially disappointing because we've used Mojo's for catering before and had a great experience, so eating in felt like a completely different quality level.

The sandwich was super juicy and packed with flavor -- the sauce and that tangy pickle taste really made it stand out. The mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying, and while the side portions are on the smaller side, it actually ended up being the perfect amount for me. Service was a highlight. The staff stayed attentive the whole time and kept checking in. Our food did take a little while to come out -- about 45 minutes -- but they were communicative and made sure we were taken care of while we waited, which made a big difference. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming with a cool blues-themed décor and light music in the background. It was dinnertime but surprisingly not busy, which made for an easy, laid-back experience. Parking was simple and convenient. One small suggestion: cushions on the wooden benches would make a big difference. With the wait and the amount of time seated, they became a bit uncomfortable. Overall, great food, great vibe, and solid service. Definitely worth a visit.

I enjoyed the food; however, I think some details were missing or off for the price point. For example, the rib eye was requested for medium temp; however, it was medium rare and very chewy. The broiled ocean platter was kind of skimpy for the price point, and the shrimp & lobster diavolo were pretty good (though lobster wasn't very tender and slightly rubbery). I also wasn't given a pasta spoon- so had slight difficulty eating it. It took quite a while for us to get our food, approx 45 minutes? Our waitress was very kind and checked in- but forgot the lemons I had asked for- for the waters. We had inputted in our reservation request to not be in the center- and we were sat in the middle; though, 80% of the tables were empty. So, all in all, it was good but for the price point, I had higher expectations.
