(Or even just the biggest chain of all: Starbucks) Located in an office building off of Dyer and right next to the 55 freeway, this place services the surrounding area's office workers mostly. Coffee is delicious, they have a nice selection of pastries and other food items, and the service has been excellent every time I've dropped by. A little coffee shop with lots of natural lighting and an open parking lot. When first entering the plaza, it's a little confusing because all of the buildings look the same. But it's hidden in the corner with open windows and an outside patio with seating. I ordered both the iced americano and an iced vanilla latte, both were tasty and averagely priced. There were small booths (fit 4 comfortable) that had outlets on the walls, which were conveniently placed. I visited a few times to study before quarantine and it was a nice cafe, would definitely go again after restrictions lift! read more

Was extremely curious about this location as it was being built out. Walked in today for the first time, initial impression was that the place looks very nice on the inside. There was 3 people behind the counter and 2 other customers in the store. I sort of looked at their grab and go, the pastries & the menu. Not once did anyone greet me, say hello, offer any recommendations or suggestions on the menu or pastries or even as I stood in front of the register, was not offered to take my order. The service is terrible and after about 5 mins of standing there without one employee acknowledging me I walked out and for sure will not be back =(. Forever and ever I've been a fan of Starbucks. Ride or die, rewards card and all. Then one bright and sunny day The Lost Bean opened up near my job. I was super hesitant at first since I'm what the cool kids call a "coffee snob". However the minute I walked in I was greeted by an amazing staff! I've had nothing but warm and kind conversations with everyone that works there. And not to mention the coffee is amazing! Black, iced, americano, London fog are my go to's. It's also super helpful that the staff knows there stuff and can give great recommendations! They've branched out with even more unique and perfect lunch options which is great when I'm working a hectic day. This is a great coffee shop that mostly serves the surrounding offices during the work week. It's rarely busy and offers a chill, relaxed environment with both indoor and outdoor seating and free wifi. There is a cozy, quieter work space in the back if you are looking for something more private. The staff are friendly and personable and will quickly get to know you if you're a regular. Karina and Shaun in particular are individuals that you look forward to seeing behind the counter and are excellent barristas to boot. There are a few interesting specialty drinks that are worth trying but I'm a pretty boring guy and usually stick with a basic coffee or tea. The Black Hawaiian tea is a personal favorite. One of my coworkers is in love with the Better than Bulletproof. Without a doubt, the coffee here soundly beats what the office gives for free, to the point where the office coffee is now intolerable (and we're brewing SB, Peets or other similar quality products). They have all the fancy milk substitutions if you're into that and will happily customize your drink if you ask. They do serve a few obligatory assorted pastries and such, quiche, and some small lunch items. Anything I've tried was good, if not a bit overpriced which is fairly standard for coffee shops. I wouldn't eat here on the regular, but they are a good option when you're rushed and need a light snack or lunch to hold you over until later. Bottom line, come give this place a try and chill out for a few minutes. At my office, we're here multiple times a day, if not for coffee, just for the short walk. read more
