Place was busy as heck but the customer service was stellar, so we just did take out instead. I ordered the Seafood Pot Pie which is one of their more popular dishes. However, be warned that it does not come in your standard pot pie form, it is more of a seafood soup with a flaky little pastry on top. It was delicious, but I would've liked some more bread / pastry myself! My sister got the Shrimp Scampi which was delicious! It was a super light pasta but bursting with flavor! I would definitely recommend this. This place has more of an "old Main Street bar" kind of feel. It's dark inside and a bit noisy in the bar area, so it's probably not the best for kids, but it's a nice place to grab a drink or meal when you're around town. If you're looking for more of a breezy, seaside restaurant, though, I'd look elsewhere as this is more of a "fisherman's bar" read more

One of the best lobster rolls on the cape, the tuna salad sandwich is also amazing but not on the menu, it's now a special. The outside tables aren't great as they are in the parking lot. They do all they can to make it look nice though. The service is always great. The chowder is too vinegary for my taste. Still a 5 star experience! read more

This place is a classic, and the food is still very good. Just don't go for lobster. Last weekend, a 1.25 lb lobster was $45 boiled, and (get this) $75 baked stuffed. Do they put cocaine in the stuffing? What else could make it worth $30? In any event, we had oysters, chowder, and seafood pot pie...all were very good, as was the service. read more

Fried calamari and clam chowder are excellent. Nice little restaurant but some more light would be better for older folks.

We came into the restaurant on a busy evening, no worries - that's usually a good sign. After only waiting about 10 minutes, we were seated. After a few passes, our server came and we ordered waters while we got oriented with the drink menu. That's where the long wait set in. It wasn't until well after the drinks (over 20 minutes) that the server came back. By that point we were pretty tired and didn't want to wait and see how long it would take to get appetizers and main courses. It was pretty frustrating while we saw our server taking care of other tables and not getting any attention ourselves. We definitely would not recommend. read more

Absolutely enjoyed this place. Service was outstanding. Mary treated us great and was very responsive and nice. We had the blackened scallops for an app. Spice was just right and not overpowering. My wife had the seafood "pot pie" with sherry sauce. I had the boiled lobster. Everything came out wonderful. Would definitely recommend and would go back again. read more

The 2 stars are for the decent service we received, but the food was definitely not up to par. For $32, I'd expect good quality seafood. Sadly, that was not the case. The puff pastry on the side was rock hard, the liquid was soupy and not at all the thick, rich consistency you'd get in your traditional pot pie. The seafood had a bad fishy taste and didn't feel fresh. Overall there just wasn't much flavor unfortunately. read more

Fabulous food, service,& drinks. Every dish on every table looked great. Place is kept clean.Restaurant is packed and seating is very tight and uncomfortable. We had to wait for a table, which we rarely do. If they don't take reservations, we don't go. The food and drinks were worth waiting for, and we will go back midweek at lunch. read more

Cute outdoor setting for eating during the covid times. Friendly staff and clean menus. I ordered a strawberry basil mojito. Fresh made cocktail. And I had prime rib and a cup of their house made clam chowder. Everything was hot and tasty.. Came out in a reasonable time as well. Would definitely go back there is so many choices and Falmouth Center is that so that I would most likely go try some other restaurants the area has to offer but definitely check out this place. read more

3.5 stars .... Dd loved her lobster and husband enjoyed oysters & clam chowder. My chicken shrimp special was ok. Pricing seems inconsistent... some things more expensive than think should be while others are less expensive comparably.... eg, $11 for a huge ceasar salad, but a chicken pasta w 3 shrimp special cost $28. Quaint interior, especially the open wood beams and stained glass. Food was on the upper end of good. I would try other area restaurants first, before I went here again, but if I had to go here, it would be ok, just not my first choice. read more

This is a holiday weekend, and my family had a situation... we needed a glass of milk. We had plan (8 of us) to come to Quarterdeck later that night for a lobster feast, so it made sense to stop in early and buy a glass of milk to address the need of the moment. We were charged $16 dollars cash for a glass of milk. You read that right, 16 dollars for a glass of milk. Perhaps it was an honest mistake but really? If the owners are reading this, this experience has 8 adults taking our food and drink business elsewhere. And word to anyone else to watch watch you're charged very carefully there read more

This past weekend my parents and I ate at the Quarterdeck - not once, but twice! Years ago vacationing on the Cape each summer, we would visit Falmouth and the Quarterdeck was one of our go-to restaurants. Now, visiting Falmouth again many years later, the Quarterdeck is solidified as our go-to! The seafood platter is our favorite, and out of this world - fresh, and full of scallops, shrimp, and more! Service was excellent all-around, and we want to give a shout-out to Taryn who was our waitress Friday night. She provided the perfect level of attention to our table and was awesome! read more

I absolutely love this place!! First of all, amazing service. Very nice, caring people who are easy to talk to and are very patient. I always have so many questions about the food when I first try a place, and everyone was very nice. I didn't even dine in, and only ordered take out at the restaurant. Second of all, the food is TO DIE FOR!! It is phenomenal, even though the fries and calamari were cold when I got home. The fact that they were that good, probably means they're even better dining in! Definitely coming back and probably want to dine in next time. Apparently they're supposed to have outdoor seating in the back. Great location and right in the middle of town. The only thing is when you walk in, the smell is a little musty, but that's probably because it's an older place. Don't let that change your mind. read more

We live on the Cape year-round and this was always one of our favorites. Outstanding food, pleasant wait staff, great pub atmosphere. Unfortunately, last April, the Quarterdeck decided to merge its lunch and dinner menus, so now it's a lot more expensive. For example: The dayboat scallops we used to order for lunch for $24 are now cost $38. The seafood pot pie that was once $24 for lunch is now $36. The native swordfish that was $23 for lunch now costs $35 The Chatham schrod for lunch used to cost $20. Now it's $31. The crispy cod sandwich is up from $14 to $18 -- more than a 28 percent increase. I know the inflation rate is currently 3 percent and that food prices are a fraction higher, so we understand the need to raise prices. We also understand that, in some cases, dinner portions might be slightly bigger than lunch portions, but that doesn't mean everyone wants to have a dinner-sized portion at lunchtime -- especially if they're watching their waistline. Maybe tourists in July and August won't mind spending that much for lunch, but the Quarterdeck's new pricing seems insensitive and shortsighted -- especially with the restaurant next door closed for several months following a December fire. Because I truly care, I wrote to them about it earlier this spring to express my concerns, but I pretty much got a take-it-or-leave-it reply, which was also disappointing. I hope they rethink their pricing and start showing more respect and appreciation for the customers who support them year-round. I'll be dining elsewhere in the meantime. read more

We have had mixed experiences. Food is good. The first time we swore off the place due to the server. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but it turned us off. Then someone recommended it and we gave it a second try which was truly great. This year we went two days in a row. First was a kind attentive server and good food too. Service was great, food was fast. The calamari was one of the best I've had. Cooked perfectly. I had the seafood pot pie and it had very good flavor. The puffed pastry was really nice as well. My only complaint is that the lobster tasted previously frozen but the scallops and shrimp were perfect. My husband had the baked stuffed shrimp which he is a connoisseur of and he gave it a 3.5. Not the best but pretty good. All in all I think this is a good restaurant to try. Ps the wood in the interior is from a shipyard and dates back to the 1600s. An interesting place read more

Very good, high end restaurant in Falmouth. The baked Atlantic Swordfish is incredible!! It was on the special menu but I believe they should put it on their menu every day!! Perfectly blackened, very tender, and topped with a melon salad. The melon on top of the fish was a combo I never would have thought of, but it was to die for!! The other favorite food was the blackened scallops. Amazing, a must get! The rest of the food was pretty good. The broiled lobster was great, they also had a baked stuff lobster that we heard was amazing. The wings were a good way to start off. The steak honestly wasn't the best, topped with a sweeter sauce. It is a great place to dine if you are looking for higher end food, but a little bit expensive for a typical night out. read more

A true Cape classic. French onion soup is a must. Nice to know some things don't change -- and I mean that in the best possible sense.

The food was amazing, we ordered the swordfish, lobster, miso salmon, and more! Everything was delightful and to our liking. The service was great, our server was very friendly and nice and we felt very accommodated during our stay at the Quarterdeck. The restaurant's ambiance was also most welcoming, with dim lighting and a strong fisherman's like feel, it felt very nice. Not to mention the restaurant also has many pieces of memorabilia which make it feel very homey. Wonderful place to eat. read more

Our old fashioned drink and blackberry manhattan were sub par at best. Sweet, watery and very light on the alcohol. Seafood pot pie was hot and delicious. Salads were fresh. Unfortunately our server was from their sister restaurant and didn't have much knowledge of the menu. Restaurant does have great ambiance however. read more

We had a great meal as usual. We walked in and waited only about 10 minutes even though they were busy. I love the rustic atmosphere and prices are reasonable. I was super disappointed with the server for the first time. I wish I had grabbed her name. It makes the experience so much better with a friendly and efficient server. The hooded sweatshirt half zipped and hanging off of a shoulder and the zero smiles or really any desire to care was disturbing. Either way, we will go back for the food and atmosphere. read more

Just ... Wow! Followed a review and stopped for dinner. Looked a bit "divey" then there were musicians in the lounge (I hate loud music), but we were led through to a warm, comfortable (and quiet) dinning room. The staff were friendly and helpful as well The meals, oh! So good! I had the lamb which was done perfectly to order with a fabulous sauce, just enough to compliment the flavour without masking or hiding anything. The portions were huge and the veg were fresh. My fish chowder was a bit thinner than I like my chowder, but tasted wonderful. My wife's clam chowder was nice and thick, and tasted terrific. Definitely worth a return trip. read more

I used to live on the cape and came here a handful of times. Honestly the food was just average. The first time I visited I had some kind of a mussel dish that was really tasty, and when I went back later to get it again, the mussels were undercooked and not fresh at all. Other meals I had there were soggy salads and the like. The interior was pretty cool, especially downstairs being all ship themed and what not. But beyond that, nothing to brag about. read more

This was a great spot to end our family vacation. The food was great and the serving sizes were more than generous. The waiter hooked me up with lots of cokes and was a 100% slatt. They gladly gave me extra lemons and the atmosphere of the place was great and vibey. Generally pretty good. Server was very nice. I liked the taste of most dishes but was surprised that portion was a bit small? One of the scallop dish was a bit too raw. Also the restaurant had an unpleasant smell the day we went but I'm not sure what it was. read more
