HAD AN AMAZING TIME , at this beautiful place. Came for the views and aesthetics but left knowing I'm also coming back for the good service and delicious food. The view did not disappoint, but the food and service sure did. I organized a group (6) dinner on a Saturday night based on a decent lunch experience a few years ago. My guests were disappointed and I felt embarrassed. We were seated shortly after our reservation time. But once seated, no one came to greet us or asked if we needed anything ! We waited a long time (20 minutes at least) before a waitress showed up. She looked very stressed (I saw her rushing back and forth all night so I don't blame her at all) ; she quickly answered our questions and took our order. We first ordered a few cocktails, plus the bread and a guacamole for appetizers. Only four half pieces came with the bread and there were six of us - if I were the waiter I would have asked... or just add a couple more pieces. But the disappointment wasn't just the quantity- the bread was dry and hard! And the fact that it took so long - like 20 minute, to arrive. The guacamole was great - I'd recommend it for a large group. I recommended their lobster burger to my friends and two of them ordered it. Another two got the salmon. It was another 30 minutes before the food came. But both those two dishes seemed good - my guests confirmed. A vegan friend had a hard time finding something she could eat - there was the Greek salad (which was just okay) and the steak salad with tofu instead of beef. She did not eat much. My Double Burger was a disaster - the buns were so soggy that they fell apart on me. I had to drop the burger on the plate and eat it with fork. I have not been to a high end (about $100 per person here) restaurant with such poor service! Out of curiosity I looked around and no workers were smiling... the two assistants who poured water and collected dishes didn't seem happy; our waitress seemed stressed; and when we asked for a box, they didn't offer to box the food for us - they just handed us a box and left. Based on our experience this time, I think perhaps this restaurant should be in Restaurant : Impossible, or some other restaurant rescue show. All that said, this is, after all, the Waldorf. The passage from the entrance to the restaurant is beautiful! Just make sure you find the right elevator, which is to the right of the entrance. And the walkway leading to the restaurant has spectacular reviews of Beverly Hills, hence a great photo spot. Parking is valet only and at this writing is $22 if you tell them you went to the restaurant. Overall, a mixed experience with some pleasant views that disappointing service and food quality.
I've been twice, once with work and once for a birthday. Neither times was I impressed with the food. The view is really nice though, which I think is the main selling point of the restaurant. Some of the dishes I've tried: Shrimp pad Thai: do not get. It is basically a pasta (not your typical rice noodles) served with a "pad Thai" sauce, which also was a miss. Grilled octopus: get. One of the few dishes that I made sure to order on both my visits. Octopus is hard to cook right. They did an OK job, and im a big fan of octopus. Beef burger: not bad. Only get it if you are craving a burger. Lobster burger: it's just okay.. too pricey for what it actually tastes like. Hamachi: hard to miss Sashimi: hard to miss. Fish was fresh Tuna poke bowl: not much flavor. Too much rice. Shrimp lettuce wrap: I wish it wasn't breaded shrimp and just cooked instead. Dessert: maybe the best part of the menu. Get the Dubai chocolate and key lime pie. Valet parking available and they validate (not fully, you'll pay $15-$20). They are really strict about their time limit. The same man came to tell us our time was up on both my visits. I would have understood if I saw a line of people waiting but the place wasn't even completely full.
Incredible experience all around. I had the lobster burger--no filler, all flavor, thick and juicy on a perfect brioche bun. The truffle fries were a dream. My daughter and mom loved their chicken shawarma in pita pockets, stuffed to the brim and shared happily. Service was warm and attentive. The view was stunning and definitely a great photo op--grab a spot by the edge for the best skyline vibes. 9/10 recommend.
Located on top of the Waldorf Astoria, the views are absolutely beautiful and it's must go to location even for locals. The food on the other hand was a major disappointment for me and my guests. Everything seemed to lack flavor and just didn't taste good to us. Here's what we ordered... Kumamoto oysters: This was the best thing I ate Guacamole: Came with a few taro chips and vegetables (Guac was okay, but it just didn't go well with taro chips and veggies) Grilled Octopus: rubbery, not fresh Chicken schnitzel: No flavor whatsoever Lobster burger: Bland Red Thai Coconut curry: my guest said it was fine Service was great. Our waiter was attentive. I would come here again with overseas guests because the views are stunning. I will just order drinks and go somewhere else for dinner.
We came here for a birthday dinner for our friend. The view was breathtaking, ambience was cozy and elevated. Staff was warm and caring, however we didn't get a birthday candle with our dessert (to be fair we didn't ask for it but most places offer it when they know there's a birthday, a little entitled of us but still heartbreaking). Overall great experience would come back here for a date night to get the black pepper beef stir fry or to have a dessert with tea. Either way I would dress up for nice pictures and bring a jacket (the staff provides a blanket if you don't have a jacket, but can be windy). So refreshing to go to a restaurant in LA that is not just views but also quality! This place is now a classic to me!
Came here yesterday to celebrate my birthday. It was very busy for a Thursday. We arrived early to our reservation but were told they were backed up and we'd have to wait. Understandable but disappointing they couldn't accommodate. My boyfriend and I both ordered smash burgers. Our waiter told us it included lettuce and tomato, and when the burgers came, they were nowhere to be found. When we brought up the issue, the waiter was VERY defensive and denied ever saying it. Very weird considering lettuce and tomato are very low on the list of things that would make anyone upset. Anyway, we had some back and forth - which isn't what I expect at this kind of restaurant. I've been here dozens of times and the service is hit or miss but this interaction was very, very strange. Great views, good food, but service was just ok.
Boujee rooftop bar with a beautiful view of LA! I visited this bar on a Saturday night, so it was nice seeing all of LA's lights from the top floor. The rooftop bar was spacious with bar and table seating. It was clean and there were heaters which provided great warmth since the bar area was located outdoors. The bathrooms were also nice. I ordered the lychee raspberry cocktail and it was pretty good! It was fruity and not too strong or weak with alcohol. I wish the fruit skewer on top was fresher though. Our server was pretty friendly, but it did feel rushed since they were trying to close the bar soon when we arrived. Overall, a good experience here and I would like to come back during the day and to try their foods.
There's no way the Rooftop would be less than five stars and five star service! My boyfriend and I went twice in 2024 and both experiences were like night and day because, we went once during a summer's day and once during a winter's night. Reservations are easily available through Opentable and parking is exclusively valet. Take the elevator to the top and go nuts looking at that view! Walk by that pool and Cabana...and get seated with a lovely view. For our daytime meal, he got a keto style salmon salad and I enjoyed my exquisite Benedict. Coffee and drinks were amazing, as was the service. For our nighttime double date, we noshed on some Guacamole with plantains before our meals. He had the Chicken Katsu as I got the Chicken Shwarma - served in pita breads presented like tacos! They were a bit dry, but I still enjoyed them. Last were sorbets which are amazing and don't disappoint! Try to make room for these before you go. And I know, I'll be back again!
This is actually my favorite place in Los Angeles as being somewhat of a native and being a sucker for a view and good food the two don't generally go together. It is the place that I can't wait to take out of town or family and friends. I do admire its view and the way that you can see so many different sides of Los Angeles. It makes me feel like I'm in heaven in heaven with the view and the food. I generally get the lobster burger, which is so juicy and flavorful and something different than I've ever had as I am a big fan of seafood my daughter elected for the mini burgers, which were so cute they were on this kids plate. LA is known for its weather and it's nice to be able to take in the ambience with excellent weather. There is a feeling that I felt back in the paparazzi days of Los Angeles and I get that feeling on that rooftop. Their hotel itself a huge masterpiece. I'm so happy to have the opportunity to dine and enjoy the city I love so much
We had a remarkable time at The Waldorf Astoria Rooftop for dinner. It was quite an experience with the breathtaking views and excellent service. Food wise, everything was delicious. I can highly recommend the grilled salmon and Dubai chocolate dessert. One of the few places in LA you should really consider dining at. I definitely will return.
I am not one for reviews but I really have to give a shoutout to Adrian Gonzalez for being so attentive to us and just making us smile and making our date night so memorable. He truly went above and beyond for us. This type of service is so hard to find these days. I would go back just to see him (lol). The restaurant has some incredible views especially if you go during sunset. The food was really good. We got the hamachi, fries, steak, brookie, and some cocktails: raspberry lychee martini and two to mango margarita (10/10 recommend both). Definitely a spot to try out! Especially if you're visiting LA.

First off I want to mention that our review is for the rooftop pool area that is closed off for hotel guests only. We ate the same drinks and food as the public rooftop bar that came to the pool area, so I'm leaving a review on the rooftop page. The rooftop had sweeping views of the entire Los Ángeles basin. You could see clear across to downtown la, as well as beautiful up front and close views of the skyscrapers of century city. The entire rooftop was very picturesque with beautiful landscaping leading to a perfect vista point. As we first entered the rooftop pool area we noticed some people trying to sneak in right behind us. The staff was super watchful and immediately kicked them out. Which some people may think sucks but personally, I really appreciated that. Because I was staying at a 2k/night hotel and this was an amenity for the paying guests, if everyone can get in then it diluted the exclusivity of being there! We were promptly seated and Austin attended us both days we were there, he was very attentive to us, and our needs. He also let us know about some Great amenities we wouldn't have otherwise known if he didn't mention it to us, like the cold plunge and the infrared sauna. Those last few amenities really made the experience even more awesome. We used the pool and jacuzzi as well. The water felt soft, and the temperature was just right, and they situated it so perfectly. You can relax in the water and look at the spectacular views while also enjoying cocktails poolside. Amazing experience. We loved everything we ate and drank which isn't super typical since I have a very refined palate and high standards when it comes to food, especially at this caliber and price point. We had three different drinks there. The white sangria, spritzer , and cucumber martini and all three were 5 star drinks. They had just the right alcohol kick while maintaining a delicious taste. For food we had the pea guacamole and the lobster burger which were both fantastic. I wish they had an option to add jalapeños in them but for the burger we managed to ask for a side of chili flakes and hot sauce and that helped deliver a kick. But the flavor and texture of both were on par to our high standards and expectations from an esteemed establishment such as the Waldorf Beverly Hills. The rooftop was a paramount enhancement to our top notch experience at the Waldorf and we were very fortunate to have experienced it. Only one thing could have made it even better, live music. But it was cozy and intimate without it too so it had its own charm as-is. read more

My family and I made reservations to celebrate at JG's for my friend's 35th birthday. We made reservations for 6:00pm for the edge table. The views from this restaurant are breathtaking. There are plenty of areas to take pictures before entering the restaurant, but the view from the edge tables are the best as the sunsets. We brought in a bottle of champagne, which our waiter chilled for us. We ordered some food to share for the table. We tried lobster burger, salmon, pasta, avocado and corn salad, and the Tomahawk steak. The only entree that fell short was the Tomahawk unfortunately. The steak was completely bland and lacked any seasoning. We sent it back and ordered the lamb chops instead. The ambiance is really amazing here. Overall, the service and view made a wonderful night for my friend's birthday. read more

The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is in a beautiful location. The commanding views will not disappoint. The valet service was excellent as a guest of the hotel and should be the same for patrons of the restaurant. Well-placed heaters to keep you cozy on a chilly night. The service was good but a little overwhelmed I think so slower than I expected. The cocktails were well made and the food was also beautiful and tasty but again as it should be. I'm unlikely to make a special trip here but it's a great option for lunch or dinner when staying at the hotel I highly recommend. read more

If you're looking for the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, look no further-you will not be disappointed! This gem offers phenomenal panoramic views,exceptional service, and amazing food that's also reasonably priced, especially for such a prime Beverly Hills location we came here to celebrate my birthday, and it truly could not have been more perfect. A light rain earlier in the day made the skies even more magical, with puffy clouds and crystal-clear blue stretching across the horizon-absolutely breathtaking! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and asked what we were celebrating. The host chose the perfect spot for us-although honestly,every table here offers a stunning view. We started with the grilled octopus appetizer,which was incredible. For the main course, I had the red curry and my husband went with the smash burger-both were absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed a craft cocktail (which he said was amazing), and I had their refreshing pink lemonade. A highlight of our visit was meeting Andrew, the sweetest and most attentive manager, who went out of his way to ensure everything was just right. His entire team was equally wonderful- so warm,friendly, and genuinely committed to making the experience special. This place is truly a hidden treasure in the heart of Beverly Hills. I think I got swept up in the hype from others' reviews, but the food didn't impress me--it was just okay, and the atmosphere was pretty casual. The service was also average. I had a special request for a celebration, but it didn't add anything to the evening. Perhaps I just had higher expectations because of the location. read more

This is a celebrity go to, apparently...so I didn't have high hopes that the food would be good. I thought I would see a few celebs (which I did) and get a few good pics (which I did) and then leave hungry because all the hype, the food had to be bad (FAR FROM TRUTH) The food here is AMAZING!! I mean literally theeeee best salmon I ever had! Salmon is usually my go to. I'm telling you I've had a lot of salmon and I was SPEECHLESS at how incredible this was. I mean seasoned to perfection, perfect temp, everything on that plate came together for the perfect bite. I cannot say enough how amazing It was. Literally the highlight of my week long trip! I was questioning why the menu had so many doggone "sweet peas" in everything but I went with it and was not disappointed at all. The sweet pea guac amazing! I'm sure youve gotten the point with the salmon and the salad was great! Even the sides. The asparagus and the mash . I want to go back for the exact same order! Server was attentive, and had great conversation (again an area I thought would be lacking). Let me tell you - BELIEVE THE HYPE! Get dolled up and TREAT YOURSELF!! Overall great vibes. Crowd can be mixxy so I would be specific and intentional about seating choice when making your reservation My recommendation - make a reservation for 5:30pm and ask for a corner table! It is the perfect time to catch some sun, then get good sunset pics and leave before it gets chilly. read more

Pretty good service and food was tasty. It felt nice to come, valet my car, and enjoy a carefree girls night. Learning that hotel restaurants are probably my favorite experiences in Beverly Hills for going out. There's just something about having multiple options under one roof and a nice property. What we ordered: *Sashimi with spicy white ponzu ($39) *Pumpkin seed crusted salmon ($46) *Linguine with shrimp scampi & Calabrian chili ($37) My friend ordered a linguine dish that I think they took off the menu or evolved it to the shrimp scampi dish. But this one was okay too. In one of my pictures you can see it has the same items besides the shrimp and Calabrian chilis in the dish. The other two dishes were not too bad. Nothing left me feeling mesmerized or in awe. Mainly ordered the salmon because it had passion fruit, but the combined flavors of the dish were not for me. The views were great and we ordered a bottle of wine, that added some fun too! There's usually plenty of reservations during the weekends as well. First of all food, we have are amazing. It is obviously fresh made for sure. The service is good, but not all the way to five starts, it is normal when they become a job or a routine. Of course, the rooftop as his advantage of the view which probably make all the food cost a little bit more. Interesting that all the wait staff are gentlemen, probably is the scheduling issue but just wondering. Personality for this establishment I think can be better to earn my five starts. read more
The views here are breathtaking. Menu prices online however are different from in person. Burger was around $45. You do need to keep in mind that you are paying for the view as well. It was definitely a good burger and the fries were perfect - thin, perfectly crispy, light salted. The burrata was very good. Never had a ginger margarita before. It was extremely refreshing. The salt on the rim was some sort of ginger salt too. It was incredible. Probably the best drink I had the whole trip. Bloody Mary was great too. Can't call it "overpriced" because the view truly makes up for it and makes sense ... but I'd return for drinks only - maybe that side of fries! Everything is a 5! Service is as expected. Top notch. Food is also fantastic which I actually did not expect per se but yesssss to the crispy rice salmon sushi and the weekly Branzino special! The ambience is spectacular! Sunset is gorgeous! Needs to be 70-75 to not have a packet on but it's very nice. There's a first come first served area with 4 seating places for 2,4 and 6 ppl. There are space heaters but only two in this area. All else requires reservations unless you sit at the bar which is also FCFS. Music is jammin. Decor and comfort is fantastic. 180-240 degree views almost 360 of DTLA HW Hills CC BH and SM in the distance. Great drinks as well. Parking and all is pricey but to be expected. I wanna give this place three stars because the food was underwhelming but the vibe and ambiance won me over. Parking is valet only. The hotel is gorgeous and even the elevators we took to the rooftop were beautiful! Once you enter the rooftop it has amazing views of LA. On a gorgeous day, this view was 10/10! We ordered the lobster burger. It came with fries. The fries were more disappointing than the burgers. A little too crispy like it came from the bottom of the barrel. We enjoyed our drinks though and the servers were nice. FYI you for sure wanna make reservations. We came on Easter Sunday and it was fully booked. However, they were kind enough to let us sit at the bar. I'll be going back for the drinks and the view! read more

Best dish was the sashimi and then the lobster roll. Steak was bland. Salmon- I didn't like the seared crust and the vegetables were forgettable. Broccoli side dish was nicely seasoned. Mashed potatoes were whatever but good portion size. Lychee dessert was too sweet. Service was great. Ambiance is beautiful views! Overall, pricing is too high for portion size read more
My mom took us out for dinner here after reserving it for a while. She's heard good things about it and really wanted to take us! I haven't even heard of this spot till she took us and it is SUCH a beautiful spot!! The weather was perfect when we went and the sun was slowly setting towards the end which really set the mood. One thing about us is that we want to get our moneys worth and try as much as possible. So, we each got something along with an extra order so that we can try each others food, basically like family style. My drink for the night was just a virgin Shirley temple because I haven't had one in a while! Theirs was really flavorful and different than what I'm used to? I think the grenadine might've been made fresh or just REAL which I wasn't used to but it was delicious! We started with some steak & egg nachos to share amongst each other. The salsa on it was delish and love that the egg was scrambled! I love anything with egg so this was a huge plus for me. My bf ordered some lamb chops which I'm not a fan of but he really enjoyed it. I got the lobster burger! I LOVE a good lobster!! It was huge and perfectly cooked but I definitely only ate half so that I could save room and try the other foods. We got the chili garlic marinated chicken and ora king salmon which both had incredible flavor. We ended the night with a chocolate pudding that had crystallized Violet and soft cream. I thought I would hate it but it was very good! We were way too full to have anything else so I'm glad we shared it! Hoping to visit again soon and see if their menu items have changed at all. We came to the rooftop a view years ago. The views and drinks are always what we came for because the food was only so-so. However, today we decided to go for lunch. My husband asked me why here? The food is not that good. But oh my goodness it was SO good! We spoke to the waitress and they have a new chef. We had the hamachi crudo, the Raman, the papaya salad and the Thai curry dish and we ate every morsel. Washed it down with two martinis and we are some happy folks! If you are like us, definitely give them another shot! The place was packed and now we know why. The views AND the food are the best!! read more

Oof I wanted to like this place, but while the views and the pistachio guacamole were great, everything else was subpar and a bit tasteless. We got the Cesar salad and guac to split. I got the truffle burger and my friend got the mushroom risotto and we got one cocktail each. I couldn't taste the truffle at all in by burger and it was borderline overdone - definitely not worth $45. My friend had similar thoughts for the risotto. The drinks were also just okay, pricy and not unique enough to come back for. Altogether our bill was a little over $300. I am down to spend good money on great food, but this place is definitely overhyped and not it. Save your money and don't disappoint your palette. Come for the beautiful (really!) views and a drink but skip the food. read more

The food was good as well as the atmosphere but at the end they brought the check where it was billed for two bottles of sparkling water. Actually we didn't drank two bottles. The first one was already started previously and they just pour the leftover water to us, the second one yes we finished it. I just don't understand why do they did it. I was not satisfied by this action and I pay attention of what I drink and what I eat. Be honest with the customers and they will return. And the broccoli was tough. read more
Pro: top views, appetizers. Grow: sangria's. Tip: valet parking only. Wow, this rooftop has one of the best views of LA! You can see all of Beverly Hills, the Hollywood sign, and downtown LA. The views on their own are 5/5. This rooftop is located in Beverly Hills on top of the Waldorf Astoria hotel. It is valet only ($20 for two hours). This rooftop is perfect for a special occasion or staycation treat. The servers were friendly although a bit slow to take our order. Food: we got the power lunch which is about $60 for three courses. The appetizers were delicious! The tuna tartare and burrata were so good. I would come back just for those. The tuna was refreshing and fig app had the perfect balance of taste and texture. The main dishes were good but the salad could use more dressing and risotto was a bit salty. Desserts: cookies were surprisingly very tasty and we loved that they were served with fruit. The cake was beautiful but had too much going on. The chocolate, raspberry, and passion fruit were all competing and it just didn't work out. Drinks: the cocktails were tasty! The emperor's new drip and tequila mockingbird were our favorite. Both were refreshing and flavorful. The mockingbird has more of a spicy and the other has more of a floral taste. We also ordered sangrias but those were not our favorite as they were missing both flavor and sweetness which is characteristic of sangrias. Overall, this is a beautiful rooftop and the views alone are worth the visit. I loved the appetizers and cocktails here! read more

We were looking for somewhere in Beverly Hills to have a special, celebratory lunch. The Rooftop definitely fit the bill! The views are incredible, the service was excellent, and the food was also very good! You certainly pay quite a bit for all of that, but for an occasion, it's worth it! One tip: If you want to ensure you get a primo view, you can book on OpenTable and agree to spend a certain amount, and in return, you'll get one of the best tables. read more

Fabulous place to spend quality time with good girlfriends. Good food, great view, and delicious cocktails with great people. Where's there not to love? Stopped by here before attending my friend's victory party (another run for city council), and my girlfriends and l thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our waiter was very attentive, everyone was kind and welcoming, and the property is gorgeous. No complaints- I'm so grateful my gf chose this spot! We will be back! read more

You can! There's bar seating but it may take some time to grab a spot depending upon how busy. It's not impossible but I recommend a reservation

Yes. I have seen many nice tight dresses, and men with jeans and hats. Enjoy the views and the great drinks.

I haven't been there for dinner but there is no minimum $/person for brunch.

We brought our dogs, although we were guests of the hotel--not sure if policy differs for non-guests.

Yes, they are open on Sundays for outdoor dining.
How are they operating during COVID?
Based on my visit, they had great safety protocols. Social distance was enforced, masks were required to enter, staff were wearing masks and face shields, tables were sanitized, and of course it being outdoor helps.

I have read conflicting info on tables, are the tables only reserved for Hotel guests?
We weren't guests and just called ahead for a reservation.
Considering bringing my 90-year-old aunt for her birthday but concerned that it might be a bit too cold for her in the evening. I'm sure you have heaters, but still... She is a bit frail.…
I would not recommend this location in the evening for a 90 year old , it can get windy and cold
Is a reservation needed for a table of 2 on a Tuesday night?
Reservations technically aren't needed any day as they do take walk-in people, but it is better to be safe than sorry. The crowds aren't very predictable on any day and I definitely always make reservations
Can I order food other then appetizers at the bar/lounge area?
Yes.. we ate dinner at the lounge area since they didn't have a table!
