    Sierra wave- half without olives
    Lucy O.

Needed some carbs before hiking the Big Pine Lakes trail the next day and this place delivered :)! I wouldn't say their pizza is the most outstanding pizza ever but it was pretty good! I ordered the Sierra Wave which included so many ingredients such as garlic, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, olives, artichoke and jalapeños. I liked that I was able to custom order the pizza by requesting that only half included olives. It also noticed that they had quite a few pasta options on their menu. This pizza spot is very close to the hotels in Bishop. Their service was great and the restaurant was clean. I would just say this place needs a little more work on their ambiance, since it is a little dull inside.

Minestrone soup and a small garden salad without olives cheese or dressing.

My son and I came in on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy and took them a few minutes to seat us. I got minestrone and a small garden salad without cheese olives or dressing. The salad was bigger than I expected it was crisp and cold. A little wet but I enjoyed it. The minestrone was good. It was probably the highlight of the meal for me. My son got a kid cheese pizza which was a pretty big portion for a little guy. I ended up eating one slice of it. It was pretty cheesy and a bit doughy but he enjoyed it. All in all I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't stand out but it was a perfectly fine dining experience.

The Wave Pizza and I added pepperoni, it was SO Good! I'll definitely stop here again on my road trip!

The service was great, and the food tasted amazing! I'll definitely be back! Got a pitcher of beer for under 20!

We were passing through Bishop and we were craving Italian. We saw the couple of options of The Upper Crust and the Pizza factory. Glad we went to the Upper Crust! Pizza was delicious, crust was light. My wife had the special and loved the salad and spinach lasagna. Tasted like a grandmother trattoria made the food. Place is great for couples and families! Do not be fooled by the name of pizza! They offer entire Italian cuisine.

Been here twice in the last 2 months and I can not complain. The staff was friendly and the food was great. We ordered a garden salad, antipasta salad, garlic bread and wings. The place is nice for families and big groups. Only suggestion is add a little more toppings to the pizza. Overall great place and we will be coming back for a 3rd time

It's golden hour and the winter sun is pouring over the peaks of the Eastern Sierras through the large windows onto our table. It's pizza time!! We've been coming to Upper Crust for years and I'm happy to say that the food is as good now as it was before the pandemic. Do yourself a favor and order the dry wings (no sauce) and a salad to get your meal headed in the right direction. The Diablo Pizza is probably my favorite pizza at any restaurant. The shrimp, feta, herbs and spicy kick make this pizza extremely unique and scrumptious! The Sierra wave, loaded with artichoke and other briny veg is also one of our all time favorites. Honestly, it doesn't matter which pizza you order, because when the chef tosses that heavenly dough up in the air, you will realize that upper crust pizza is all about the perfect fluffy, crispy, and flavorful pie no matter how you like to dress it up.

Beer and salads are good, however pizza was dry. A little more sauce would have felt more hearty. Maybe it was just that might.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found the place almost empty. The interior had was San Diego-themed, with sports memorabilia as decor and a large TV screen. We ordered some chips Tortilla Chips, Guacamole, and Salsa for the table to start with. We were a party of 6, and the size of the Guacamole was honestly comical. I think we were each able to get a single scoop. The salsa was decent, but the Tortilla Chips were extremely salty. They had a long list of specials, and I ordered the Shrimp Ceviche from that list. This was fine, but far from the best ceviche of my life. My friends said the same of their meals, including the Fish Tacos and Surf & Turf Burrito. Everything was just okay. Service was good but not the quickest!

Unfortunately, ever since the ownership changed, the experience has gone downhill. The customer service is consistently rude and unwelcoming. It feels like staff are irritated just having to take your order. The food is now overpriced for the quality you get, which is a big change from how it used to be. I stopped going for about a year, but recently decided to give it another chance. I called in an order for myself and my disabled grandfather, who only has one arm. I politely asked multiple times if they could please cut the steak for him and even explained why. They clearly seemed annoyed by the request. When I picked up the food, everything looked rushed and just thrown into the boxes--and the steak was not cut. The rest of the meal was just as disappointing. The taquitos were plain with only cheese on top--no sides like guacamole or sour cream, especially disappointing for the price. The loaded potato wasn't even "loaded," just a plain potato. Between the poor service, lack of care, and declining food quality, this place is nothing like it used to be. It's honestly sad to see something that used to feel welcoming and enjoyable turn into somewhere I now dread going. I wouldn't recommend stopping here anymore. There are better places in town that actually value their customers.

The restrooms were clean with multiple stalls, and a designated parking lot is adjacent to the restaurant. I ordered the Eggs Benedict served with hash browns. Everything was delicious. The Hollandaise sauce was perfect, creamy, hint of lemon, and just the right amount. The ham steak on the Benedict was thick and flavorful. The hash browns were very tasty as well. My husband ordered the bacon and cheddar omelette with crispy hash browns. The omelette was large and loaded with bacon and covered in cheddar. He thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the crispy hash browns. His came with a choice of toast and he got the biscuit with gravy. He shared the biscuit with me and let me tell you it was heavenly-soft, buttery with just the right crumble. I ate mine with jelly and he loved the country gravy. We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth.
