Our server was great and recommended a couple dishes. They were AMAZING!! We tried the Wontons in Red Chili Oil, Shrimp in Black Bean Sauce (the chef's speciality is the Black Bean Sauce) and Andy's Pan Fried Noodle. So happy to have this new Chinese restaurant in Claremont! Enjoyed a wide variety of family style dishes with a large group of people. All were terrific. I think my favorite was a beef dish. Not sure what it was called but I've uploaded a photo. It's a very clean space with casual dining. You can get the food to go as well. Lots of drink and dessert selections on the wall, you have to look at a menu to see the food choices. I will definitely be eating here again, and will be telling my friends. read more

Nice little place hidden away in Southern Claremont, away from the busy Claremont Village. The place wasn't too busy but the staff were very quick to take our orders, make our food and refill water. Our waiter was very nice and explained things on the menu. Shrimp fried rice is yummy and very filling! We also ordered the orange chicken and it's delicious!! The broccoli was perfect and the orange chicken left me wanting more! Large portions so I recommend sharing. Good prices! read more

I gave this place five stars for the value of food I got for what I paid. I went for lunch and got the kung pao chicken lunch special and it was $8 including rice and egg flower soup. It was great. It came out steaming hot so I had to let it cool for a few minutes. The quality was good. The egg flower soup was very good. This place is clean and the service was very good The second time back and the kung app chicken was not as flavorful as the first time. The pot stickers were good though. read more

Don't let the interior of this place fool you. It looks like a quiet little boba and desert store, but the food is very delicious and authentic. They don't serve you small snack dishes like they would at a boba cafe. This place has to be one of the best Chinese food places around Claremont!! Get the Walnut shrimp!! Yum! Only downside is that it is a bit pricey and the portions are small. But it is well worth it. read more

This unassuming little place delivers on big, bold fresh flavors. I've ordered dumplings, broccoli beef, various chicken dishes and I've never been disappointed. They can adjust the heat level on most dishes. They offer an amazing lunch special. I enjoy their wide variety of drinks which include boba. Lychee with boba is my favorite. I've dined in and taken out and never been dissatisfied. Recently they catered a couple of dishes for a Birthday party and they were a big hit. Fast friendly service. Great flavors. UPDATE: At the beginning of the pandemic and stay at home orders, this we a go to spot for hearty, clean Chinese food- with high- quality ingredients even! The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice were jumbo and perfectly cooked. Recently, I've noticed a decline in the food. It doesn't taste the same the shrimp is different- just not the same high quality food. I'm a little sad, it was thr best around. I hope they bounce back post covid. Been looking for good Chinese Food in my area. Saw some great reviews about this place so I thought I would try. Ordered Kung Po Chicken and fried rice lunch. It comes with egg flour soup. I love egg flour soup. I could not wait to dive In. It was not good at all. It had a weird taste to it. However, the Kung Po was the best I have had in a while. Very flavorful in a nice dark sauce. My husband and I live walking distance to Upper House... which means the owners and I are now on a first-name basis... Whether we are eating-in or picking up to-go, food is always hot and delicious, owners are delightful, and service is excellent. The space is clean and ambiance is enjoyable. Menu is huge - lots of food, drink, and dessert choices from which to choose. When it comes to food: especially stand-out are the wontons in hot chili sauce (do not leave without an order!). We've also enjoyed the Andy's noodle dish, combination vegetable, pot stickers, pork dumplings, box choy, spicy pork and snow peas, spicy beef and snow peas, the shrimp fried rice, the war wonton soup, and several of the milk teas. The only thing I've tried and haven't loved is the hot and sour soup, but that's also just not my personal taste. Only areas Upper House could improve: I'd love to see more dishes with a variety of vegetables (namely, their fried rice, which only has just peas, carrots, and green onion). Luckily, the owners are happy to accommodate, and I always add extra vegetables for a $2 surcharge. Second, lunch specials come with soup (egg drop or hot and sour) instead of a spring or egg roll; I would prefer at least the choice of the latter. read more

Service is awful and the food is overpriced. I used to come here for the fried pork chop and rice and put up with their rude and racist attitudes, but when I brought my mother, they were rude to her too I decided enough was enough. Now I hope they close down. read more

The wontons in chili sauce are great. And the dry noodles with bean paste sounds gross but it's delicious. Fresh and light. Little to no MSG as Chinese food usually messes my stomach up. We are regulars here until tonight. They close at 9pm. We arrived at 8:20pm and they asked us to do to-go order only because they close at 9:00pm. The lady said that in the rudest voice too. Came here last night with some friends for dessert after a heavy kbbq meal. Dang i wish we had came here for dinner because the menu looked delicious! But since we were all pretty full we stuck to dessert and drinks. The Thai tea was good and the boba was soft and chewy. I had the brick toast with banana, hazelnut, and marshmallows. This was so good! I had intentions of sharing this but ended up finishing it all myself! The shaved snow was delicious as well and was a good sized sharing portion. Placed a phone order and it was a mistake ! Five minutes after I placed my order they called back to confirm my order because they lost it?? Then when going to pick up my order they found that they had given the order to someone else, so they call the person they gave my order to and get the order back. The other person came back and handed the food back. They go "inspect" the food, re-bagged my order and gave it to me. When i asked them to remake my order because it had left the premises (and cold by this point), but they insisted the food was fine and sent me on my way. read more
